  1. Late! Everyone had a great time and went home days ago 😄🤪😜
  2. Or the simple answer:- Fenix A320 is the the Standard (Old version) and The FBW is the NEO (Newer version), I use both, both have pro's and con's, both are brilliant.
  3. ProATC handles Go Arounds, Diverts, Emergencies and Holding and the voices are human (although we could do with some more volunteers for different accents)
  4. Try deleting and re-building the rolling cache, I also use the Map Enhancement add-on which has its own cache that can be used alongside the MSFS rolling cache. I don't notice any undue pauses.
  5. Err nope, quite happy with my sim as you can see, I have over 250 add-ons in the community folder, I am also using AI Ground, AI Flows and FSLTL (for AI) Flight SIM First Officer for co-pilot and ProATC/SR for ATC. And I have no doubt my performance would be even better if I was not streaming.
  6. Goodness me, we do all love something to moan at, don't we? Something to worry about. I mean the last 4 years have been a dream for all of us worriers and moaners! And then just to break the routine when everything else just seems to be quietening down we can turn to our hobby and find something else to whine and complain about, life's just not fair! Well I think I have solved that problem. Soooo, when the wife's cooked the spuds for too long or Greta T is holding forth on the TV or ASOBO/MS haven't fixed this or that, just spend 20 minutes watching this video and everything will fall into perspective:- Here is the most frightening, bowl-loosening, gut-wrenching, fear inducing video you have ever seen. Designed to remove "all" niggles, worries and pedantic behaviour (or your money back). Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you "The Next End Of The World" (in technicolour) arriving between 2030 and 2040....................................
  7. All of the above. It's just breathtaking..........................
  8. Would you ride in a pilotless electric aircraft?
  9. Perhaps you should all start thinking about upgrading:- According to Microsoft, the offer (for free Windows 11 upgrade) end date is October 5, 2022. However, Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer. Can I continue to use Windows 10? Yes. You do not have to upgrade to Windows 11. We will continue to support Windows 10 until October 14, 2025.
  10. Nope, sorry mate, you're talking out of your ICE🤪😜
  11. I think, irrespective of ILS or PAPI, reality or simulation, you're either a pilot or a pancake........................... 🙃🤪
  12. Must admit I don't have this happen, although most of the airports I use are handcrafted and have the ILS aligned.
  13. Magdec applies to runway alignment with magnetic north, if it's never been updated on some sims it could be as much as 12 degrees out!! here is where to get the latest updated magdec.bgl, and instructions as to where it should go..................... Happy Landings (again 😉 https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html
  14. The P.A.P.I. problem is something else entirely, i.e. caused by the pilot's position in the cockpit. P.A.P.I are fixed in place so depending on what aircraft you are flying your view will be completely different. I would only ever rely on this as a (very) rough guide. The ILS, being a radio signal, is also fixed in place, so as you approach the rwy FF is where your aircraft coincides with the ILS radio signal.
  15. The problem is caused by the magdec.bgl file not being updated. Updated Magnetic variation data for FS9 FSX-P3D-MSFS Magnetic variation data calculated by FS9 date back from 1988 and have significantly changed (several degrees in some part of the world). Those used by FSX, P3Dv1-4 and MSFS are identical and date back from 2009. P3DV5 uses more recent data (around 2018-2019). FS9, FSX, MSFS and P3D (all versions) calculate magnetic variation using a special latitude/longitude table that is contained in the MAGDEC.BGL file. Details on its structure and the way it is used by the simulator are available in this FSDeveloper Wiki article. The new provided MAGDEC.BGL table corrects all magnetic variations for FS2004 & FSX-P3D- MSFS based on values calculated from the WMM2020 model at epox January 1st, 2023 and coded to the special normalized representation used in the MAGDEC.BGL file. Some additional details on how the simulator use the different "magnetic variation" data (MAGDEC.BGL file, ILS, navaid and airport magnetic declinations as defined in BGL files) can be read in this article. This package contains updated (2023) MAGDEC.BGL files for both FS2004 and FSX-P3D- MSFS as well as a test and information program (Sim MagVar Calculator).
  16. I said stop worrying about it, not ignore it. i.e. you don't need 120fps to get a smooth flight. Or to put it another way, you can have 120fps, but it still looks word not allowed.......................
  17. Try this, I saw an immediate improvement, the other advice I would give is "stop worrying about fps!" it's all about smoothness and no or very little stuttering.
  18. US startup unveils battery made from nuclear waste that could last up to 28,000 years
  19. Na', it's not that hard Bob, flightsim.to keeps track of all my downloads (about 320) and I update them in batches as they announce an update. I also use map enhancement (Bing Maps Latest). With a well tuned and maintained system crashes in MSFS are a very rare occurrence.
