I've noticed the tile loading is getting worse and worse, areas that were never affected are now and it's ruining the immersion greatly.

Have you changed the 'false' values to 'true' in the ini file? -

New version of Rex Accuseason
MarcG replied to MrBitstFlyer's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
After reading some of the issues I held off installing this, but bit the bullet the other day and here's what I did; - Loaded the original Accuseasons through the ORBX store - It said there was an Update to the program - Manually downloaded and installed - Put in the Serial numbers and stuff - Ran the program and it's working just fine so far Only issue is it's not listed on the ORBX store as being owned, only the Original Accuseasons has the Tick next to it 🤔 -

Asobo — Please fix these weather bugs before MSFS2024
MarcG replied to Redge's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
The clouds can be better because they were better (pre SU5 & 7), that's the disappointing thing for me, I care not for any other Flight Sim so when this one suffers regressions it's a step backwards that could've been avoided and that's exactly what happened with this Sim. -

I wasn't originally gonna bother editing the main file but curiosity got the better of me! Pictures taken in VR over the Lake Of Geneva with preset weather, not exactly the same position in the sky but close enough to get a decent idea. Certainly looks more realistic from first impressions, need to have a proper flight with them to notice though, thanks again to Biology, lets hope Asobo do eventually add these as default in SU14. Edited/New values on the Left and Original on the Right of each image. -
Consensus on Solar Farms, Powerlines, & We Love VFR
MarcG replied to V1ROTA7E's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I use them all in VR, think the Powerlines and/or Solar Farms did suffer from performance issues but I've used them for so long I don't notice any more, either way all superb mods and highly recommended. -
Nearly two years of DX12 being in "beta", any indication it will become standard alongside DX11 any time soon? before MSFS2024 even?

FSLTL 1.6 released with separation
MarcG replied to Langeveldt's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
That's the thing, there's nothing to "learn", it's just like any other software program you give it a few minutes and you're away, I really can't understand the hatred it gets 😄 Anyway sorry for offtopic, carry on -
Update appears to be processing
MarcG replied to fppilot's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
OK against my better judgment I went ahead with the SU13 Update & Content Updates, no issues whatsoever, pretty quick download and no dramas so one of the lucky ones. (I have uninstalled Rex Accuseason and will await their update to the ORBX store next week) -
FSLTL 1.6 released with separation
MarcG replied to Langeveldt's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
It's not to everyones liking which is totally fair enough, what I don't get is when people say it's "difficult" to use - which it isn't, it's a very very good real time texting software which has bundles of features. I've said it before many times now, people round here can fly complex aircraft with multiple systems, give them a simple chat platform and they're totally lost 🤷♂️ -

With this and the Rex clusterparp I think I'll be giving the Sim a wide berth for a little while longer, rather miss out than have to deal with this potential hell which takes away time from actual flying. -
When will MSFS 2024 release?
MarcG replied to captain420's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
If you're old enough to remember the Duke NukemForever fiasco then you'll know never to trust any release dates for anything ever! It'll be released one day (probably), that's all you need to know. -

Anyone flying in VR done the hex values change? Wondering what it looks like for those of us with screens on our face 🙂 thanks -
TechRaptor interview of Jorg Neumann re the future of MSFS
MarcG replied to jrw4's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
That's including all the partners, Asobo staff are around 175 according to Jorg recently. Still a huge number of course overall, hopefully the end result will be a vast improvement. -
Yes fair point there's good stuff for Devs, in looking at this from purely a users perspective and that's my point, there's years old bugs still not fixed yet they've fixed bugs in this update with barely any votes on the official forum. Their bug fixing priorities seem to be very hap hazard, like they throw a dart and that decides what they fix.

Wouldn't know, MSFS is my first proper flight Sim in decades. It's all well and great getting free updates, but not when they break so much over the years without much attempt to fix what they broke. The facts are there for all to see, I refuse to be 100% positive every single post just to tow the line according you lot when blatant errors have been made by the developer. I'm positive when I like to be, in this case in my opinion this Sim Update is weak overall, if you don't agree with that that's fine, that's your opinion and I respect that 🙂

MarcG replied to Biology's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
The difference is staggering and in a very good way, I hope Asobo integrate this into the current Sim let alone the next one. I'll steer clear of the exe hack but thank you, great to see it works 🙂
