Or, this morning I can see that the airport I want to land is challenging CATIII due to morning fog. The airport I want to takeoff from is clear sky which would be a nice sunrise. But this morning I have to go to work …. in the evening when it is free time to fly, it is night, the weather is not the same at all, and there is no more CATIII conditions at the airport. Well, if I had historical weather, I could just set time and date to this morning and enjoy the flight with the weather conditions I wanted. As simple as that. And, I do not want preset weather either because with a preset there is no weather evolution in time. It would be CAT III all over the world. If at least we could choose a different preset for departure and arrival airports, and a point of transition from one to the other in between, that could be a step. Pierre

Well I had my 1st disappointment with the Fenix yesterday. Departing Corfu runway 34 on PARA1G departure, the route on the ND was not at all matching the departure path although Airbus philosophy for ND route is « what you see is what you fly ». In fact the aircraft even turn wrong side. I will open a ticket but I am not sure if it is due to Fenix or faulty navigraph data. It reminds me of this video. If Fenix can not do Corfu, this one will be tricky. Anyone tried it ? I will try this departure during my ongoing round trip in the Greek islands : Pierre

Just watched it and that is not bad at all. I am buying! For your interest, Bryan told me in another post that he is working on an app so that everyone can record its own voices and share it to the community of willing to in replacement of synthetic voices . Pierre

I would rather like a constructive list of those differences that can be better in Fslab than in the Fenix. 1st I am curious about those things because only A320 experienced pilot can understand such differences I guess, and I am not one but want to know. Secondly, it may help Fenix to improve their A320. Pierre

i5 12500 GTX1070 16Go RAM all SSD Went from 5600K to 12500 recently but that did not change anything. I tried increasing the terrain LOD from 100 to more but that did not make the buildings appear at farer distance. For exemple, landing at Laguardia the buildings in Manhattan does not appear when in final. I can see it is only orthophoto with one POI building alone i guess. I need to be closer for the buildings to appear. Also I noticed the game seems to look better if I am using drone view or replay. It may be placebo though Pierre

How much page file should be allowed ? I thought it was automatic. I would like to try setting the page file manually because I have kind that f the same problem as the OP. Pierre

Yep, starting from the MD80 version but there is only one video from Blackbox711 covering it and he used the italian accent voices which sounds funny and weird. Can not decide without hearing more but I guess with the Fenix being far more famous that the infamous Maddog, we will have video soon. Pierre

Yes saw that. But it is italian accent which I find overdone and sound funny. That’s why I would like to hear US english FO … I liked so much the FBW Airbus voices… Pierre

Hi, I am on the fence to buy this new FS2CREW for MD80. But can’t find any video review or flight using it. I am worried about the new voices which are not like previous version recorded sentences but rather composed sentences with pre recorded words if I understand well. I am afraid of robotic voices. I would have liked to listen to it a bit before buying… Any insight ? Pierre

Just changed the CPU recently from i5 5600K to i5 12500. I was wondering if it is best to aim for a cheap 3060ti or wait for 4070 and invest more money…if upgrading to 1440P. Pierre

Hi, If you want to have 3D vehicles ( baggage cart, catering truck, fuel loader) during loading, you will have to call them and over using ATC window or another plugin. That is a pity you can not have them to appear automatically while loading through the EFB, or even manually. We need GSX !!! Pierre

It is an issue everywhere. A week ago, flying over Mont Blanc, 40C temp on ground and all the Mont Blanc area was snow covered… immersion breaking. I don’t understand why it is not a priority bug since the beginning. But good to know there is no such issue with preset weather. I would like to know how to set wind in a preset so it increase with altitude, just like with live weather though.
