  1. The update for the FSDT Addon manager was for those with the P3D v2.5.12943.0 hotfix installed. If you haven't installed the P3D update, there is no need to update FSDT files. This is why you are getting the crashes. Jazz
  2. For FSDT CYVR, you will have to go to their website and download, and install, the latest version of the addon manager. Then install CYVR as usual. Jazz.
  3. To adjust the traffic level in UT2 without exiting P3D, use the kb shortcuts. CTRL+shift+F11 to decrease, and CTRL+Shift+F12 to increase the traffic. regards, Jazz
  4. Too funny! But it really is like beating a dead horse. Jazz
  5. The is an "Exits gauge" popup available for the Q400 here in the avsim library. It's very easy to install, blends in well with the Q400 vc, and it works perfectly. It may be just the ticket you all are looking for. Search for Majestic Software Dash 8 Q400 - Exits Control Gauge by Jim Hodkinson. regards, Jazz
  6. Impressive! You're gonna need a nuclear reactor in your backyard to power that thing. Without it, I can see it now; the neighbours lights going dim every time you turn over the engines on the 777... Cheers, Craig
  7. Have a look in the P3D Tips and Tricks forum. There are a couple of threads there revolving around the HDR effects, and overall brightness of P3D. cheers, Jazz
  8. Why wait, at all? There is soo much more to P3D, than Orbx or PMDG. The lighting, alone, made P3D, my sim of choice. It's just a matter of time before 3rd parties catch up. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, my choice. Everyone has the choice. regards, Craig
  9. Hey Rich, have you tried slewing up about 4 or 5 hundred feet. From the ground, the effect is very subtle, and practically non existent on the apron. Which may have something to do with the texture layering used for the aprons. I'm not a graphics artist, so I'm guessing as to why the blowing snow doesn't show around the aprons. Regards, Jazz
  10. That sux. I'm sure FT will figure it out soon, and get it fixed for everyone. Regarding P3D2.5, absolutely. I installed it this afternoon, actually. FT Toronto does bring my fps down a notch, (30-35 vs 45), but I can not complain. At least until I try an Airbus. Regards, Jazz
  11. Hey Rich, I didn't do anything special in P3D. For the scenery; Global setting of february...pretty obvious Effects Pavement wet and blowing snow both enabled. The other settings, such as windsocks, (which are working bass-ackwards by the way), taxi edge lights, etc., shouldn't have any effect on the blowing snow. Regards, Jazz
  12. The blowing snow is working for me. Just not in the deice area and some of the taxiways. But the deicing trucks actually do deice my plane. Pretty cool stuff. Very happy camper here. regards, Jazz
  13. I did, just couldn't resist the temptation. ;o) Back to my Q400 trip out of YUL. Cheers, Jazz
  14. AMD are even worse, Rob. Their parts are lower priced for a reason, they're junk. OK, that might sound a little harsh, but the performance has steadily declined since AMD bought out ATI. The gpu department has taken the same road as the cpu department, straight into the ditch. just my very biased opinion. regards, Jazz
  15. I'm happy that it worked for you. As for my all time favourite jazz singer, that has to be Frank Sinatra, followed by Tony Bennett. These days, artists like Micheal Buble, Diana Krall, and Norah Jones, are usually playing in the background at my house. Cheers, Jazz
  16. +1 for this. I wonder how many people actually delete the wrong folder, and then are left wondering what went wrong. What I have done, is created a shortcut, on my desktop, pointing to the proper shaders folder. Then, it's just a matter of opening it up, and deleting the contents. Regards, Jazz
  17. I suggest you try going to the FSDT website and downloading the latest version of their Addon Manager software. 7 times out of 10, it will solve your issues. Good luck. ;o) regards, Jazz I should add, this usually works, if indeed the problem has been caused by an update to GSX or the addon manager. I have found FSDT's software to be beautifully brilliant, but sometimes very quirky.
  18. To correect the airport elevation issues try running the Airport elevation correction tool built into Vector. Don't forget to click apply, once it has finished it's scan. Also, you may try disabling some of the secondary roads, tunnels, etc, inside vector, as well. i hope you get it figured out. Cheers, Jazz
  19. Unfortunately, crossfire does not work in windowed mode. AMD have stated that they have no plans to make crossfire work with the windowed mode used by P3D. So you will, in fact, be much further ahead going with an nvidia gpu. If you want the best bang for the buck offered by nvidia, a case can be made for the GTX 780 ti. It has a wider memory bus, and more stream processors giving it a performance only surpassed by the Titan line. Jazz
  20. An EVGA GTX980 SC w/ ACX 2.0. I have added a slightly higher oc @ 1400Mhz. This thing rocks P3D. Jazz
  21. There is a user review posted on the Iris website, regarding using the yoke with FSForce inside FSX. In short, the stick shaker actually works. That's enough for me to stay invested. I was, like many others, more than a little concerned about the quality/durability of the yoke, after the early reports of poor quality, and shipping damage issues. Upon hearing these reports, I had considered asking to be bumped to the back of the line, in the hope that the bugs could be worked out before my yoke got shipped. The fact that the newer orders are being shipped before the KS orders, tells me that Iris have indeed sorted out their production issues. Fingers crossed, that we all get what we hope will be a game changer in flight simming hardware. Jazz
  22. I have been using this case for the past 4 years, and have no plans on changing it. It isn't the prettiest, and it is a beast as far as size goes, but it provides excellent cooling. Very easy to work on, and has lots of options for cooling. With a drill and/or a dremel, you could easily fit a pair of 360 rads in this. I am currently running an i7 5930k @ 4.3 Ghz with a Corsair H100i 4x 120mm fans in push/pull, without any issues. My bottom line; an excellent case. Jazz
  23. GO SEAHAWKS!! The legion of BOOM is going to run wild, all over T. Brat and the Patriots. Cheers, 12
  24. If this is being caused by your cpu being bottle-necked and using the paging file, adding more ram will help. Another option to consider is purchasing a cheap tablet for your web pages. Just a thought. Craig.
  25. Looks good, Rob. It sure is nice to see a few of the niggling bugs getting fixed. I'm actually looking forward to installing v2.5. Q400 flights over the PNW are going be awesome. Craig.
