July 10, 200718 yr I hope that information is wrong...but have we seen any post by the developer in the past 3 months or so, both in AXP and his own forums? From what I heard last week he has "disappeared" from MSN as well, which he had always used to keep in touch with friends and testers. After all most of us can only speculate. I hope he'll settle things on good terms soon and come back to the project. JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
July 11, 200718 yr I certainly hope this is not the case. I know who you are talking about too, as I have seen nothing in his forums either. Man, what a horrible feeling I just got. I don't know what to think. His talent is far beyond anything I have seen. However, being a long time customer of Dreamfleet, and seeing how Lou handles his business, He is always upfront and honest, and like I said earlier, if it was that bad, I don't think he would hide something like this just to protect future potential sales. The only thing we can do is try to be patient, and give them the chance to bring this promising product to market. It would be crushing if things came this far only to come to a screaching halt.
July 11, 200718 yr Whats all the huffin and puffin, its a airbus..hahaha who cares!Go Boeing!and now folks, the Boeing 787, and on time!oh airbus 380 where are you??hehe

I hope Boeing can get it done on time, but they still have a ton of work to do before it can even fly.
July 11, 200718 yr >Portland was only a year late, I'm sure this airbus will be>to. I just hope it comes out before FS11. Actually, coming out when FS11 does will be just about right: it will take us another 2 years before we have the hardware to run FS11, so you will indeed be able to run their A320 then, as well as the default cessna runs on your machine now.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. July 11, 200718 yr I posted that I thought the AXP was headed for a 2008 release many months ago, and the vaporware a really excited user association jumped all over that as some sort of unjustified meanness. You heard it from me first. 2008. Maybe late 2008.Setting expectations like they did, and then expecting people to accept a 6-12 month delay due to a one month illness, or an endless string of delays owing to the personal woes of one member of the developer team, it's all great B-reel theatre. I would suggest that his product has never been anywhere close to the pipe-dreamish timeline suggested by its marketers, and a bunch of fine-print caveating doesn't negate the reality that they threw up a smokescreen of misinformation hoping to deflect folks away from FeelThere's A320 release.Funny now, in retrospect, because FeelThere and Wilco detracted more from their own product release than AXP's marketing buffoonery ever could have.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
July 11, 200718 yr True, and even without such statements, plain old common sense says there's a little thing called 'life'. People get sick, personal crises, heck, just up and quit etc etc etc.My thing is, and has always been - a dev who shows previews does not have my money, only expectations of a nice addition to my hobby. I've seen people all bitter and DEEPLY disappointed over late releases, or no releases for which they've paid nothing - why I will never fathom.I take it as it unfolds - as it stands I'm still sanguine re the A320regards,Markhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/a320/custbanner2.jpgPC Power Silencer 470/3.2HT/2048mb/ATI X1950pro/SB Audigy Regards, Mark

I can't see what all the fuss is about. If they release a great product for FS9, I'll buy it. If they don't, I won't have spent a penny and won't have lost anything - so where's the problem? Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

On the contrary, the only thing they're up-front about is that the company in question doesn't have to be "up-front" at all, since nothing they say can be considered accurate, complete, fit for consumption, blah blah blah. Not that such disclaimers are uncommon, but it serves to remind me what a ludicrously unbalanced system of responsibility we have today. In essence, the above disclaimer excuses any information given by the company as being the "stuff of a day" and that nothing it says can stick in the court of public opinion. It's a simple escape clause which basically states the company can say anything it wants without repercussion.Amazingly, the second part of that paragraph (again, not uncommon in our world today) basically says that a company can choose to MARKET a "complete", "world-class" simulated aircraft with tons of bells and whistles, but then release an unfinished product (maybe only its exterior!), take the money for it, and fall back on its exemption from warrantying the product's "fitness" or "merchantability".As an individual, I wish I had such rights. Upon arrest and reading of my rights by a peace officer ("..anything you say can and will be held against you..."), I'd love to be able to say: "Well, no, officer. Should I choose it to be so, anything I say today to you or to anyone else has absolutely no validity. I can change my statements at any time and you can't use them against me. Furthermore, I am at no pains to correct myself or change my statements and cannot be admonished if I do so because, in essence, I am not personally responsible for anything I say or do!"I'd settle for that personal exemption, wouldn't you? Maybe it could apply to anything said to your wife or kids, too. Nice! :-roll

July 11, 200718 yr Author >I'd settle for that personal exemption, wouldn't you? Maybe it>could apply to anything said to your wife or kids, too. Nice!Well put. And, no biggy if they do not ever release the A320. Would be nice to have another developer on the playing field (along with LDS and PMDG) since that would enhance our hobby by increasing selection and innovation. For me personally it might even be 2009 before I make an XP A320 purchase. Over the years I have developed my own software purchasing philosophy:1)Do not buy software and become a company Cheers, Scott Ball
