  1. The FSW is a wonderful addon - it's one of my favorites. It doesn't have the systems depth that these dukes have though. Still the 414 has superb sounds and cockpit "character."
  2. Yeah it would be cool to get an aftermarket G5 in there (WT G5 wen lol?) or Aspen or something. I'm not sure if I've ever seen an older EADI in the dukes. I've seen full glass though hehe.
  3. Oh we have those. At least when I make a livery (via community upload) I make a realistic registration and a dynamic version - I prefer the actual registration and font/look when I'm flying That being said, black square has the best looking dynamic registration system of any addon.
  4. And we made a lot of paints....a LOT 😂 And most of them are dynamic reg compatible so you can place a French or Canadian or German or British or whatever reg you want on them.
  5. I'm biased because I've had access to the aircraft (making liveries for it and some beta testing - but I wasn't an official tester). I've seen a few comments about the price. For the bundle then I think it comes out to around 65 or 70 USD with conversion. Basically around 32-35 for the piston (which actually has two variants with different flight models) and 32-35 for the turbine. Some of the instruments and avioncs are the same but that's where the similarities end. The sounds are unique, the flight models are vastly different, the exteriors are different etc. A high end multi engine addon for 35 USD? That's more than reasonable. Probably should have been 49.99 for each. I think I bought the Carenado Mooney for 34.99 when it was originally released hehe. The fidelity between that and the Dukes is wildly different. I own too many addons hehe. I adore general aviation. Without a doubt this is the most advanced GA aircraft I've flown.
  6. I thought you were asking for a more complete video... I would recommend the ones direct from the Black Square dev - they answer your questions. I think there's 9 videos pertaining to the Dukes https://www.youtube.com/@justflight/videos
  7. Have you watched the preview videos from Just Flight? I loved the RA. It was one of my most flown addons in any sim, ever. But this is a night and day difference of increased realism and systems depth compared to the RA dukes.
  8. I completely agree - but my post was about people wanting to remove metar. That's ridiculous.
  9. Ooooooooofda!! Red, black, and silver paint.... you had me at Realair hehe
  10. That's because we have to solicit pireps every hour when the weather is below a certain criteria. At least here in the midwest, the pireps for bases and vis were very accurate to the atis. Wind check just comes from the direct read in the tower, which comes from the asos/awos.
  11. Even on your monster of a system? I think it looks awesome but most of my flying is sub 200 kias and in those PG areas likely below 6000 ft or so.
  12. I know a lot of people like the videos from the streamers but I love quality 4k screenshot. or two... cokpitwideGNS_visors.PNG.PNG by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr (KLN from the freeware 'Falcon' KLN90B - which is mighty impressive - uses the WT framework) 3CAcockitKLN.PNG by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr
  13. To me its really confusing why people have such disdain for METAR. METAR is everything in real aviation. Some company policies prohibit airliners to land or takeoff without reception of the METAR (atis/asos/awos). So much is planned around metar and taf too. It's an accurate depiction of the weather at the airport. Occasionally it's out of date, but not if the station provides a SPECI which transmits weather every 5 minutes. Nothing is more accurate. And people don't want that in the sim.... Quite frankly I believe the reason is many aren't pilots - and that's fine. I understand the draw of weather systems as you fly across a country etc - it can be really cool. The weather systems in MSFS tend to be several hours behind too. But to delete metar functionality is to go further away from a more realistic simulator.
  14. I'm a little OT but I also leave PG on. Yeah if you're far away the cities are kinda melted but up close, especially like low level in GA, the views are worth it. It's real. I love it.
