  1. Hi Jeff, the release of the C90B- Package at simmarket was quite a bit after the release of the SP2 for the KingAir and if you puchased at Carenado they tell you all servicepack-files are now fully incorporated into the initial download, so I suppose that your version is 99,9% uptodate now :Peace: .
  2. Hi there, the landing lights themselves seem to be fully incorporated into the model so a tweaking of the fx-files is impossible, but I use the Shockwave lights on this plane here and it gives a much more realistic feel at night , but the 3d cones of shockwave lights seem to be overbrightened at daytime ... so there is also a drawback.
  3. Hi there, that is GEX Europe , UTX Europe, Scenery Tech Europe Landclass , ActiveSky 2012 .... and I use FS Global 2010 Mesh for the mountains. The deep shadows giving contrast to the mesh / mountains are produced by SHADE for FSX and my custom edited enb-series-mod.
  4. Off to kill bottle of champagne!! Yehaa!
  5. Both! First the 337 then the 210 :Peace: ! You cannot go wrong with each of them!
  6. Well, pacrticular on these manuals I love these great long general explanations of Fuelvent-heaters, betareverse, ENG-Anti-Ice etc. and all that stuff!# For the Checklists I stay with Carenado´s / Yoda´s to keep pace with the sim.
  7. No worries Ian, if you have Sp2 the stuff of Sp1 is FULLY included into it, so that doesn´t matter at all :Peace: ! I also see a difference in FPS when after I loaded the Carenado C90 I go to windowed mode and reload it and switch back to fullscreen the FPS are back ... yes really weired! When you are in windowed mode after loading the C90 you see a kind of splash-screen of the mouse operating-methods which I do NOT see when I load it fullscreen ... so I commented the "empty" entries in the panel.cfg out including the last for that explanation-screen and I feel to be cured after that. ....... and ..... [Window09] is nothing more than a splash-screen not really needed for the porper operation of the C90. If you want to try please do allways Backups of Originals!
  8. Edmundo thanks for providing that info! Great Manual!
  9. Brian, I had also some time ago the Saitek TQ and in these times I assigned via FSUIPC the "buttons" for the Propfeathers (the reverse region is described by a button-press with Saitek TQs) with "decrease prop 1" / "decrease prop 2" fs functions and check "buttons repeat while held" for both ... just out of recalling but it should work like this! Same works with the Thrustreverse (decrease thrust 1/ 2)!
  10. Hi folks, I did allready looots of hrs in the C90B ... this showcase is the flight from Vienna LOWW (Aerosoft MegaAirports/FlyTampa) to Lugano LSZA (Flylogic) via Klagenfurt & Verona south of the Alps. Parked on GA Ramp in Vienna , checking the last items before runup: On FL200 , heading to VOR Klagenfurt: South of Verona heading to Lugano: Descent to Lugano: Having her save and secure at Lugano Airport: Happy flying and I will keep posting if you like!
  11. Wow Trevor, what a sharp looking picture! great!
  12. Hi Richard, 1. right mouse-click -> create TXT-file 2. insert this: (or other longer script above) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_INVERTER", 0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.control(66701, 0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_VENT_BLOWER",-1) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_EFIS_POWER",0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.display("Cold and dark script complete") ipc.sleep(3000) 3. save as BE90_cold_dark.lua 4. Put in FSX / modules - folder 5. In FSX, open the FSUIPC menu and assign an unused key combo to "Lua BE90_cold_dark" That really does the trick!
  13. Hello Dave, it works all perfect as described except the Autoignition beeing still Armed on startup and with your cold & dark lua-script. It will "re-arm" when deactivated by mouse first with the script but not disarm! I had to take out the values for Bat / Gen1 / Gen2 and some others as with your script on my setup these will get activated. Well, the only thing left as said are the auto-ignition-switches. This is now my personal script, autoignition left out as it does not funtion till now: ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_INVERTER", 0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.control(66701, 0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_VENT_BLOWER",-1) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.writeLvar("L:ASD_SWITCH_EFIS_POWER",0) ipc.sleep(200) ipc.display("Cold and dark script complete") ipc.sleep(3000) Such great work you´ve done so far! How do you detect these values in FSX? Nice to be able to check each variable´s function in fsx by deleting it out of the script on the fly! The elevator_trim and Rudder_boost variables I will use as a further independable Lua-script to activate these before takeoff.
  14. Thanks much Dave! Will try very soon and will let you know if it works! As for my switches they are two-way-active so normally I can assign the upper position as toggle (on) and downward position for again toggle (off). Works with my other commands like Autofeathering great too!
  15. Yes Dave, the Autoingitions are on on startup, I use a cold & dark FSX Baron as default ?! There is about nothing more to complain about except this, your script is perect! I also could use that single VAR for the autoignitions as a LUA to setup my switches in my little homecockpit, as till now I can only activate them but not deactivate them with a switch ?! Thanks so much for that great help!
  16. Dave, one question, will this script also take care of the autoignition switches ... turning them off? Or better can you please quick explain, what switches will get turned off with the script as I can see some more unnamed controlls beeing "handled" ? Thanks so much!
  17. OMG!!! C525B you made our day! That was the exact thing I had in mind!! THANK YOU Dave , will try atonce I am home! WOW!
  18. Hi Dave, I can be completely wrong, but I think for 100% that all these values are set by Bernt Stolle by cause, making it possible to have a full controllable and true existing beta-range on that airplane with the very correct changing of the bladeangles! And as the sounds are "only" reverser-sounds and not yet assigned to the betarange too you will surely have to pull the throttles back pretty much as there is a first "gate" the so called "ground-fine-range" (beech term for the beta-range) and after that the next "gate" for the reverse ... and now there you will hear the special sound for the reversers ... so pretty much of "traveling" indeed, but indeed realistic! So having a true betarange in this bird, you are right you gain a much better fsx taxi control.
  19. Russ, the Beta sounds have never been there at any time I guess. It was just the Imagination to have a beta-sound in the beta-range as the throttle positions were not perfectly alligned in the VC and the reverse was set somewhere in the ground-fine postion in vc ... not sure if a proper realistic beta-sound can ever be created in FSX due to some limitations ... I don´t know ... but please correct me if I am wrong as I allways get a chicken-skin when listening to this so special wonderfull sound ... I want that too in FSX! :Peace: So if I might be right we could shorten the list again for 1 item ?!
  20. Hi, I had the same issue with some other weather radar gauges (RXP or the Carenado in the Malibu) ... I changed the cloud density values in the FSX.cfg and now I get a much nicer cloud indication on the gauge (I use AS2012) : CLOUD_COVERAGE_DENSITY=12 Hope it helps!
  21. Hello Neal, I run win7 64bit pro with just the "normal" soundcard on my motherboard with realtek drivers and I see no audio-fading when engaging the gear-lever, not on this plane or any other FSX-addon. Just like Ed said I too do believe it must be system-/ driver- / card- related or some options in your driver-tool may cause this. But I don´t think it has something to do with the audio-file or sound.cfg from Carenado itself.
  22. Hi Jean-Louis, I am no real world King Air pilot but as seen on different C90B Checklists and some answers about this , this should be they way it is done in real-life. I was wondering myself  regarding this. But yes, on before enginestart and off after N1 < 10% on shutdown ...
  23. Hi David, hm good question, but I guess as it was released to Flight1 and Simmarket about the same time after the release of SP2 it should allready be included ...
  24. Wow that is very difficult to answer! I started with the RXP GNS 430 BUT as soon as I got used to it I bought the GNS 530 and the Unlimited Package , which is needed to get Crossfill option and use two of them seperate units at one time! All in all, GNS 430 + 530 + Unlimited Package is about 200 USD , but it was one of my best deals ever made for FS2004 and FSX! Why not start with one unit of your choice and continue to buy the other bit by bit  . BTW, CooIP had a VERY good idea of packing in the default FSX GPS into the now "free space" of the Avidyne and I think would look neat too! :Nerd:
  25. Hello s.mellah! that is what I did basically, I have some other panel.cfg as I also use the RXP 430/530 combo: 1.) do backups before deleting or editing some original files!!! 2.) deactivate the WX gauges as Bert described above. 3.) copy paste / exchange these section in your panel.cfg (and again please do backup before that all !!!) So this would be the Panel.cfg for a standard NON-RXP-GNS-USE layout!
