No you wasn't joking, you were being a smart word not allowed. Probably wanted to show how much of an expert you were 😏 -

Did he say he flew for 15 hrs straight? He could have landed and took a break then started flying again. -
How would Asobo dumb down the waves if you had to add wind to see the waves? Does that make any sense? It's obvious if there's no wind then the seas would be calm right?

What exactly is missing from the flight simulation part of the game? -
So I thought about firing up P3D and/or XP last night...
devgrp replied to RobJC's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Man please. If Ms turned off their servers 5 years from now, I can say I got my monies worth. I don't know why we would fly offline to compare when the online aspect is apart of the base game -

I'm sure if Asobo released a sim with p3d scenery, people would still be complaining -

Top video has no life. I thought it wasn't even playing. Bottom looks more believable. P3d is on its last leg- 188 replies

I'm sure some of these issues are user error. I've been flying the sr22, king air and tbm mostly and I have never had any problems with the ap or heading bug only turning in 10 degree increments. I can fly my route and I can use flc in all 3 planes without issue. Like someone else mentioned, if you have multiple controls you may want to check if any autopilot functions or even the axis are assigned to multiple buttons. I had similar issues because of multiple assignments and not knowing when I got into the alpha. I was ready to call it quits until I deleted all the assignments on the controls I wasn't using

I never turn off ht since I do more than gaming on this pc
-
I'm pretty sure you have a program or something in the command line for the console to be opening up. Never had that problem since the alpha

My cpu is usually at 40-45%

Performance gain 1.8.3.0 by sacrificing LOD radius?
devgrp replied to Tom_L's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
First of all did Asobo said the reduced it? Seems like people just want to complain about anything. My lod is set at 100 and my scenery looks just fine. I could turn it up and lose performance, but why would I? I'm not interested in seeing 10 miles out super clear. I can't do that in real life lol and if you think the tree are not enough turn then up. I don't know what some of you think, that turning up settings too high will kill performance. It's that way with every game, more so with a flight simulator -
I'm running 4k on high with some settings on medium and ultra. 80 render scaling, 2080 super, lod @ 100. No stutters, 50-65fps

I have the same cpu running at 5.1ghz and I don't have any stutters

devgrp replied to Tom_L's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Calling the devs lazy is kinda pushing it don't you think? I'd like to see you build and optimize a game of this caliber. Personally I don't see why people are complaining about lod. Even if you could see clearly for a hundred miles, people would still have something to complain about. In real life you can't see that far out anyway, so if they can limit it to help performance, I'll take it. Unlike some of you guys, km not zooming in miles out trying to read signs or trying see my house -
You guys must really have bad luck. Can't see how you are all having these problems. I see everyone complaining about stuck installers or looping and then I go home fire up the sim and it prompts for an update, I let it do its thing and 30 minutes later it's downloaded and installing. The update process for MSFS and XP is similar. Only difference is in XP you can opt out of the update, but i really don't have to do anything except hit continue or next. And I'm on a wifi connection.

Haven't taken the plunge, my concerns
devgrp replied to sivart2000's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
This post makes no sense. You're scared to jump in because third party devs might eat up the performance? Lol this is not fsx or p3d. We have better visuals with better performance. I'm confident we'll be ok when the complex planes arrive -
Scenery addon loading priority
devgrp replied to FlyIce's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Why would you put both in? It one are the other. I'm guessing whatever is in the community folder override the default stuff -
I think this is the future of addons.
devgrp replied to Nyxx's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Future are not, orbx makes great scenery and detailed cityscape is something I'd definitely buy -
Patch 1.8.3.0 will not install
devgrp replied to Andre92's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
You shot yourself in the foot when you removed core files smh 🤦🏿♂️. Just let it happen on its own. I was at work when the patch was released. When I got home I opened the windows store and the launcher updated. I then started the sim, went past the press any key screen, prompted about an update and just click continue. I didn't even mess with the install path and it downloaded and installed without any problems -
Who said the gauges were the source of stutters and ctd?

Anyone else have a blank MFD on TBM after patch?
devgrp replied to raymar's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
