hi there was a thread earlier requesting the hobbit paint scheme either the first film or now with the doslation of smaug due out. ive looked on avsim library and can find no paint scheme with the 777 and hobbit would anyone know where i can get it or if anyone is wiling to paint if this isnt the right forum to ask this please delete thanks all

Hi Defo not normal I can hear the engines spool up and start and it sounds awesome. Maybe check your volume mixer as mine initially was turned down. Left click the speaker icon in bottom right (in win 7 on my pc it's bottom right) Then click mixer and see hat your fsx is at maybe drag that up a little see if that helps If not I sure someone with more knowledge and expertise will help

I'm taking a guess as not on my computer at min. But could this be the RAAS on he aircraft?

By using the FMC to see what the wind component for each waypoint and checking fuel etc this stops the messages as you have been physically there using FMC etc

I never use time compression. I always fly for my VA and our software doesn't allow time compression, plus I enjoy looking at the fuel etc while in cruise. I don't have any opinions on why people use it as it personal circumstances but nothing worse when people on vatsim or ivao use time compression and zoom past you at warp speed

Try using the flight1 registry fixer

It might be a wild goose chase but check that it hasn't been un registered as mine was and it turned out fine when leaving as wasn't there long enough for it to be affected but when arriving it preloads etc and by time landed it had disappeared

I have a custom watercooled pc inc graphics card and CPU on normal gaming I run at 35-42c

i will put my 2 cents worth and say i have a 3770k overclocked to 4.5ghz which runs during FSX at about 45c never goes above 51c. I have all sliders on max except AI and airport vehicles i have uk2000 airports, ftx eng and wales, rex, as2012, gex, utx i get around 40fps in the vc at gatwick online using vatsim. i have had 1 or 2 oom but 99% of time i can do a full 15hr flight without any issues. i have tweaked my cfg using ventuboo and also followed some tweaks on nickn i will say that not all of the tweaks work on my system i assume every system is different. I do not look for fps tho i am after smooth flight that looks real and i have now accomplished this this is obviously my own opnion and results (others may vary)

If the activation codes do not work I would open a support ticket with pmdg

I also have no issue unless you change livery. Maybe reinstall the livery if problem continues

foghorn - sorry if you already have this checked but make sure ur mic button is clicked on the radio panel as some people forget to select this and then cant hear / talk to atc

Good find but shame it loses the model I mean I do fly 99.9% of time in VC mode but I do like to take screenshots of outside model and sometimes look at it flying etc

I get this if I take off while it is raining. This is a fsx problem and not a pmdg problem.

I would put a support ticket in pmdg site they will help you I'm sure

while not 100% accurate or best routes etc this covers the basics for you http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ type in your dept airport and dest airport and it gives u the route. Also try simroutes.com

i have surround sound pc headset and will i need this to make the most of the sounds or as it is a surround sound headset it works already?

I've had this issue before might be worth checking if ny updates for the airport or if its a FSDT airport try updating the add on manager This sorted mine out

With 4096 in CFG and Rex of 2048 and utx gex ftx eng and Wales and uk2000 airports and pmdg I can land at heathrow with VAS of 3.6. This is with no scenery or airports disabled
