  1. Still don't see any screenshots here to support your claims.
  2. I read a lot of these claims about "regression" in the visuals of MSFS, but we never see any real evidence for that. Can you provide some screenshots for these changes? I've been flying in MSFS since the Alpha, and I never noticed any dramatic changes overall.
  3. Uh, yes? I mean, complaining about MSFS is the only reason you made your account here. Since your first post on this forum, you've done nothing but complain.
  4. Well, considering that every additional plane and airport in the premium deluxe edition breaks down to exactly 2.50€, I think that's a reasonable price to pay.
  5. I found it interesting, because it's the first area I specifically compared. When checking both Google Maps and Bing Maps (throught the native Windows 10 app) side by side, this is actually one of the areas where Bing Maps has a much higher resolution ground image.
  6. Here's how it looks without Google Maps. Not much of a difference, I'd say.
  7. What bites much more is referring to Jörg Neumann as "Jorge" over and over. Apart from that, it's ok, don't worry. No one is going to judge you for playing videogames in your spare time.
  8. These are the kind of simmer meltdown posts Avsim was created for. 10/10. 👌
  9. Yes, it's here: ttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BVx1ot91WbL10wZIWFcRdEEtAK9lZtGOnSOTjnNABEc/edit#gid=107203350
  10. Try one thing first, and that is setting the terrain offscreen precaching to "ultra". Then, you might want to go through these tips for the Nvidia settings:
  11. Engage the parking brake, this will make the ground power unit spawn in.
  12. You know, when I read things like this, I almost get tempted to sign up with Vatsim just to fly the Pelican there. 😅
  13. Development-wise, World Updates are a completely different thing from bug fixes and sim updates. You can't just take someone who does 3D modelling for a new WU airport and put him on the team that will fix the ATC, it doesn't work like that.
  14. I'll take "hot boomer takes about online gaming" for 500, Alex. 😜
  15. Seriously, guys, even if you're serious simmers (TM) try out the Pelican from HALO. It's really fun to fly and has some impressive animations in the model (engine pods) when maneuvering. This is perfect for just exploring scenery, because it can stop on a dime in hover mode.

  17. Perfect. I'll be using this to pull over entitled PMDG flyers.
  18. At this point I'm almost convinced they're putting out that sci-fi stuff just to troll the Avsim "study-level serious simmer" crowd. 😅
  19. Are you quite sure that PG (Photogrammetry) is? Because what you're showing in your screenshots doesn't have anything to do with Photogrammetry.
  20. Quoting myself here for a small update: I now tried a few longer-haul flights in the Citation Longitude, including transatlantic ones going into heavy photogrammetry areas and handmade/payware airports, and apart from a few stutters when photogrammetry is loading in, my sim has been stable at 40 FPS and stutter-free without any CTDs with some, but not all of @Cpt_Piett 's settings. That is, again, using the 512.95 Nvidia driver for my 3070 @ 1440p. Clouds at Ultra, everything else on High, terrain LOD at 200, using photogrammetry with 8 GB of dynamic cache, live traffic, weather & multiplayer on. I did disable HAGS & Game Mode, and adopted all of the proposed settings in the Nvidia control panel. I didn't use any of the RegEdit settings, and I let the Nvidia control panel handle the frame limit (40 FPS). Maybe worth a try for anyone having stability, stuttering or FPS issues.
  21. This mod doesn't create the "Google version" of photogrammetry. All it does is replace the ground textures that are drawn on top of the terrain mesh. Everything that goes on top of that, all buildings, objects, etc., still come from the sim itself.
  22. Depending on your settings when you start the flight, you may be unable to change time & weather while in the flight. I think this happens when you select live weather/time in addition to "live players" (and not "all players"). This will lock in your time and weather for the duration of the flight.
  23. If it only were that easy... However, there are still some very basic things that are completely unclear to me. One example is the function of the HJet cockpit setup menu for configuring the load of the airplane, and how it relates to the sim-menu for setting up fuel load and weights. When I adjust the fuel load in the cockpit load menu, the fuel load in the sim menu gets updated accordingly. However, when I add passengers in the cockpit load menu by clicking on the seats, the sim menu doesn't add or remove the load of the passengers. So the question here would be: Which of these menus actually adjusts the real weight of the plane for flying in the sim? Do I ignore the sim-menu for weights and only use the cockpit menu? Do I have to make both menus match up? These are the kind of details that would need to be documented and are currently lacking.
  24. That's just a nicer way of saying that not just the stock planes, but also the payware products are now thrown on the market in an unfinished and early beta stage, just like the sim itself was.
