  1. Interesting, so you have all the other options? Off, DLAA, TAA, FXAA and then AMD FSR2 but no DLSS? Hopefully someone else has an answer for you. I'm not currently at home so I can't dig around in the sim to try and help.
  2. If you didn't already know, you have to select DLSS under the AA setting. The DLSS mode selection wont show up until you select DLSS as the AA option.
  3. I would love a C210. First airplane I ever flew in and probably 90% of my FS9 days were in Carenado's 210.
  4. Yeah, assuming the button should work but it doesn't. You have to click the lever currently. I also found out you have to push the front door lever down after closing it to make it lock.
  5. Same here. I just hopped in the TBM for the first time in probably 10 months and it felt great. Avionics are awesome now, flight model felt better than I remembered and the front/cargo doors even open on the default plane now. As long as you're in the beta the latest update includes these upgrades, so remove any add-ons you might have that could cause conflict (like the TBM improvement mod).
  6. Speaking of overly long and rambling. You could've just said "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
  7. Also, quick question on how to properly use the auto-throttle. How do you disengage TO mode and engage climb thrust? Do you simply need to press the TOGA button again and then from there just click the AT button and engage FLC? That was my only "I have no idea how to operate this aircraft" moment from my first flight last night. But just rocketing up at like 6000 FPM with TO thrust was neat.
  8. Did a flight last night and it's like a completely different aircraft. Nearly everything is functional and I spent the whole cruise just messing around with the avionics. So cool being able to monitor stuff like the electrical or bleed air systems while bringing the APU online, starting the engines and resetting the generators after start. My only complaints: 1. The herky jerky vertical actions with the autopilot - when transitioning to different speed restrictions it will abruptly level off to gain speed. 2. I hope they model the cabin in the exterior model so I can't see right through the passenger cabin windows at certain exterior angles.
  9. If you have a 4090 you should 100% be running DX12 with frame generation.
  10. I'm at 3440x1440 just upgraded from a 10700K to a 13600K a few weeks ago and there really wasn't much difference in MSFS to be honest. I feel like I would've gotten the same benefit from the 4-series card if I still had the 10th gen CPU.
  11. Got my first couple of actual flights in last night. Literally the best money I've spent on any upgrade in my 20 years of simming. I was skeptical it would be as good as it really is. Did a flight with the PMDG and Fenix and both were 100% smooth the whole time with no stutters. 13600K @ 5.4 4080 @ 2.8 undervolted to .95mV 3440x1440 144hz G-Sync Ultra preset with TAA PMDG: 110-120 FPS on the ground at Verticalsim KBOI 130-140 FPS once airborne 90-100 FPS on approach to Verticalsim KBOI Fenix: 100-110 FPS on the ground at KSEA 120-130 FPS once airborne 80-90 FPS on approach to KPDX
  12. Do you fly the Fenix? If so, are you having the same experience? I tested it really quickly last night and while it was still showing 70-90 FPS it was not nearly as fluid as the PMDG and the stutters were really pronounced.
  13. Well, I didn't have much time last night but I will say I'm blown away. 3440x1440 with everything ultra, TLOD 200 and DLAA with FG I was getting 100-110 FPS cockpit and 115-120 FPS external on the ground at Verticalsim KBOI with the PMDG. Once airborne I was around 120-130 FPS. I think the comment about it being "fluid" and being able to really sense speed is the most accurate way to describe the difference compared to 30-60 FPS I've always been used to. Coming in along the foothills on approach to KBOI and looking out the window you get a completely different sense of actual speed over the ground. The increase in immersion is pretty wild.
  14. Loved reading this thread. Like others I forked over the coin for a 4080 solely for FG. Picked it up last night but it is literally a millimeter too long to fit in a 4000D with a front mounted radiator. Have to run to the store to buy a different CPU cooling solution but I should hopefully be back in business and able to test out this new card tonight.
  15. Is there a way to enter fix info in the A310? I love using fix distance rings in the 737 and A320 for situational awareness on approach and was just wondering if this is possible in the A310.
  16. Definitely had a "fast load" even though the loading screen said something about the first load taking a long time but subsequent loads would be normal. Definitely no WASM compilation and the horrible performance shows. Really exciting to learn this plane once they get the issues sorted out. \\ I also noticed I couldn't get my Honeycomb Bravo calibrated correctly. Normal throttle axis selected and did the EFB calibration but zero throttle in the actual cockpit until my Bravo throttle levers are about 50%.
  17. Just switched from my 10700K to a 13600K (quick 5.4 all P-Core OC) over the weekend and saw noticeable improvement. 3440x1440 everything ultra, TAA, 200 TLOD and with the PMDG on the ground at Verticalsim's KBOI I gained ~10FPS (about 58FPS now) and my lows are much improved so the head panning with my Tobii is fantastic. I was hesitant to upgrade but the CPU was $30 off and I got a steal on a good Z690 MB. After selling my old MB and 10700K I was less than $200 out of pocket.
  18. You nailed it. Others having to render two to four times as many pixels depending on resolution is the reason.
  19. Yup, I've noticed the same. Two windsocks at the east end of the airport and there always seems to be one pointing the wrong way and one the correct way.
  20. No issues that I've noticed. It's my home airport so I fly in/out a few times a week as well as doing a lot of circuit work there. When I get home this evening I can do some testing to make sure I'm not seeing a noticeable drop in the same scenario.
  21. I had the same issue with FSR. The solution was reinstalling it in a different location and/or making sure you run MSFS as administrator. Seems to be a common issue if FSR is installed in the "program files" folder.
  22. This is great. I fly in/out of here to/from KBOI a lot. It will be nice to pair this with Verticalsim's KBOI scenery.
  23. Yeah, I didn't use it in the beta because small text was blurry and the transitions where blurred as well. For example, when spooling up the engines the N1 would rapidly increase and the numbers were basically just blurs until stable. I had zero performance gains with DLSS vs TAA and TAA was a much better image quality.
  24. It's literally the first post of the thread. "Sim Update 10 launches tomorrow, September 21st, at 8:00am PDT / 1500Z." You still have another hour.
  25. Within MSFS there is a setting in the sensitivity options for the Tobii called "head tracking sensitivity: position" which is 0 by default. Just put it up to 1 or so. This is head position forward/back/side to side. Not sure why it's off be default. Is this the setting you say you have at 0.15 and if it is higher your head is or moves outside the cockpit? Have you made sure to put a key binding to center or reset eye tracking? You'll need to get situated in your normal seating position and reset the tracking so it's centered.
