  1. Same...I get some menu flash briefly at me in VR. . I'd prefer the logbook popup than this current implementation
  2. Didn't noticed nothing like that where I was flying in Australia last night
  3. Lets hope so...time to give the southern hemisphere some love.
  4. exiting and then trying to enter VR causes sim to crash
  5. Was working at YSSY, now clear skys. Its definitely overcast here in real life
  6. Hey guys, I've been working on a massive update to this for the last 3 months that involves an in-game panel. Looking for a couple of testers who might be interested in testing it out for me. If your interested, send me a PM and Ill get in touch.
  7. I was flying online with a buddy and I couldn't see him either on the traffic display.
  8. Not everyone lands at a large airport with ATIS. Pretty standard for my local airport is to overfly the airport 500ft above pattern altitude and look at the windsock. Very hard to do that in MSFS.
  9. This is not what to do https://youtu.be/1xjJuWkSUGA
  10. Thats pretty much what I have except for 32Gb ram...my system runs very nicely with a HP G2
  11. There is an acknowledge bug but another part of the problem is where you are looking over the nose. I had the same issue in real life training. This video sums it up really well: https://youtu.be/SEjNi1vPbuA In MSFS I can keep it pretty straight even with a strong crosswind even.
  12. Known bug but apparently hard to fix.
  13. Is your gpu at 100%? If so,I'd expect more than 2% I provement from a 3080 to a 3090. I have a G2 with my 3080 and with my settings I'm GPU limited.
  14. What monitor or VR headset are you taking on? Sounds like your cpu bound therefore the 3090 isnt going to show much differenece until the performance improvements come out with Sim update 5.
  15. I'm no expert but the aircraft should yaw the moment you lift off in a crosswind. Flying a Jabiru in real life the technique was to release any rudder correction except for a little right rudder and let the plane yaw into the wind. It was quite noticeable. As for landing I have no problem keeping the aircraft landing and rolling straight down the runway. Maybe it's because I mainly fly modded aircraft and VR and it's easier to get a perception of where the nose is pointing in relation to the end of the runway. I recall in my real life training having lots of problems with the plane getting off to the left upon touchdown in crosswinds...I had to train my brain to look straight ahead rather than to the centre of the propellor to get the plane tracking straight. Not to say that there aren't some issues but overall I think it's really good.
  16. I use my own web app that i wrote to teach myself programming ( https://www.flightsimdiscovery.com/) to work out where Im going to fly my next leg. I always try and connect the previous leg with the next. I also use Volanta to record my flights and I upload them to my website to show the exact route.
  17. I'm actually pretty excited for a fast mover in MSFS. Love the supercarrier and hornet in DCS...hopefully this will be visually as good.
  18. My go-to airplanes depending on the size of leg is the VL-3 925 mod, Cessna caravan, xcub and TBM for some long legs
  19. Well, not quite, but that is the plan! I've been having a blast flying around the recent world updates of the UK and France! I've started to record and keep track of my flights so that I have a visual record of everywhere I've explored, as you can see in the attached image. Hopefully one day I will have covered the entire globe! Favorite places I've been to so far would Réunion near Madagascar, and the Vancouver region in Canada. What about you guys?
