I use P3D (v3.4) and this stick is working perfect. Except for one thing: if you press the 'Y' key for slew mode, the plain starts spinning around like crazy. It does so with all airplanes. The funny thing is that on startup, as long as you do not touch the stick, slew mode works ok. Once you have used the stick, slew mode goes bananas Any ideas ?

I put my money on the IEXG 737 Classic for X-plane
-
Solved it. Just in case anyone else runs into this problem,: In P3D settings, you need to switch the control API from Raw Input to Direct Input
-
Read that too - but I did not bookmark it. I can tell however that shadercache off gave me an extra 300MB of VAS !!

I just bought a Speedlink Airrow joystick ( or flightstick as they like to call it) All works fine except the hat knob, the one you use to pan around in the cockpit P3D (v3.5.5) does not see that button. I tried using fsuipc, but that does not seem to work either Anyone using this joystick and got it to work ?
-
Can someone tell me how to set this up? Does not seem to work for me on v3.3.5 Thanks
-
After pressing 'Y', use F1 to F5
-
+1 Would love to have the xplane right mouse click panning Maybe fsuipc ? But I'm not an expert on that.

If you are going for a new motherboard, make sure the chipset is Z170 or Z270 otherwise you will not be able to OC ! Here is a comparison of the 2 graphic cards (don't look at the prices) http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-1060-vs-GeForce-GTX-770 Personally, i would save up for a 1070
-
You will benefit most with a faster cpu - a 6700k or the new 7700k Both within your budget, BUT they are socket 1151. Your 4670 is socked 1150 so you will need a new motherboard too :(

affinity 14 will only give you 3 out of the 8 cores available - not a good idea !

It is natural human behavior to look in the direction you are going. So, if you make a left turn, you look to the left. I think it would be a nice feature if ChasePlane could imitate this.
-
Actually, I think I got it ! Thanks

I'm confused about the scenery.cfg file I understand the entries have to be in a specific order Can anyone tell me in what order ? What must be on top and what near he end Also, if I look at the scenery.cfg file itself, the order is totally different then when looking at it in p3d or sceneryconfigeditor.

I found out the hard way: changing the cpu assignments during flight causes prepar3d v3 to crash. Not a show stopper, just don't do it during flight

3.3.5 Running on an old i7 2700 @ 4.5GHz, 16 GB ram, GTX 970 - 2 x 1920x1080 screens add ons: FTX globel base FTX vector FTX openLC FTX trees HD Pilot's global 2010 FTX AS16 + ASCA Scenery sliders all the way to the right No trafic ( I fly IVAO online so get some traffic there) Default airports (I like to fly, don't care much about fancy airport scenery) No config tweaks In the 737NGX vc cockpit on the ground I get around 40 fps, outside views around 70 fps. Flying through clouds drops to 25 in / 30 outside VAS left during long flight is min 1000k Give me 1 reason I should upgrade (if it ain't broken, don't fix it)

OC to 7GHz ! Ok, this is not for all of us, but I think that 5 - 5.5 Ghz is realistic and will give a noticeable boost to P3D https://www.techpowerup.com/229007/intel-core-i7-7700k-cracks-7-ghz-bench-stable-overclock
-
1 simple advice: go for the fastest cpu ! You may want to wait a month or 2 for the new i7-7700K With OC it will run at 5GHz easely
-
Merci beaucoup Aimé, this downloaded ok Will install tomorrow
-
Tried to download several times, but at around 40% it says 'user cancelled' and stops ?
-
And there's Aivlasoft Easycam for only 7 eur. Only for the VC, but works perfect and sooo simple
-
If you right click on the prepar3d.exe (or icon on your desktop) there is on option to select with gpu it must use.
-
Are you sure it's running on the gtx 980 and not on the HD 530 integrated graphics? My laptop is a i7 as well but at 2.4GHz and a less powerful gtx935 and I'm getting like 25 - 30 fps

The P3D installer needs space on the C: drive to unpack files - hence the 10GB After installation, some files remain in \programdata and \users\xxx\appdata\roaming\lockheed martin, but no more than approx 40MB
