  1. Available at the fs2crew online store. Current users of the Q400 Voice version only have to download the voice version from the fs2crew online store. Inside, you will find "FS2Crew Dash 8 Special Bundle.exe. Once installed, it is a simple matter of selecting voice or button, from the fs2crew control panel. Craig
  2. Awesome job, Bryan. Thank-You, Sir. It is much appreciated. Craig
  3. It is a custom controller setup that links directly to direct x, that has been offered by majestic for the Pro version of the Q400. FSUIPC is not required. Details can be found in the Docs supplied with the Q400 Pro. Craig ps, @ megs8888, try ticking the reverse box in fsuipc.
  4. Hi Wayne, do you mean that the yoke in the vc moves in the opposite direction? Are you using the 125hz setup for your joystick? regards, Craig
  5. On the Majestic website, go to the user area, and use your Pro version license information. regards, Craig
  6. @simmer2050, Granted, process lasso does make some things easier to accomplish. I'm happy to hear that it works for you. But it isn't the "be all; end all" solution to everything flight sim related, despite your infomercial. regards, Craig
  7. Everything that process lasso can do, can also be done in Windows, for free. As for the Win 10 popups, there are ways to remove the windows updates that installed said popups in the first place. Google and the knowledge of how to use Windows, are much better tools. That's just my opinion. Now to go back on topic; @ MichealMoe, What are you using for traffic? regards, Craig
  8. I agree with Rich, stick with the 850 watt, but choose a higher quality than the CX series. You will pay more $$$, but the stability of an overclock relies on a stable PSU. Seasonic are a good manufacturer, they are the company that manufactures Corsair psu's. Shopping around can save you a few bucks on the Seasonic. Personally, I would avoid the newer Samsung SSD's. The actual read/write speeds are not up to snuff. Craig
  9. If it's Manitoba, Canada, I'd say the farmer was too busy swatting flies to be able to plow a straight line. ;o) cheers, Craig
  10. @sparkie66, Your issue sounds like a permissions issue. Failures are supposed to clear after a restart/reload of the plane. In the case of the blown tires, they will be replaced after 20 minutes on the ground, with the engines off. If this isn't occuring, then I recommend you do a reinstall of the Q400. Be sure to right click the installer, and select "run as administrator." regards, Craig.
  11. Yeah, I agree Hamsammich, it is a pain. Worth the effort in the end, though. Now that the Q Pro is here, Christmas is going to be rather anti-climatic. Cheers, Craig ps, like your videos of the Q400.
  12. The new joystick interface is nice, but wait till you start playing with the sound maps. The default 3D effect is quiet in comparision. FYI, I'm using 5.1 surround here regards, Craig
  13. Hi Rene, Since you are using the mouse to move your condition levers, I would probably leave the settings at default. Have you tried using the 2D quadrant panel? (shift+4) And using the "ctrl+F3" to advance the condition levers. "Ctrl+F2" of course, to move them back. It isn't a very elegant solution as it takes a few key presses to get the levers to move. Cheers, Craig.
  14. The VC model, with or without the HUD, is selectable in the Control panel. You have to make your selection before you start the sim. Porter has the upgraded EFIS, and FMS, but I'm not certain if this would include the HGS, as well. Alaska/Horizon does have the HGS. regards, Craig With regards to the new controller interface, I have found flight controls are much smoother. Especially when maneuvering on the ground, and also in the flare, the control response is much more precise. regards, Craig
  15. Hi Rene, I had assumed that you were using the mouse to control the power, and condition levers. If you are using a quadrant, try recalibrating the levers in the control panel. Change any position values as necessary. If incorrectly calibrated, will give you issues similar to what you are reporting. Ex; using saitek quad for the Condition levers, they report -16384 at the "OFF" position. and -8800 at the "Start" position. Whereas the default values are something like; 5000 at the "OFF" position, and 23370 at the "Start" position. Regards, Craig
  16. I can't help you with the first issue, as I use a quadrant, not the mouse. For your other 2 issues; - After expanding the screen of the radio control panel for the TCAS test, the screen cannot be returned to the normal state with the 'exp' button. Pressing the 'pg1/2' button, will return your arcdu to it's normal page. - To use the FMS to tune the NAV radios, the corresponding radio must be set to the FMS position. regards, Craig.
  17. The PRO edition will uninstall the pilot version. You may want to copy and paste your pilot version to your desktop before running the Pro instaler. Then you can copy your repaints and cfg entries into the new aircraft cfg. Remember to right click on the installer and "run as administrator". regards, Craig
  18. Well, I can say she is still pretty light on the frame hit. I just finished a flight from FT Montreal to FT Toronto-Pearson, with overcast skies, and rain at Pearson. (MYT6 @15 %.) And my frames were hovering around 25 -27 on approach, through touchdown. Pretty dang good. if you ask me. In P3d v2.5, this same flight would have resulted in an OOM. The new controller interface, is amazing, to say the least. Makes my crappy saitek yoke behave "normally". If that makes any sense. Go pick her up, and give her a whirl. You will not regret it. She's my vote for best addon. Cheers, Craig
  19. Just completed my first flight, a short hop from Montreal to Quebec City, In P3D3. All I can say is NICE! Now, i'm off to do some reading up on the new systems panel, etc. Cheers Craig. @FSXtreme, I hear ya. I too, would have paid double. She's an incredible piece, and worth every penny. Even at $90.
  20. YEE-Haw! Downloading from Just Flight, after the upgrade offer, and some saved bonus points, I paid the grand total of $7.50. Cheers, Craig
  21. I received my notice from Just Flight as well. A big "Thank You" to JF and to Majestic, for making such an incredible offer. It is going to be a long weekend, with tons of reading, and test driving the Q400 Pro. Regards, Craig
  22. Rondon9898, Those are some very nice videos. I have found them to be a nice refresher course, after I have been away from the Q400 for a while. Great job, and thanks for sharing them here, with us. Cheers, Craig
  23. @motoadve, My apologies, I should have posted this link, instead of commenting on FSDT. If you decide to try again, setting the Affinity mask for your cpu, have a read through the first post in this thread; http://www.avsim.com/topic/444793-one-tweak-to-rule-them-all-how-to-set-affinity-mask-correctly/?hl=%2Baffinity+%2Bmask+%2Busing+%2Bwindows+%2Bcalculator The op gives an excellent tutorial on how to decode the binary/decimal geek speak of the mysterious affinity mask. regards, Craig
  24. Not every P3D user wants to modify their cfg file. But if you want to make a change in one of FSDT's sceneries, such as "View Optimisation", or to turn off the "ground vehicles", the Addon Manager will also add the AM, "Swap Wait Timeout," FFTF, "Buffer Pools," etc, etc., to your P3D cfg file. Most people that have issues with the Addon Manager, are asking a very legitimate question; Why? When a user only wants to disable the annoying ground traffic. Just my .02c regards Craig
