  1. Except for the VR sections, they're clearly ignoring those.
  2. It's a sort of known issue amongst some users that when the servers get hammered the clouds are graphically worse, I've noticed it a few times. From what I saw last night it's predominantly the same Cumulonimbus fluffy clouds, like it's been since SU7, so no change there.
  3. Unfortunately this issue is yet another prime example of extremely poor communication during the beta periods, they made a change to something (Fixed some water polygon issues as per patch notes) which in essence has either not worked or broken something else here. Just like the VR bug, which was also reported very early on, they had weeks to sort these issues out but choose for whatever reason to not fix them, Why? If it was a change for the good, why not communicate the reason to the modders/community? If it's a bug, why not fix it during beta which is one point of having a Beta in the first place? They really do let themselves down after working so hard in other areas, again it all boils down to a severe lack of Quality Control which over two years on they still have not got a clue about.
  4. Yep their rules about not tagging mods is pathetic, nice post regardless.
  5. Where is the setting for on the fly? as I have to go back into the Menus, I can't see it when in the plane 🤔 thanks
  6. Well they've fixed one graphical VR bug in SU12 that was reported once SU5 was released (nearly two years ago), it took them 5-6 weeks to half-fix the SU7 fiasco with VR toolbar bugs (some of which still exist today) so I don't hold much hope of them fixing this new toolbar issue any time soon. This bug could well of been fixed during Beta, VR app devs are already adjusting and managing to workaround this issue already (thankfully), the above from Jayne is merely keeping the peace that some of us can read straight through 😄 Yes SU12 is chock full of goodies & other important bug fixes which is great and I'm thankful for those, but yet again they let themselves down especially with another kick in the balls to VR users. They've had a bad reputation for poor Quality Control since day one....it continues today.
  7. Hooray the regression bug for VR users with the toolbar has been ignored, what a word not allowed suprise, have they got ANY ONE capable of quality control in France? If so please apply for a job at Asobo because they need you!
  8. Depends where you look, I'm at work so can't log in right now to show you. I see the bubbles a lot (but certainly not all) of the time, personally I simply preferred live weather pre METAR integration but can understand why it was requested by users. I just wish Asobo took the time to implement it properly before rushing release and inserting catch up ever since, I live features to be near complete when released.
  9. You can certainly use it to start up other programs, how you'd get it to go to a direct website though is beyond my knowledge, hope someone can help you 🙂
  10. Yeah think you've missed the point about METAR bubbles, they're not transitions, they're direct issues with the rushed integration of METAR in SU7 that is still yet to be fully implemented/finished/fixed. Unfortunately it's a prime example of whereby a voting system doesn't work very well; votes were harvested, Asobo rushed the implementation to meet demand, which clearly needed more time to be worked on and we've had a half-baked "feature" ever since. Go through the mountainous threads on the official forum since SU7, tons of examples to be seen there 🙂
  11. I'm yet to do the research but the threads are easily obtainable, I'll let you post on the official forum as I don't post there, besides as I said elsewhere the only way to get the point across is a direct email to Jorg as clearly other means are not working.
  12. That sounds good but is the 10 minutes configurable? Personally I'd like it to turn off much quicker than that, otherwise I can see myself manually closing it down which semi defeats it's purpose. Thanks
  13. I'm getting my keyboard ready, the utter fiasco of SU7 VR toolbar issues needs not be repeated....!
  14. The introduction of METAR has caused these METAR "bubbles" which look horrendous, still in the Sim from SU7 to now (let's see if they fixed it in SU12 today), plus it was widely regarded that general live weather was better before that METAR addition. As I said they've gradually got it going back to what it was like pre-SU7, but those bubbles are still very evident and incredibly immersion breaking.
  15. Live weather is all I use, pretty much spot on most of the time but they faffed around with METAR integration in SU7 and it went backwards. Slowly getting back to what it was like pre that update, I'm currently over Madagascar and the clouds/wind match that of windy.com very well.
  16. Clear enough if you presume he meant clear skies 😉 Either way I just had a quick look, I see no noticeable difference between presets & live on the monitor (I fly VR), in fact I was pleasantly surprised to see the FPS was roughly the same for all presets but could well differ in VR (I only ever use Live anyway but was curious about this post)
  17. We can only assume when his first post is so very vague! Requires more details.
  18. When you say "go up" what are you comparing too? Live Weather? Are you changing from live to presets and noticing the FPS go up?
  19. Yes same for me, I'm not on beta but friends/vr users i know who are are not happy and they see voting on issues as a waste of time (I agree with them on that, but that's another topic), I fear no amount of reports on the official forum or Zendesk tickets will be enough, they never seen to get the "point" about regression bugs not being fixed. I fear a dreaded direct email "open letter to Jorg" (I hate that term!) is the last hope of actually making enough noise about these near constant VR issues. But let's wait and see what happens when SU12 goes final, they may surprise us #Pray
  20. If they fail to fix the new to SU12 Beta Regression VR toolbar bug before public release I'm going to go apoplectic, the utter fiasco with SU7 toolbar issues in VR should've been a massive kick up the backside and yet ...here we are, another potentially crippling toolbar issue reported immediately and the response thus far is; This item has been reproduced and turned into an official bug report internally. This topic is now updated with the #bug-logged tag. From here, Asobo prioritizes the bug, works on a fix, and slates it for a future update. ...the final sentence concerns me greatly...it needs to be fixed now, not in X months time... https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/3rd-party-application-toolbars-scaling-broken/
  21. It's never been needed just advised as it helps troubleshooting on the Devs side of things, so they can immediately rule out 3rd party mod issues interfering in the update process.
  22. It would be yes, but they've done it before with relation to toolbar issues of which some from SU7 still exist today, hence my belief this one will get ignored for a future update if ever.
  23. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/3rd-party-application-toolbars-scaling-broken/577877 Seems to be a regression bug in the beta, time running out to fix it and I'd be amazed if it's fixed before public release.
  24. Already disabled on my Win11 install and I never intentionally did that so it must've always been like it.
  25. I can't even begin to imagine the legalities around charging for something like this, hope the author has a good lawyer!
