That looks like you're flying into a "Thomas Kincade" painting. Nicely done, Rich. Jazz

If you don't smile at this, you're a crusty old curmudgeon!

Awesome video, thanx for posting it. That just made my day. Jazz. -

Really coool shots! The cold grey sky, in pic 10, reminds of the coming winter. I can almost feel the frosty air on my cheeks. Jazz. -

Nice pics, Rob. Amazing, the amount of different lighting effects being reproduced in those shots. Not to be a nit picker; both, Annette Island and Ketchikan, are located in Alaska. :o Cheers, Jazz -
I have an older Asus Transformer tablet, it makes a great coaster on which to sit my coffee cup while flying. Do not want any coffee stains on my nice shiny desktop. ;o) On a more serious note, I use it for airport charts, and for flight planning on simbrief. I can't do without it now. Jazz

No other vendor is spending as much time upgrading their software for free, that for sure. Except, maybe, Microsoft. ;o) Jazz

+1000 ^. Knowledge is power, and a few minutes reading the manuals for your add on products goes a very long way. Crying about it doesn't solve anything. Jazz

If you have access to a powered USB hub, I would give it a try. And don't under-estimate Windows' ability to screw up a good thing, namely your flight sim setup ;o) Jazz ps, Oh, check with your keypad software to make sure it doesn't have some kind of power-saver feature working against you. It's unlikely, but some vendors do weird things with their hardware.

Cool pics. Those shadows look awesome. Jazz -
No problem, I'm happy you got it sorted out. The Q400 has a bit of a learning curve, but it's worth every minute spent flying her. Jazz

A big number 1 here. The upgrade process went smoothly,(thanx Rob). My frame rates have increased, and the inflight performance is simply stunning. I can not ask for more. There are still some visual anomalies that remain, but none that will be a deal breaker for me. Job well done LM, thank-you. Jazz

I haven't been on the crj 900's before either. My last trip back east, (2003) I did get to fly on one of the old BAE146-200's, from CYHZ to CYYT. Man, those were noisy birds, but a nice ride none the less. I look forward to seeing your pics of the KLM MD-11. Jazz

I would still try emailing Majestic directly. In my experiences with them, I received a response from them rather quickly. (less than an hour) Their support email address, if you are curious; support@majesticsoftware.com They ask that you include the following in your email; please send us your message per Email, including your order number, the software edition, your operating system name and the flight simulator version. Good luck. Jazz

I would uninstall 1.007 and start fresh. You may want to backup your q400 cfg and ini files and any added repaints. That way you can copy your added repaints and controller settings into your new installation and be flying again asap. regards, Jazz

Prepar3D V2.4 patch will be released Monday 9/29/14
Jazzfan replied to a topic in The Prepar3d Forum
The patch worked fine here. (v2.4.11570.0) The install went smoothly and was easy as pie. @Paul_...just copy the files specified by Rob, and you should be fine. Hold on to your backups, just in case you need them. Jazz -
Really nice shots. Great job. I miss living near YVR. Spent more than a few hours watching the planes fly over my house. I do not miss the rainy season though. Your Harbour Air and United photos are not showing. Jazz. ps, How was the milk run from the Rock?

They usually stick their heads in here once in a while. Lately, I'm guessing, they have been heads down, backside up, coding the Pro version. During initial release, there were some server issues that were dealt with through Majestic support. Jazz

A week ago I would have said, 'go for the 780 ti.' They had been on sale for $429.00, for the 3gb version. The 770 were going for $289. Those deals are quickly disappearing along with stock. After seeing the reviews, comparing these cards, I would go for the cheaper, more efficient 970/980's, in the 8gb versions if they appear. Jazz my .02c

Where is P3DV2.3 better than FSX Dx 10
Jazzfan replied to charleslee201's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
+1 to Bernie5. Why wait? If and when Pmdg come aboard, I'll be ready. Until then, I'll be busy flying and enjoying everything P3D has to offer right now. Jazz Life's too short, eat dessert first. -
Congratulations, Rob, on a well deserved appointment for one of the more respected members of the Avsim community. Best wishes and good luck. Regards, Jazz

I believe an email to majestic support is your only option. regards, Jazz
