  1. I don't know. The fallout from this 'piece of software' I would imagine will be pretty big in the simming world. Anything else just wouldn't be PMDG.
  2. Then we should specify different speeds. With a 50 kt headwind, moving at 100 kts groundspeed will give you an overall 150 kts of airspeed, which is enough for some lighter weights. But using that same 50 kt headwind and an airspeed of 100 kts, that is not sufficent as you are only moving at 100 kts through the air (50 kts groundspeed).
  3. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/downloads/docs.htmlThis will take you to their online hosting of the manuals for some of their latest projects. The manuals there are for the FS9 version of the 747, but I think you will find them satisfactory for any side-reading you are doing as they are virtually the same.
  4. I want to, but the packers come tomorrow (or I guess today) and I won't have my flying computer back for a few weeks.
  5. That's once you are in the airline. The seniority list we are referring to is to get into the airline.
  6. Yeah, is that a Delta livery where it happens? I got one off of AVSIM that your post made me remember, it did the same thing. Removing the Delta and finding a new one fixed it.
  7. He was referring to seniority in the class. Like the person with the highest marks picks first, then on down to the person who did the worst. It's more complicated than that though.
  8. Pull back far enough to achieve 3 degrees of pitch per second. The amount changes with differing COG.
  9. I don't think its called booking when you just casually hop in just any old morning. I think a better name would be lucky!
  10. Since there is only one, I 'd say Navigraph is preferred. ;)
  11. If I could've I would've, but I can't. Just narrowing stuff down. If it were weight, the FMC would have behaved normally, giving a MAX ALT warning. If it were step climbs, choosing a new altitude should alter the altitude markings for all the waypoints automatically, and certainly not prevented him from typing in a new altitude on the waypoints.
  12. No, he would have been told MAX ALT. The FMC isn't supposed to stop you from choosing any altitude unless you literally cannot reach it.
  13. Check out BVATC. We keep a very professional server. While we do stay in the northeast US most of the time, we do regular events all over the country, and in fact next month we will be having our first overseas event in Europe.
  14. Don't think he is looking for a flying group, just someone to talk airplane with him; possibly while in-flight.

  16. Remember to sign your name to your post, forum rules. This topic would most likely get more responses in the MD11 forum, http://forum.avsim.net/forum/353-pmdg-md-11/
  17. That's defiantly not the Pogo Stick, it has wheels on both sides. I would fathom we found one of their hidden secrets though.
  18. Try mine then. It will take user entered Winds Aloft Data, and calculate accordingly. You will need a Google Account to use and the link is in my signature.
  19. The manatee clearly means that PMDG has something up the proverbial sleeve. See where its left fin is "up" on its right arm. That, or it has an itchy armpit
  20. I have a question of my own, what do the VATSIM controllers call you? Do they say PMDG738, or is there some clever callsign like "Precision"?

    NGX Trim

Yes, unfortunately that is what it means.
  22. Well, RSR is short for Robert's name. I would imagine PMDG made the change instead of just RSR.The 747X is the same aircraft, just in FSX version. Some features that are only possible in FSX are there, but the aircraft systems are the same.
