@henry What are you afraid of to not upgrade to Win 10? :-)

Even with 128 GB RAM you can easily get an OOM in v3 :-) It is not about physical memory. VAS is about how much memory you can address with 32/64 bit.

V4 works for me without problem. But like @willy647 says: Stay away from non-v4 addons. Otherwise everything works fine for me with all kinds of addons installed. With v3 I would have gotten an OOM instantly after loading up :-D

So this was in the PMDG 777, with Drzew... NY Airports, going low over Manhattan in very cloudy weather with rain, ORBX Vector, NA, etc: Edit: Fail you cannot see P3D.exe on the left, it was at about 12 GB.

I use the Warthog without FSUIPC. Mapped everything that I need for the PMDG planes in the controls view of P3D. I managed to map everything I need. Like autopilot off, autothrust off, reverse, a button for vpilot / mute fs2crew, etc etc. i think I have still 15 buttons left :-) what a nice piece of hardware. I am interested. What functions did you map to the Warthog with FSUIPC that you were not able to with the standard config view?

If you can wait I can have a flight today (in about 4 or 5 hours) over NY with the Drezei***** (no clue how you spell them) NY airports, in a PMDG plane, with FTX Global, NA, Vector, AS16 etc. But maybe someone is faster than me :-)

I clicked randomly into the video and cannot see anything unusual?!

I use P3D since v2 now. V4 is the first time that since weeks I fire up the sim, load my flightplan and go flying. No fiddling around with settings or bugs or sufferings from CTDs... I love V4. It lets me do what I want: Fly and not think about all other stuff around it.

@honanhal Did you have a look at the PTA setting for Haze mentioned above? You can change the value and have a look what it does for you. I also changed this value and I am very happy with the result.

I had Aerosoft EDDH, and I liked it. But it wasn't available for v4 so I bought the Justsim version. And I'm not disappointed! I like the airport, the performance, the looks. Everything good. Compared to aerosoft - I feel it is a little bit different, but both are good quality. I like the textures and lighting more in the Justsim version - but I guess this depends on personal taste. Also I bought Juststim EDDL, but didn't have any other EDDL before. It also works great for me but I cannot compare it to the Aerosoft version.

What?! texture size exp is the single best thing in v4. Sharp ground textures to the horizon.

I think ORBX or UTX gives the overall best start in my eyes. Together with AS16 + ASCA, ENVTEX and PTA. Then a good plane - depends on what you like flying - and you should be ready to start. And may I suggest ORBX Innsbruck? I'm my eyes the best payware airport.

Right. Every sim out there has its pros and cons. And DCS or FSW are definitely not perfect. Especially for tubeliner people :-)

Sure, I understand your problems :-) It just didn't come to me with the first post here. And I can also understand GA pilots, for sure. I am not flying to standard airports because I always fall out of the sky because I'm laughing so hard at the standard scenery :-) So I did not take into account that some people acutally really use them :-)

Deactivate your antivirus software and try it again. Helped me when the menu was gone.

You just say "it's better". not what you exactly like better, no screenshots, no nothing. But hey: Use whatever you want but stating this in EVERY Envtex thread... well, that's kinda pointless?!

In my eyes the standard airports are word not allowed and I never fly to them. So I never had these issues. But fsAerodata and add on airports are perfect for me.

And still no screenshots that make me think that REX is any better :-)
