  1. MSFS is a work in progress as every single flightsim from Sublogic days to the various FS MS incarnations to XP etc. have illustrated. It is a complex synthesis of real world data with the creativity of artists, developers and programmers. If anyone was under any other perception than that is unfortunate. But the fact of the matter it is the future of flightsimming. Period. So enjoy your xplane and P3D. Indeed people are still flying the OOM infested 32 bit FSX and earlier incarnations. But for heaven's sake cool it on selling us your wonderful experiences with those versions as most of us had huge payware investments in those sims, realize they are yesterday's investment and are happy to grow with MSFS with patience because make no mistake about it: it is the future of flightsimming.
  2. Since he's the developer he can put in the manual what he wants and you are free not to buy the product so to give him (ironically enough from your perspective) the continued platform to "proselytize" no? So if you don't buy he doesn't have the platform at least from your narrow and limited effect you will have served your noble cause. Now that is funny!
  3. Therefore it is only your time or your place to determine the content of the very product sold by the developer, right? We must be thankful that you are able to delineate what are the boundaries of the man's faith and when he can articulate them. I know enough about you by your diatribe and bigotry (given that I can discern a truncated definition when I see one). No you didn't leave it at that. you then sounded off on the motive of the man and other such niceties. It has every bearing on the point. The vitriol of your reaction just has made my point. And since you have been 'forewarned' by its inclusion numerous times and only seems to serve a repetitive hostility? Tell me, the first time you bought one of his products did you sound off then? Or has the accumulation of his planes just brought you recently to this pathology? You deserved the appellation since your palpable hostility towards the content of his manual was evident for all to see.
  4. Everyone who has bought his products know's this and since we are discussing the OP's reaction it is his reaction which is relevant.
  5. You bought the product knowing full well that was an aspect of all his products and yet you still did so not as a point of principle but to accuse the man of proselytising! If you go into a church because your only purpose was to admire a period architecture by analogy what do you expect? Well I just came to see the architecture you say and dog gone it what a proselytising bunch? Please this has taken a comedic turn as you engage in a now revisionist notion of proselytising. Good luck with that.
  6. You accuse the man of intolerance? What a preposterous assertion. His expression of faith set off an intolerant rant BY YOU. lol. As I stated, self-awareness does not appear to be your strong suit.
  7. Seems like, mate, you conveniently left out an important adjunct to the definition of bigotry. Here I'll underline it for you since you are prepared to misrepresent the nature of the notion:"a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group" Your hostility towards the expression of the man's faith is palpable and it is a poor reflection of your lack of self-awareness of that fact. It's not a "dodgy" practice. Anymore then it is if a Hindu, or Muslim etc. wanted to write about their faith and inspiration in their work or development. Having purchased his products previously you are well aware that the developer wears his faith on his sleeve. And yet you seem to want to exploit his faith by sounding off about your own hostilities concerning someone's faith. And why should he follow your dictates that he should sanitize his message in the fashion you suggest by making it a 'spiritual message' when indeed that is what his message is it's just that it seems to have set off some hatred in you. Shame. Don't buy the product next time or easily skip over the 'proselytising'. Either way the onus is on you to show some tolerance and stop the "antagonistic" nature towards the man's beliefs.
  8. Cool it on the religious bigotry. You don't have to read it but to suggest he is forcing anything on you is absurd.
  9. Hope the passenger integration is not far behind then it's a must buy.
  10. Yeah P3D dispatched over a year ago. Old news.
  11. Just purchased it and very much like it. Very stable and flies well.
  12. The 'site' seems to be slyly holding back on the new all-included version in favour of selling the confusing multiple packs at discounted prices. Come on 'site'! Smarten up!!
  13. What is the suggestion here is to wait until the combo pack comes out shortly. How it is set out presently is unsatisfactory and confusing. Otherwise he would be telling you explicitly not to buy the existing packs. The latter would be kind of unfair to SM since they are hosting the products. Bottom line is wait until the combo pack is released. That's my opinion as I am also interested but won't buy in its present state.
  14. How are the OOMs working out for you in FSX? PMDG wants to get their expensive add-ons into MSFS? They can get in line and exercise patience.
  15. Loving it. Certain areas which had heavier snowfall show up as very covered. Otherwise more lightly and sporadic snow on the ground . Another great development which MSF has brought.
  16. I just open MSFS and leave it on the default main screen for several minutes and it just does a CTD.
  17. No mods after update this was happening to me as well. Yes disengaging AP worked for a time but happened again and again with the necessity of disengaging the AP and re-engaging. Finally the sim crashed.
  18. Crashes to desktop happening the last two attempts. Happens after about 20 minutes or so. Also, control for throttle not working. Using Saitek throttle quadrant. I prep the flight then when ready engage the throttle and nothing occurs. Plug and unplug but nothing. This has been an issue from time to time though and appears unrelated to the current crash bug. I've had no mods since I had to re-install the sim because it simply froze with a screen. Since re-installing I have not installed any mods, however, I have some paid add-ons, scenery (ex CYVR from FSDT, Weather Force, and some other sceneries).
  19. New life has been breathed into flightsimming. This is a great thing.
  20. Steam games. Did you understand the statement? Appears not. I have a library full of constantly updating games on the Steam platform which are done by developers just like Asobo/MS that get broke with patches and have to constantly be re-fixed.
  21. Hysterical ranting. It doesn't enhance your position to make your demands a public affair a month after release and in the same breath denigrate the product. I'd ignore the plaintive pleas for that alone
  22. Yeah my problem is related to the left engine post update. I have no failures on. Started cold and dark without a problem. As it was before the update. When I taxied on the runway and when I engaged autothrottle the left engine shut down and would not spool up again no matter what. Had to quit. I have no mods except one of the new liveries Delta.
