it is a bit of a strange issue which to pick, FSX is standing still and is really going nowhere,DTG will be 64bit and P3d V4 I assume will be shortly 64 bit,JV has stated that the free Orbx installer updates will not be available for v4,so as Orbx have been bloody good to us with lots of free updates,it must therefore involve a fair bit of reworking/rewriting of their scenery for it to be P3dv4 compatible?,no current add ons as far as I understand will work with a 64 bit program,its a decision that most of us will make sooner or later,only thing you can be certain of it will cost a lot of money and take some time to get back to the position I am in with P3d v3 today,or I could stop with P3d! which is not a bad place to be, Peter

if you have EMT you can enable it and then use the dispatcher to install new liveries,I have installed several this way and they look good to my eye,s,I then disabled the EMT,tried a quick take off and landing without issue,I have not tried used the dispatcher for setting anything else Peter

"I don't know which one fixed it but is now working fine". this answers a question for me I had installed the BAE 146 into P3d v3 with no apparent issue and was wondering why when others were having issues,after reading this I then remembered I believe an issue with EZCAM where I had installed all the simmconect from the rdist folder ,amazing I had stopped a future problem without realizing what I was doing Peter

I have always liked the C310r and the B55,but always found that they would only ever run at around 30fps even unlocked on my system,( nothing wrong with that )well since the update and moving over to win 10 they seem to run at 50+ fps unlocked and the textures seem to look even sharper,I do use DSR and no Nvidia inspector,but these two old birds really do look very good to my eyes,and the update was for free so for once well done Milviz Peter

I use DSR 1.50 x33 all the time ,with an Asus 970 strix GPU,my frame are around 60 fps unlimited and the image is sharp and smooth,I do not use Nvidia inspector,i did find that when I fist started using DSR I had to press alt/enter to get the screen into the DSR mode,it know seems to always go straight into the DSR mode without any help from me,I am using the latest Nvidia driver ( the one giving all the trouble) but it works good for for me,maybe a driver issue,maybe you PC is going straight into DSR and does not need you to press alt/enter any longer,try opening the P3Dd setting and look at your resolution from the start Peter

delete P3d as previous recommended,run CC to remove registry leftovers,then install the three programs on there own,1= install client 2=install Content,3=install Scenery,various install problems were reported on LM forums and this method seemed to sort them,hope this works for you! you could have some left over registry entries from a previous install,which you search for and remove with Reg edit function but unless you are really happy playing with the reg-edit function leave it alone, it could really mess things up for you Peter

I had the Nvidia install failure 3 times with the latest drivers,which I have never experienced before,So I closed down Comodo firewall,Panda antivirus,Superantispyware,Malwarebytes and guess what they installed like a dream,I believe the antivirus was stopping my install from completing Peter

hello can any one please provide link to the updated dispatcher,I have down loaded the only one I can find on the QW forum(ver 1.4) and it still does not work,showing cannot find P3d,I am using win10 p3dv3.2 if that makes a difference many thanks Peter

what annoys me is that as I get older I find that having set something up and feeling happy with my work,I then get really upset going back and finding all my good work has been changed,this makes me wonder what other things are being changed by other software causing issues that we simply have no knowledge of.a lot more than we think,please what is SCE ( did a Google search answer "Southern California Edison?") funny I asked the same question over at Orbx ,didn't receive any answer! further my library seems to shift around on its own,I have spent time arranging the scenery library as recommended on the Orbx forums only to find it has moved just by starting the sim,also I find that changing Orbx regions shift,s the library around,from what I read on the Orbx forums it is designed to do that Peter

well as I fly GA low and slow so do not have to many extra programs installed only Rex weather,all my add on scenery(Fly Tampa Aerosoft etc)is installed outside of the sim and linked via the scenery Library,just wondering if a maybe a message to the devs to enable their add ons to be installed as per LM recommendations would help you guys?,I can only go with what i see and for me this update does not seem to have lost me anything or caused me any issues apart from Orbx flow needing updateing,it seems slightly sharper and smoother,I do not know how the water looks only flown on land as yet,funny game this flight simming we have gone from stating that a problem was caused by the way FSX was left by MS and can,t be changed,to having to come to terms with LM constantly updating P3d to improve the sim,I can not see this updating cycle stopping for some time,we are dealing with a company who because of what it manufacture,s needs as near perfection in it,s products as possible,so we need to keep hold of our hats hang on for the ride and smile Peter

528 post regarding a very simple procedure that LM said it would make updating P3d easier! it certainly seems to have confused a lot of people,it took me approx 10mins to download the new version,approx 1min to extract and 5 mins to uninstall and reinstall the various parts,I then deleted the shader folder,I then reinstalled Orbx Global which seems to take for ever to start installing and then to finish off reinstalled the latest version of good old Orbx lib,s.To be honest an unbelievably easy and Foolproof method of up dating P3d,my p3d program is 126gb in size and contains 254,964 files,it all seems to be running and looking very good with no issues yet found, so thanks and well done LM Peter

Left Click on Start menu,All Programs,Orbx,left click,there is on my pc the program "uninstall FTX Orbx global base pack"run that program then reinstall Peter

I use Revo uninstaller,which performs a normal uninstall using the software,s own uninstaller then has a deep scan facility for any left over file,s,which is about as clean as I think you can get it,you can use the Reg edit feature to search the registry and delete left over entries,but you need to be VERY careful what you delete!,better still you can then reinstall using the Revo install monitor feature, this enables you to completely monitor all installs and uninstalls thereby achieving a complete uninstall,well thats what the advertizing blurb states peter
