Sorry, but from my own past experience you are fighting a looseing battle with that cpu and a 32 bit operating system. Sorry, but facts are facts. That system just will not satisfactorially handle fsx.

Anyone that wants a good video on how to setup EZDOK should go to youtube.com and do a search for Frooglesim. He has a video that explains his method for setting it up and I think his stuff looks great. He also has a lot of other great videos on youtube about a lot of flightsim topics.

Robert, I feel your frustation soo much. I have an MSI motherboard that automatically overclocks my I7-860 cpu to 4.3MHz and 16 gb of g-skill ram or 8 gb of patriot ram, an 850 watt power supply from corsair. I do need to get some ssd harddrives though. I have built all of my own computers for at least 15 years now along with my sons and daughters computers. They don't seem to want to learn how to do it or for that matter perform any proper preventative maintenance on their computers. Bring them to Dad when they are broke or slow or infected with a virus. I keep telling them they need to learn, because I am now 70 years old and won't be here forever to rescue them. Like talking to a brick wall. I am rebuildoing my sons fsx computer again right now. I have been working on it for over two months trying to get everything just right, even though He won't understand what or why I am doing things a certain way, and He will probably corrupt the system again within 6 to 8 months. This has not left much time at all for my own system. So it just goes on and on. Geez, believe me, I feel your frustration and pain. I too, love fsx. I fall in love with every new plane that comes out. When I graduated from high school in 1957 I missed the test to become a navigator on a B-52 by 1 point. They told me to come back in a year and take the test again, but I opted for guided missile defense programs in the US Army instead. Always wanted to be a pilot or at least be in aviation some way. I suppose fsx is as close as I will ever get. You are not alone in your frustrations and disappointments with fsx, but it is still the best we have. I suppose there are many of us with these feelings. Well anyway Robert, try to have some good enjoyable flights now and then whenever things seem to want to work properly on your computer. zowen11 - I hope you are right about optimizations in the fsx code. Keep flyin everyone and Happy Newyear to all of you.

By the way the MSI P55-GD80 mb has a overclock button that you push in before you bootup the computer. It does a good job of automatically overclocking the I7 870 cpu from 2.9GHz tp 3.9GHz and it doesn't help fsx that much.

These are the type of results that have turned me off to building a newer computer for fsx. First off I don't know why the newer hardware is having such bad results with fsx. I am still using a Quad-Core (Q9550 at stock speed), GTX 260 video card, corsair 750 watt power supply, with 4 gb corsair ram. I am running WinXP 64bit, UTX, GEX, REX, SceneryTech Landclass and I am getting as good or better results. All scenery sliders are almost maxed out, traffic sliders are off except for 28% airliners. I have a newer computer setting in the corner that I tried to setup for fsx with terrible results. MSI MB P55-GD80, I7 870 cpu, 8gb Patriot ram, I have also tried 16gb of Geil ram, Asus GTX 275 video card with 2gb on board ram, a corsair 850 watt power supply. It has a huge V8 cooler master cpu cooler in the full tower HAF cooler master case, and as far as fsx goes it is the biggest paperweight I have ever had. I feel your pain. I will be 70 years old Jan 22, 2013, and I have just about decided I will never see fsx run the way I would like to see it. My 2 sons used to bring their computers over and we would hook up a lan setup and instead of enjoying the evening flying together we would spend most of the night tweaking. Some of it has been enjoyable, but I really think Microsoft did all of us a great injustice.

Did you actually purchase this from Feeltheres web site or from one of the other resellers? You needd to go to the site that you actually purchased it from and if was a download purchase keep a backup of the download for future reinstalls.

Which operating system is being used now by the majority of simmers - Winxp 64bit or win7 64 bit and which one seems to be resulting in the best overall performance concerning smoothness or fps ?

Will the Highmemfix and the affinitymask tweaks affect fsx in both winxp 64bit or win7 64bit or just one of the operating systems?

What are some of the other options for multiplayer online flying for fsx. My son lives 98 miles away and we enjoy online flying at least once or twice a week. Gamespy has presented problems though over the years.

Oh good Lord !!! Just watched this video and then watched the flight on youtube from JFK to Lej. Did a search for your other videos. Well I won't get anything done today (I'm retired). Videos are just amazing - external views of landings are so real looking I can't get over it. I envy your knowledge of how to really get immersed in flightsim and know which addons to use. Simply amazing. Thank you for sharing the videos. I am going to reload fs9.

Just some info. If you go to youtube and do a search for Froogle you will get some really good videos on setting up the pmdg ngx and ezca. After watching his video on ezca I understood a lot more than I did before. He is kind of funny too. He likes to order coffee in fs2crew.

Could you possibly upload your files to the Avsim library so a lot of us could download your work and enjoy them in fsx.
