  1. It's Active sky problem 100%. Open p3d without AS (clr skies), at sunset. Increase or decrease time until the sun is half set, you can see the sun (clear yellow orange), no fog and it illuminates ground or sea and objects, now open active sky (clear CAVOK weather set manually) and watch how the sun becomes yellowish and grey and it will not illuminate as it did with AS off. They are adding a haze where there should not be haze. It's their fault and unwillingness of fixing this.
  2. I use 8xMSAA and it hits too much fps still. (GTX 1080 Ti)
  3. I'm with AE on, Vol clouds to medium and loosing almost 10 fps when clouds are present with and without AS. So it's not only your 2d REX clouds issue nor installation.
  4. My monitor have the same specs as yours, I run it with a GTX 1080Ti and my NCP settings are as follows: 100Hz, Output dynamic range Full, Output color depth 10bpc, Set up G-SYNC Enable G-SYNC Compatible: ticked and Enable for windowed and full screen mode also ticked, Enable settings for the selected display model: ticked. P3d Program Settings: FXAA off, CUDA - GPUs All, Low Latency Mode Ultra, Monitor Technology G-SYNC Compatible, OpenGL rendering GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Power management mode Prefer maximum performance, Prefered refresh rate Highest available, Shader Cache off, Texture filtering Allow, texture filtering - Quality Hugh Performance (I used to have it in High quality but I compared screenshots with both and I can't see a difference).Last, Vertical sync, it is not recommended to set it to on but this is the only option that doesn't give me tearing when fps goes tp30or below (which very rarely does) P3d settings: target frame rate to unlimited, variable refresh rate: ticked Windows display graphic settings: Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling: ON Variable refresh rate ON The truth is, that comparing to setting monitor to 30Hz (if your monitor supports it) and limiting frames in NCP that gives almost no stutters, the fluidity of my settings (I use Track IR) is amazing, yes I have a few stutters but I can live with them if I have such fluid sim. To be more clear, I can't stand Track IR at 30 fps.
  5. This has happened since v5
  6. Exactly the same experience as you. What I would add, is to use global vector config tool to uncheck secondary roads traffic, if not, it will give (in my case) major stutters every second (p3d traffic on 10%).
  7. I've just resolve the texture loading. It was just as simple as giving the scenery a higher priority and put it above orbx stuff, interestingly "orbx libs verify files" sets it again at the bottom and here's where it fails to load. The scenery is MK Studio GCTS bought from orbx central BTW. Hope it helps.
  8. It happened to me today, arriving MK Studios GCTS on p3dv5.2 HT off, unlimited fps. Then locked to 30 (something that on previous version worked loading textures in 5 sec aprox) but made no difference. Then tried to force reload textures by reducing texture res one notch but it stucks on 20% every time and have to kill p3d in task manager.
  9. Exactly, I had the error with old drivers and a wrongly overclocked GPU (GTX 1080Ti). I've installed latest NVIDIA 471.11 and removed the OC and all's good now.
  10. Just as a mini update with my sim + envshade, I installed the latest nvidia driver 471.11 and till now, no dxgi hung errors, so maybe it was the old driver's issue. Thanks for the help to w6kd and GSalden.
  11. try Horizon haze to very low.
  12. Thanks very much, I will update GPU drivers and re test. BIOS, there's a new one (1901) but it's beta and only a minor fix/feature for Nvidia RTX 30, mine is latest non beta (1802). I hate to leave that old driver but can always go back. Regards
  13. re Sure and thanks for trying to help. For the admin: Evga GTX 1080 Ti Black, i9 9900K @ 5.2, 32 GB RAM (Corsair LED something), SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi). Pretty old driver but gave me no dxgi hung error until I installed envshade (NVIDIA 456.71). P3dv5.2 EA on Vol clouds to medium, all shadows on with the exception of vegetation cast, particles and No shadow flagged content. Scenery complexity (ectremely dense), Autogen and scenery draw distance (medium), Autogen veg and building both Dense. Envshade Settings: High Performance All normal except: Scenery brightness (high), Aircraft shadows depth (High) and Horizon haze (very low) AE Enabled ticked (green) Thanks again
  14. I gave this product a second, or third time now, it removed the haze, yes. But couldn't try it to more than 1 min, it gives me DXGI device hung error every session I tried (without envshade, no error), even restared pc twice. Sorry but it's a no for me. If TOGA comes with a solution I may try it again because I dislike that haze very much, that's the only reason.
  15. Hi, I ended up disabling them because of the slight performance hit but mostly because road lights will duplicate if you have Global installed. I like them, though because I set my autogen and draw distance to medium so ORBX lights don't go as far as the new p3d do. Another pro for me is that they are brighter which I like better. Cons, what turboken stated, they appear when it's too dark and the slight fps hit.
  16. Thanks a lot buddy, great job !
  17. That was exactly my impression when I tested this shaders mod. BTW, very grateful for it for sure, What the mod give us but half would be great IMHO.
  18. it worked for me, BTW, you can do it live, in real time with the sim and scenario open and see the changes right away after pressing save in the text editor of choice.
  19. I've set my upper more closely to the corner both ways up and left (and right) and the same for the lower right, my setting mods are the following (this is for my display which is 21:9 and 3440 x 1440): #upper { display: flex; position: fixed; top: 0%; left: 0.2%; width: 99.5%; color: white; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; pointer-events: none; text-shadow: -1px -1px 0 #000, 0 -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, 1px 0 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000, 0 1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, -1px 0 0 #000; } #lower { display: flex; position: fixed; bottom: 1%; left: 0%; width: 100%; color: white; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; pointer-events: none; text-shadow: -1px -1px 0 #000, 0 -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, 1px 0 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000, 0 1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, -1px 0 0 #000;
  20. My experience may help you. First I made a client and content update to 5.2, it was bad, got DXGI errors every session and few other issues like effects not getting installed, very strange. So decided to make a fresh install deleting every p3d folder as described in p3d's PDF. All fixed for me. So may be you could try this, hope it helps. (I'm with GTX 1080 Ti though)
  21. Great looking landing lights for sure!!! It's a shame for that nav red and green lights on some models, wish AIG fixes this (already posted on their forum but unfortunately they didn't fix it) it would look great with your next release, thanks for you work Simbol, always a pleasure .
