July 12, 200916 yr Commercial Member Hi,I noticed from the screenshots being posted that the flight computer screen is black. Is this part of the nav system modelled, or is it a beta thing that it appears to be INOP currently?Best regards,Robin.
July 12, 200916 yr It is in the model, just happened to be turned off.Is this referring to a GPS or a proper FMC?Gerry
July 12, 200916 yr It's the Honeywell GNS-X Flight Management System (FMS), and you'll be hearing more about it as things progress. :( Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200

July 14, 200916 yr Vin, I have a quick question on your PC specs...I couldn't find it anywhere else... was wondering what your PC specs are... as a guide...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
July 15, 200916 yr Commercial Member I can answer since I helped him build it... :( If I recall correctly it's an Asus P6T series mobo, Core i7 920 CPU, 6GB G.Skill DDR3, GeForce GTX285 1GB. RSR's system is very similar but he has the Core i7 Extreme 965. I'm still on my lowly Q6660, gonna try to upgrade myself here in October when the Win7 release happens and the new DX11 cards come out. I was hoping to wait until then but the i7's look nice. I hope the Gen1 DX11 cards are bug-free.... Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
July 16, 200916 yr With the help of suggestions from Ryan and my IT guy, I built a Q9650-based system on an ASUS mobo from newegg at about the time the i7 was introduced for a very good price. I have always purchased OEM boxes before but this time I decided to give homebuilt a look and once I found that I could build something better than a FalconNorthwest or an Alienware for one third the price there was no going back. That is just too much of a savings to ignore. Dan Downs KCRP

As a first time builder, it took me about 4 hours from box to boot up. If you can swap graphic cards or add memory, then you can build your own PC.
