  1. A bit of a suggestion for you: have a look at the VRInsight Airbus FCU. This is basically the entire A320/330 glareshield and will save you from buying extra panels after the autopilot. They even have a downsized Airbus overhead if you want to take things that far. http://vrinsight.com/public_html/index.php?module=Board&action=SiteBoard_1&iBrdNo=31&sMode=SELECT_FORM
  2. Looks like the PMDG instruments in this photo: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=268105323272680&set=pb.169734156443131.-2207520000.1383043826.&type=3&theater I might be wrong though.
  3. Luke, the displays run off whatever you have running. It could run the PMDG avionics like it did with their 737 setup.
  4. I can't wait for this one- there's something about big old radial aircraft that intrigues me.
  5. Hi all, I just came upon the news that Jetmax has released its plans to build 777 modules in the same format as their current 737NG model. No pricing information as of yet but it looks pretty awesome!! http://www.jetmax.ca/news/images-of-the-new-jetmax-777sktq/

  7. It was indeed very very sad to see such an advanced and beautiful aircraft leave the skies. I seriously hope that one will fly again.
  8. Hello, I've heard a lot of great things about this new DX10 Fixer, including an FPS increase. I think my computer is still in the Jurassic days at DX9 (How do I check?). This sounds like a good purchase, but how does it run? Do you have to enable DX10 Preview mode within FSX to use this product? Or do I have to modify my AMD 6970's settings to change over to DX10? Also, how much of an FPS increase are we talking about? I'm currently running my NGX at ORBX YBBN around 8-10 FPS (mind you, most of my settings sliders are far to the left). Could I get up around 20 FPS in the same scenario with this tool? Thanks very much in advance.
  9. I started watching Ice Pilots NWT recently and now I am more excited than ever for the DC-6. Can't wait to have a big ol' radial propliner in my hangar!
  10. Oh my word. That's amazing! I'm not a big fan of the interior either, but who knows. It might change over time.
  11. That looks pretty decent. Definitely something that WWII simmers should take a look at.
  12. The PMDG has some more functionality if you're a rivet counter. If you want better model and texture quality stay with the NGX.
  13. Or you can simply turn water effects down to zero.
  14. This is the PMDG forum and other add-ons are not supported here. I suggest that you go over to the IFly forum and request it there. Already in the library. B)
  15. It isn't available for the NGX only at this point in time. However I understand that they will be adding full NGX compatibility in a few weeks.
  16. Hello, I'm considering purchasing the VRInsight Boeing MCP. Before taking the plunge and buying it, I'd like to ask some current owners of the device if the following aircraft work: PMDG 777, 747, 737NGX Level D 767 PMDG MD-11, J41 FSLabs Concorde Aerosoft Airbus extended CS 707, 727 Majestic Q400 Realair Dukes Thank you very much in advance.

    A380?

I think our best chance for a systems deep A380 will be when Aerosoft finish their A330. I REALLY want an A380 now (They started services to my local airport yesterday).
  18. Okay, looks like that mod isn't the way to go. Thanks, Jim!
  19. Does anyone have the keyboard mod or seen it in action?
  20. I have the same issue and I only use REX. I wouldn't think that this is an FSX problem, I haven't encountered this glitch on any other aircraft.
  21. The jerkiness is due to dust in the bottom of the physical Saitek lever. The dust corrupts data and throttles become jerky in FSX. I just fit one of those plastic sheet covers over both quadrants when I'm not using them. I'll see if covering them affects the results in the long run. Unfortunately, to get rid of this problem you have to physically open up the throttles and clean out the potentiometers with a cotton bud, but lucky for you there's a tutorial on how to do that. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOw9Cu_-cEI
  22. This happened to me before. The parking brakes remain engaged when the chocks are enabled in the "Ground connections" menu in the FMC.
  23. Ah, I see that it sold before it was released?
