  1. They are about 2 years old, even then it's still miles better than the same 1 return flight every day that each aircraft flies in TG. Slightly old is one thing, fictional is another.
  2. It always makes way more sense to install the OS on the fastest drive that you have at the time. The only thing you might benefit from the sim being on a faster drive is slightly better load times. Read your motherboard manual to find out what specific impact your M.2 drives will have on your PCIe bandwidth.
  3. No, they are very different issues. You can run out of vram all day long and never have a dxgi error and you can have dxgi errors and not be anywhere close to running out of vram. Some users get both while many others don't have issues at all. I've had a few dxgi errors when v5 first came out but none since and have never have problems with vram.
  4. You wouldn't be filing IFR at 500ft as it's below any usable IFR altitudes. If you want 500 or lower, then just go VFR.
  5. I use the Steam version and my FB and ORBX installs are ALL in the Community folder.
  6. I'm not going to fugly up my MSFS like TG did with P3d. I'll prefer to keep the default AI and wait for freeware which will most likely be sooner than having to pay for a traffic addon.
  7. Check your aircraft assignments in UTL vs what you are expecting to see. While there are lots of Cargo operators in UTL, there's no FedEx or UPS by default and many other airline liveries you need to add and assign yourself.
  8. His vram usage is probably just fine, for some reason many lump DXGI errors in with VRAM issues which they are quite different.
  9. Yup, it's got some bugs and they'll get worked out soon enough. A good idea though is to learn to actually fly first so you don't have to rely on the autopilot to do everything.
  10. It gives you the option of where to install. Sure your AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator will have some data to it, but most is stored elsewhere. I installed mine to K:\Microsoft Flight Simulator.
  11. The default KORS looks good from above, but on the ground its just so bland compared to the ORBX version. Night and day.
  12. Initially I had issues on the install/download until I ran the installer as an admin and after that it was all up and running great in about 80-90 mins.
  13. Not sure what world you live in, but as mentioned over and over again, it's very common and it's done frequently.
  14. Almost 28 years now in ATC, I guess I've been doing it wrong this whole time. 🙄
  15. Say what? ATC is responsible for terrain separation when issuing ANY altitudes or vectors when on an IFR clearance. In the sim however, not so much.
  16. No, of course not but it had nothing to do with the 7900 altitude assignment, or any other non even thousand altitude. I wouldn't and couldn't expect either the default or payware ATC to know every minimum IFR altitude including MRVA's. The default ATC has never known much about mountains and terrain clearance. The point was more the fact that your comment about "Never in the history of aviation has an aircraft been asked to climb to or descend to some random altitude like 7,800. Never. " is a wrong assumption. How do you know it's random? I'm not arguing the fact that it was too low, thats clearly obvious but odd altitude clearances are issued all day every day worldwide, they just have adequate IFR terrain separation.
  17. Not true at all. It all depends on the minimum IFR altitude applicable for where the aircraft is. MRVA's for instance are rarely at even altitudes as are most other Min IFR alts.
  18. In the brief time I ran 4k, I just used the Windows display scaling and set a custom % to get the zoom that worked best for me.
  19. Chrome actually has approx 69% of the worldwide non-mobile browser market up to June of this year. Safari and Firefox both have about 8.75 and Edge has just under 4%.
  20. It all depends on the conditions, if the snow is heavy it'll melt and if dry it will blow away from the jetblast.
  21. It's only 8 million more pixels being refreshed 30, 60 or more times per second. It's going to have some effect on performance. 🤔
  22. Also try not to let installers install full products into the Documents folder, create a specific folder of your choosing. I have a few hundred addon's in both my v4 and also v5 and the Documents folder is still under 50mb for each sim.
  23. Even if you do have to update or uninstall/reinstall P3d, the uninstaller only removes P3d files and not those that were installed by other products. It's not really a big deal.
