  1. Hello everybody, on my now mid-range PC the Avidyne Unit is the most power hungry and FPS killing gauge in the B200 and also was in the C90B before. If I completely powered it off in the vc and 2D gauge then I have a very fluid and pleasing experience, back at "full FPS" in my case, so I decided to cut it out and replace it with the RXP Wx500 device, which gives still a realistic look and feel to the panel .... and besides of the Avidyne own Wx-radar , it shows allways the weather in my case. Carenado, I really like your Avidyne Unit, but for me it is a fun killer to see frames be cut by 10 FPS when using it! This is just an idea how to get some of the performance back if you can live without that unit. Here are some screenshots (note: when taking these screenshots I had nearly clear sky, so no weather to display on the radar ^_^ ) : Known Issue: ========== I had to use the noframe=on option for the WX500 gauge to have it nicely fitting into the vc and without greying out. That means the 2D popup has also no frame where you could see the knobs and buttons. BUT when hovering the mouse over the black 2D gauge frame green sections will illuminate to help you to find the right knobs to turn on and buttons to change range etc.... ! If anybody has a better solution for this Workarround please throw in a comment!!! Below are the needed config entries, please allways BACKUP original files! To have the two RXP Gns 530 units working correct together and to use these exact entries you need the RXP Unlimited pack! I did also a similar retrofit for the C90B, so if you like it I can post it on the corresponding forum section!
  2. Hello, don´t know if it is allready posted somewhere, 1.) it seems that the powerlevers in the vc are again offset of the Flight-idle position. If you press F1 you see it far behind in the betarange block ... just like in the vanilla C90B release! Please fix this again Carenado !! 2.) please put in the fact that the pressurization Dial is limited to a 10.000 ft cabin Alt, but it should be 15.000 ft in the B200 (and I think the C90B should have had this dial too ?!? )
  3. I tried to go up to FL 330, the red master waring will only flash up if you do not close the bleedair valves and if you "overscrew" the pressure-dial over the "26" at max. If you keep the dial exact on 26 then the warning in my case is NOT there! (Just like the Turbine Duke, the Alt-warning will flash there also allways if you don´t dial in exactly!)
  4. Hello dear Bert! thank you so much for this! Can you maybe also tell me how to add aline in there which would change the OAT also into Celsius every time I run the KA? Thanks to yours and flying bobs suggestions, I can now make two seperate panel folders for permanent winglets (newer liveries) and non-winglet (older liveries) B200´s ... that´s really great!
  5. Just found a B200 Training manual here: http://www.redskyven...ical_Manual.pdf There the pressurization scale for the cabin altitude is described as going from - 1000 ft to 15.000 ft ... so actual a complete different scala as we have now , adapted from the C90B (-1000ft to 10.000 ft) . Maybe some realworld B200 pliots can throw in a comment if this is releated to some different submodels built for the B200?!
  6. Hi all, as it is allready mentioned there ARE quite some differences in all aspects between the C90B and the B200. But besides these difference and besides me as a biased King Air FANATIC ... why did I buy for myself the B200? Well ... it is like with Carenado´s Bonanzas .... the V35B, F33B and even a A36 ( you can even add the Baron 58 if you were picky, it is the A36 Cell with "only" one more engine).... they all look in their ways nearly the same from the outside and inside BUT they are just beautifull classics, so many of us just have them all ! And from now on I will definately think which one is most adequate for my next flying "mission" before I get up , the C90B or the B200 .... :Nerd:
  7. ---- post deleted --- I was wrong!
  8. Hi John, I personally found that after using AS2012 I have had problems getting the Carenado Weather radar to work, whereas the RXP Wx500 still does it job ?! Could be only my setup causing this .... Did you try to use the CLOUD_COVERAGE_DENSITY=12 tweak in the FSX.cfg ? Maybe you can get the Carenado Wxradar to draw the clouds.
  9. Hello everybody, I would also put my vote for a HD Piper Navajo Chieftain or a HD Piper Seminole ! And PS: Carenado I love you for doing the B200 after the C90B !
  10. Hello Pidder, as you have both planes, can you tell us quick which one to seem to be lighter on performance the F1 or the Carenado one? I own the F1 C182T , but consider also the Carenado one if it is less system demanding ?! Cheers!
  11. Hi John, never park near a refuling station in FSX , it is a bug and it will allways close the doors as you described if you do so! Try to park her on the runway for a test and you will see it will open for sure!! It is not related to this specific Carenado A/C , it will happen with every addon.
  12. Hi there, allready got it, it is a C90 GT hangared not far from my home in Germany on a VERY short airfield! A 100% recommendation that video! Very good HD video and sound quality (1080p). You can see quite a bunch of tecs how to taxi the KingAir ... how and when to use beta .... etc...just great ... allways gets me a teardrop in my eye when watching! If you want to "learn" from that video for the Carenado C90B , keep in mind it is a C90 GT which has only a max rpm of 1900 (C90B -> 2200rpm) and quite higher max. of torque! In a GT you nearly never touch the proplevers in flight ... but the avionics and cockpitlayout is nearly the same in that video! Cheers!
  13. Hello, it is possible, but you should use the noframe=on parameter in the WX500.ini (that is what the JS41 is also using if I can recall) otherwise you will see an ugly grey overlay on the WX500 screen in the VC. Try to start with the exact entries like the Carenado radar is using and then strech it, otherwise the display will look a bit too small. I tried it myself before but it is a kind of workarround as you will not see any knobs in the 2D-popup. Also the buttons and knobs in the vc will never match. If you can live with that grey overlay in the VC you can just use the lines for the carenado radar and leave that noframe option out and it should be allright.
  14. Thanks Almi! wow so old that topic , forgot to look back in ... thanks so much for your reply ... allready got that! Much appreciated! :-)
  15. Wow that is a NICE repaint! I would love to have that ! :Peace:
  16. Hello Zane! that is very very interesting ... as stated it drove me crazy the calibration and in the FSX documentation that times I found no info that famous Mr. Pete Dowson would be the right person to talk with :Liar: . So thanks much for YOUR input ... hopefully Russ can , if he might purchase the pruduct, get even much more out of this nice hardware than I did!
  17. Russ, in particular I had most problems with the ES Cit X , F1 Cit Mustang and the PMDG Jetstream not recognizing the throttle axis. The reversers and the detents work definately as described ... just PERFECT, no need to worry about this part, I had never ever this great feeling again. Regarding having a ground-fine-region I cannot tell anymore, as it is about 2 years ago now when I got them. On my device I had one detent for each thrust lever into reverse (no "extra" gate for groundfine as IRL), one each for the full-feather position and one each for the Low-Idle condition position. But as said above, the calibration drove me NUTS ... nearly impossible to have the two levers, didn´t matter if thrust, props or cond in full sync position ... they were nearly everytime out of sync in the VC / sim if I had them in sync on my throttle quadrant. The elite calibration software showed a perfect calibration and inside the sim they were out of sync! I know IRL it is also impossible to have them exactly in sync but I am talking of huge numbers, often a "full lever" off. Remind to have a FULL registered version of FSUIPC to use the ELITE quadrant ... funny thing was, allthough you need a full FSUIPC you are NOT able to assign ANY lever to a function inside FSUIPC .... :Liar: ! So all these things got me back to "standart" USB devices , the ELITE Throttle quadrant is not "calibrateable" inside of Windows ... just a "ELITE-interface". Again, it is perfectly crafted but for FSX you have to live with some drawbacks and again, I do NOT know if that is still all the case, maybe they have a new software having all these issues fixed?!
  18. Hi Russ, I used it for FS2004 / FSX and was pleased with it, BUT it is VERY difficult to calibrate it as you have to use the cutom made program by ELITE in FSX and thus you won´t be able to finetune and customize it inside of FSUIPC. Don´t know if it is still the case, worth a request at ELITE before a purchase! Also I got some problems to be not recognized by the FADEC system some jets have and therefor I had no thrust in some aircrafts. So under the line it is VERY VERY well made and usefull, but its use in FSX is now limited due to the facts above so I sold it and got to the Goflight TQ6. Hope I could help!
  19. I would say it is like comparing the Carenado V35 with the Carenado A36 Bonanza ... if you like Beechcraft you need both nevertheless :Peace: !
  20. As the Milviz is allready released ... I bought it and so have both ... and I say I like both of them equally. The Carenado Be58 catches great the new lines and modern interior while the Milviz Be55 gives the wonderfull used touch of the older days. So you definately cannot go wrong with each of them as they are not the same, not by handling, not by engines , not by visuals ... they are both great individuals!
  21. Hi James, Don´t park your plane near refueling spots. This won´t open any doors of any vendor´s plane. Try just for fun to start a flight on a runway there you should see that you can open all of your doors. That is a FSX bug and happens to me too if I am parking too close to these fuel-stations ... I am 100% sure this is your case too.
  22. Hi ArezOne, that is excellent news, thanks for that Update!! did you manage to also fix the propeller-sound-pitch-issue?
  23. Also be aware that if you would drop throttle below Ng 75% the pressurization-system could cause problems !
  24. hi, can you please tell me what this value static thrust will do especially with the C90B ? What is the advantage of using 110 instead of the 75? Thanks!
