  1. Edited the title to warn people. I suggest people wait till after xmas for proper verification. If this is a scam, its one of the most legit looking ones so far...
  2. May the video speak for itself.... With regards to any possible questions on why this is not announced on the main website: It seems available now, follow the video link description.
  3. That's correct as far as I know, its absolutely not necessary for sever subscription, although for the sake of convenience - the sever consolidates all this information (hence the subscription fee), you might want to consider it. Disclaimer: No affiliation to FlightSimSoft...
  4. 1. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/87981-differences-between-extended-and-current-airbus-series/ 2. Nobody forces you to purchase it. With this much upgrades, you cant expect it for free. External standalone weather radar itself that some of the other shops sell are already 3/4 or more of the upgrade price - there is a upgrade price avail in case you didn't know.. 3. The AXE already received major upgrades compared to it since V1.0 (not counting bug fixes), so its more than right for a EOL (End of Life) product cycle.
  5. Just my 2 cents on the subject of FDE realism, Having worked on at least a major airliner for FS and having talked to Real World Pilots, Level D Sim guys and some not so public sources, the conclusion reached was similar: Sim Trainers, or any desktop PC simulation are meant to fly the numbers, nothing more. What this simply means, anything related to the word "feel" and such are highly subjective. No doubt, there will be countless claims of super accurate feel in some products description but what it simply is - flying the numbers. While flying the numbers does not mean its not realistic, it does means everything is on rails, no matter how you put it. No doubt, I don't claim to be a expert, and am not one, but well, a forum it is.
  6. I suggest you head over to the Aerosoft Support Forums and open a thread.
  7. As we find it hard to believe two accounts can use the exact same address and that the friends would come together every time to write for a forum reply, we shut down one account. If you any further support issues, you are free to contact support@aerosoft.com. No more support will be provided in the forums.
  8. It has been stated on the aerosoft forums that there is a eCommerce software issue.
  9. I(or ckyliu) never claimed otherwise? In any case, the main reason why longhaul is boring (for me) is because cruise is boring. and again, I never said/meant it as a fact.
  10. Same here, never understood why some people love long haul. Another suggestions I would give is to do group flights, although some of my beta testers frown at me when I suggest to group flight into a default airports at different locations to keep it interesting.
  11. The basis of using more than 4GB but still be 32bit is not easy WITH source code. But to do that without FSX source code again is impossible. My point: unless they are top notch coders AND have FSX source code, you are better off saving that few bucks. Now I think I warned enough. It's up to people to decide now and I shall get back to my hole of coding for the Airbus.
  12. People, some "scientific" knowledge regarding 64 bit. It's extremely hard to convert a complex game with direct x 9 with tons of legacy C code to 64 bit WITH source code. An example article on the number of cautions a C++ developer has to take just to make sure the data types used in 64bit is used correctly : http://www.viva64.com/en/a/0004/ Now to do the miracle of Reverse Engineer (which the basis of this tool itself may be illegal) and manage to convert all that legacy code and don't break anything else in the process is impossible. I hate to see people waste even a penny on this kind of things and hence that's why I am still posting even though people say don't jump to conclusion. This will very likely be my last post on this matter.
  13. S C A M. I think it's as clear as daylight that is the case. If such coding genius is able to reverse engineer the FSX code, he might as well work for the major tech companies where he will get 10x the pay in FS or maybe even code a brand new FS.
  14. lol. Their site yesterday didn't even contain the scenery page and the next day miracle they had a new scenery.... My opinion as a hobbyist C++ developer. This is absolute bull. Just avoid it like plague.
  15. Physics and Wing Flex.... They don't match. Animations are one of those things that lag behind in sim. You see the lift, than the flex. Not quite physics right there. Lets just say I have a second opinion on that bold phrase. Airbus and 35 degrees of climb.... mmmm. and at the end of it all, makes me wonder if your cockpit is the window seat.
  16. Should you feel the upgrade is not worth you money, you can not purchase it, no problem. However, its not a service pack. Its an expansion pack. I personally spent quite a lot of time on the IAE Engines just to nail everything down together with my FDE guy and you want that free? The Weather Radar itself has a development lifespan of over 8 months+ now and you also want that free? I think lets be realistic here. We have already gave improvements on the original extended release by miles, by adding features that we didn't even promise. I think that its reasonable to charge for new features that cost money and time to develop, we are not a charity after all. PS: Sorry for off topic
  17. You should have tried the free trial version first.
  18. It may be an airline policy not to mix the two as the both have very different cockpit philosophy. However, afaik, its completely legal to do so as long as you have the necessary type rating. I am not sure about the max two type rating, someone else will have to answer that, but a A320 family has a separate type rating from the A330/40 although if one has either, they have only differences training to get the other.
  19. Some do, when they have both type ratings.
  20. The AXE is not claimed to be P3D V2.2 compatible. However, you should first confirm the memory leak is coming from the AXE, by starting p3d with the AXE and stay on the ground without moving at all (engines started with full FPLN). Watch the memory usage in taskmgr. If the memory increase by more than 10MB continuously then yes its a memory leak. Memory leaks are extremely hard to confirm on the move (aircraft moving) without proper tools (that typical customers wouldn't have).
  21. Its a design choice. This have been discussed at the aerosoft forums before. Reason being is that you cant see much of the wing from the pilots chair position unless you plaster your face to the glass.
  22. Interesting topic.... I am a mid-level simmer at heart. I mostly do SID to STAR direct routing without any Flight Planners. I do sometimes use PFPX auto routing and random weights to get a OFP when I have extra time. I use time accel as much as I can. I fly without ATC 100% of the time. I sometimes start on the runway too when I am too lazy to taxi. MCDU/FMC setup only needs three mins of my time because of the simplified way I do things.... Lastly.... IRS INSTANT ALIGN is what I go for.
