August 16, 200718 yr I thought the iFly 747 was awesome. I still don't know most of the stuff it has (FMC, overhead panel stuff etc) and I loved being overwhelmed by its details and that manual (need several weekends probably to go through it .. no way I'm going to print out all that on my lowly inkjet). From the posts here, it seems the RFP is going to be even more awesome. I can't wait. BTW - there are a bunch of files on thie panelshop site named Aircraft pack one ... thru nine. Do I need these too?
August 16, 200718 yr Those are different liveries, go here to see what liveries are in which packs:http://41686.rapidforum.com/topic=100471307862I've been flying the RFP for a very long time and I guess I will never get tired of it. If you like heavies and especially the older style with steam gauges, then you will absolutely love the RFP B742. What a gift indeed! :)Here's hoping that one day we see v3 of this magnificent aircraft.Regards,Jure
August 16, 200718 yr Thanks to Ralph Tofflemire and the other developers for this fine piece of software :) Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
August 16, 200718 yr FYI, File is available in the AVSim Library.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/fdc_beta.jpg
August 16, 200718 yr The AVSIM library ZIP DIVE for RFP2 says you need FSUIPC. Is this the purchased or free version of FSUIPC ? Would the free version of FSUIPC from other planes I've purchased on CD, such as DF Baron,PMDG 747, ATR72 etc be sufficient? (have never felt any need for the full version.)Alex Reid
August 16, 200718 yr The payware version of RFP came with a limited license for FSUIPC; my guess is that that is still part of the package, but I do not know for certain. My suggestion would be to download and install it and see what happens.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/fdc_beta.jpg
August 17, 200718 yr Does anyone know where to find the manuals? It says in the download that "Due to the size of the manuals and the tutorial, they are not included with this download. Check our web site at www.panelshop.com and under the Resources tab you will locate the required documentation." but there isn't any such link at that webpage (or am I just blind?)Edited: Aha, now I managed to get into the panelshop download site and there the manuals are! :) Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
August 18, 200718 yr If it is in the Avsim Library, I can't find it. I have tried every combination of letters and words from spelling out Ready for Pushback, RFP and RFP2. All I get is the nothing found in library notice.Any suggestions? Thanks, ScottNever mind I see it at the Panel Shop Site. DUH...
August 18, 200718 yr I think this is one of the fineest contributions to Flight Sim Period Payware or Freeware, and to have it as a gift is outstanding. Therefore please realize this is not a complaint, just a few questions seeking information. The Appendice says: "When you installed the Vmax Classic 747, an icon for the Passenger and Cargo loader was placed on your desktop."The only two Icons that were placed on my desktop were: "RFP Update" and "Where are the RFP Manuals". Both of these links are to documents only with links to the RFP downloads at the Panelshop site (All of which I have downloaded and looked at).I have tried reinstalling. Same results.I have also looked in the "RVP_V2" folder found under the FS9 Root directory. I have downloaded and looked in all of the RFP website links from panelshop.com. I have also looked in my "Aircraft" folder. Even an XPPro search has not turned up the utility. The same is true for the Takeoff Calculator as referenced in the tutorial. Where is it, or how do I get it?The only two items that I have not addressed are two patches which were included on the RFP download link, however instructions for the V2 download state that all patches are included in that installation and my interpretation is that these patches are already installed.Could be mistaken, but I believe a missing fuel planner utility may also be in question as absent.Anyone know where I am overlooking these utilities, or how I get them? Thanks:RTH

August 18, 200718 yr I wonder if PMDG will follow suit with a similar gesture? ;) Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
