  1. One of my favorites in P3D even though their texture work was never fantastic. After taking my first couple of flights in the 414 this week I have been blown away by the graphics quality. Having that Lear in MSFS with the same level of texture work excites the hell out of me. The WT CJ4 is great but that Lear is a handful.
  2. Interested to see the difference here. I finally had some free time yesterday so I purchased the 414 and I felt like the camera view felt really zoomed in or way too close to the panel. I was going to spend some time setting up some new presets before my next flight. I watched a few YouTube reviews and most of them had a much further back and natural looking cockpit view.
  3. It's an MSFS "feature" that is supposed to mimic how your eye would adjust to light. Always been in MSFS sadly. That aside, seems like there have been a lot of comments on the FBW discord that the screens are too dark in newer builds and they stated they are aware and are working to fix the issue.
  4. I also noticed in my recent flight that it handles speed constraints much better. Not sure how new this is, as I don't get to fly as much as I'd like, but it will now maintain current speed until about 5 miles out from a waypoint with a restriction. Prior to this it would always apply the speed restriction for the entire leg leading up to that waypoint.
  5. I haven't had a CTD in a few months. I was getting them fairly frequently awhile back (late September if I remember correctly) with the WT CJ4 so I used it as an incentive to tackle the FBW A320. Never had one with the FBW and in the last week I've hopped back in the CJ for a handful of flights with no issue. For me, the sim has been rock solid for the last few months.
  6. Loads of good info. I will agree he isn't the most enthusiastic speaker. If it weren't for all the technical info I find intriguing I would be hard pressed to stay engaged for the entire half hour haha.
  7. The speaker is Mark Brown, Kodiak Chief Demo Pilot and Sales/Marketing Director for Daher. He probably knows that plane as well as anyone.
  8. This video talks about the landing gear and how it was built to be extremely robust for bush flying and one of the side effects is it being stiff. "You're not going to have the softest landings in a Kodiak but you can land just about anywhere" One thing he mentions is the nose wheel and main gear are rated to hit a 9" tree stump without shearing off the gear. That's pretty wild.
  9. I wonder why the frame impact is hitting some and not others. I might go mess around with some graphics settings. I have everything on ultra with a 3080 Ti at 3440x1440 and I get a huge frame hit when I pop on the avionics and it's all gained back when I pop the breaker for the standby instrument like Simple B suggested.
  10. Thank you! They need to get that fixed. I was plummeting from about 65 to 45 when I flipped on the avionics and I couldn't figure out why.
  11. 2:30 on an M.2 with the system in my signature.
  12. I'm happy with Track IR and have been for years but the current iteration is over a decade old and some competition to the market is welcome. Current price is $205 USD which is $20 more than Track IR 5 with the TrackClip Pro. If MSFS integration works well I'll gladly pay the additional cost to not bother with having to wear a hat with a flimsy metal clip or my headset with a wired LED devices strapped to it every time I fly. Eye tracking is just that, it tracks eye movement and pans accordingly. There are many YouTube videos demonstrating it. Here is one showing the calibration process and a demonstration using it in Euro Truck Simulator.
  13. Hmm, I would try reaching out on their Discord support.
  14. It tracks head or actual eye movement and I don't have to wear a stupid clip on my head every flight? Count me in. Been using Track IR for years but this looks like a nice step forward.
  15. Were you doing anything or typing anything when the failure occurred? The EFB doesn't override key bindings for the sim, so say you typing with the number row or number pad for the TOD calculator and one of those keys could have a binding that would cause an engine failure (fuel or engine master perhaps.... not really sure if any of those are tied to number keys by default). Just a thought.
  16. Awesome, I'll have a look when I get home. I did the update right after SU6 and then another maybe a day or two ago but I'll check again. I get a little frustrated here and there but sometimes I'm able to manually adjust the flight plan to get a more accurate flight path. When I switch back to the dev model I really miss being able to use the "fix info" page. It's getting better week by week and it's free so I try not to get too frustrated.
  17. I did two flights yesterday with the experimental version and still had the wacky flight paths between the SID and approach. Ending up having to use manual heading to bring myself around to intercept the localizer both times.
  18. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Release Highlights for v0.7.5 Please refer to the changelog for a more detailed description of changes in this release. Now compatible with game patch 1.20.6.0 (Sim Update 6)
  19. Looking promising so far. Two 1.5 hour flights in the FBW yesterday and they both went just fine. Really hoping the random CTDs are fixed. The WT CJ4 game me a lot of fits with CTDs and just a couple days ago I had my first one with the FBW but it was right as I was exiting the runway after landing so I wasn't too irritated.
  20. It's because there is currently a full moon. Change the date to a new moon and it's the same darkness as it was before.
  21. Works fine. What issues were you thinking you'd run into? Most flights I'm only hand-flying for about 30 seconds after takeoff and short final.
  22. I'm at this office right now but I think it's around .85v or a tad less to hold 1900mhz without issue. This is on a FE card. Taking it down to closer to .75v to hold 1750mhz is a negligible difference in performance and only pulls about 200W from what I remember. This is a great guide and can be used for the 3080Ti just fine. It should give you a good baseline to start with.
  23. I have a 3080ti which I've undervolted and it holds 1900mhz at around 275W and stays around 70c while playing MSFS. On warmer days I have lowered the voltage and clock a tad with minimal performance loss.
  24. I did a flight this morning to KPDX with the FBW and I had a similar issue with the 10L ILS. Frequency was entered correctly but it never showed up in the bottom left of the PFD and I never got the localizer or the glideslope.
  25. Similar situation for me. Trying to do a flight form KVGT to KASE the other day and I had 3 crashes in a row pretty much at the exact same spot from LAS MMM via V394. I just gave up and flew KJAC to KASE with no issues. Sometimes I just change the scenario a bit, something as small as changing which parking spot I'm at, and it seems to fix the issue. Yesterday I was trying to fly out of KASE and I got a CTD about 3-4 times while setting up the FMS. Changed my parking spot and had no issue.
