  1. Many of us have been bit by that one. Verifying file integrity is one of the first recommended things on Steam. Unfortunately, it's a no-no with MSFS.
  2. Are you using the PMS50 530/430 mod? If so, have you got the latest version 1.0.49 that was released during the latest beta? It's needed after the SU9.
  3. Verifying file integrity will do that too you every time. Never verify files on steam with MSFS unless you want to do a complete reinstall.
  4. I had that happen half way through a 3.5 hr. flight earlier today. Went ahead and closed Spad, FS Flight Control, TrackIR and AIG-TC on my way to closing task manager quitting MSFS. Never did as I was busy chatting with someone so just left MSFS froze. About 20mins later it started going again. Had to grab the stick and stop a dive, relaunch all those programs and ask ATC to retry with last IFR flightplan, but was able to finish my flight (another 2hrs). I don't know what happened but MSFS was completely froze and unresponsive when it did until it finally started going again 20 mins later. I just hope it's not going to be a thing from now on.
  5. (not fast enough to catch a screen of the gear retracting)
  6. I think it's not so much controlling it as it is just turning off MSFS AI altogether and then injecting the traffic positions from it's flight data. It's not really a AI system, more of a put this where this data says it's at type of thing. It doesn't really use MSFS AI or positioning at all, so you may see traffic taxiing through grass, buildings, etc. if the real data doesn't line up with the MSFS data. It's also a $10 monthly subscription. You can read more about how it works at https://rtweb.flyrealtraffic.com/
  7. Amazon has the EVGA 3080 12gb with 1800 boost clock for $999 currently available with free shipping. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-12G-P5-4877-KL-Technology-Backplate/dp/B09Q3DH7V3/ref=sr_1_1?crid=V33O6IEUAY9L&keywords=evga+12gb+3080&sprefix=evga+12gb+3080%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-1 This is a beast of a card performance wise only slightly less than a ti for a very good price.
  8. Just a note that after the update (and every update) you have to do this again.
  9. If you're worried about the GPU not being fully used without upgrading the CPU, you could always bump up the render scaling to push the GPU harder.
  10. I'll second this. He has some excellent tutorials.
  11. Congrats Ryan. I always found the tubeliners a little overwhelming and stuck to GA and Regional Turboprops, etc. After all, I'm simming for enjoyment and at my age those tubeliners are just a little much. I'm glad that you're getting the hang of them and enjoyment out of them. It means we can look forward to many more shots of them from you.
  12. I can't speak to Axis and Ohs. Spad has a few versions. For the Stream Deck support, you would need the Complete Edition which is rather expensive. The MSFS/FSX/P3D Edition alone won't do it. https://www.spadnext.com/buy/get-spad-next.html
  13. I think any true wired xbox one controller (or 360 for that matter) will work. A wireless one doesn't even though you can wire it.
  14. Those first liveries (aviator) were most welcome. After the newness of them wore off, most people deleted them. But the reason they were most welcome was they showed everyone how to make liveries for the MSFS encrypted planes.
  15. Exactly. If you use something that you can already bind simvars, etc., then adding this is simple. If you don't, then this mod is a godsend for controlling something we've been asking for since the sim first came out.
  16. That was my worry too as they both place towers. I guess whichever one loads last takes precedence.
  17. That worked. Bound a button on my controller to FLY ASSISTANT RIBBONS ACTIVE as ToggleBit and it works great. Press button and it toggles on. Press again and it toggles off. Assigned both short press and long press this way.
  18. Hmm, instead of having yet another program that I have to launch with the sim, I might just see if I can bind a controller button for that simvar with Spad which I already launch with the sim.
  19. Just finished a long flight. Off to get it and install it now. One question though, do I only run this once and then it works with MSFS from then on, or is it something you have to launch everytime you do MSFS?
  20. That's one of the things that has always bugged me, not seeing the traffic. Had one cross my path within 2 miles earlier and ATC requested to report traffic in sight. While I saw it on the map I never saw the actual aircraft even after looking real hard for it (even from drone view).
  21. I ran across this today about 100 miles offshore heading from KTBR to MYGF, a cluster of small GA flights offshore. Weird indeed.
  22. Waldo, when the AIG beta first came out there was a Sound file (AITRSP_v1.8 I think) download that was one of the manual downloads. Skipping that meant no sounds with AIG traffic. I don't know if that file is still a manual download or not.
  23. I had not seen that before you mentioned it. How well does it work? Looking through the comments, it look like he did exactly that, assigning a key to a simvar.
