September 6, 200916 yr You're going to find, this isn't like flying a heavy jet. You actually have to FLY this airplane. There's no put it on A/P and kick back and watch the game for a couple of hours. But, it sure is fun!

But there a few props out there, atr-72, majestic dash 8, I just am disappointed we have such an out there out of date design that was never really popular, and its price tag is almost at 747X levels. How about redoing the express lineup for fsx?

September 7, 200916 yr I guess I was thinking about when the queen was first released, without the freighter expansion. I think it was $55.
September 7, 200916 yr $44.95 is a bargain for this aircraft. I've had hours of great entertainment from it already, learning all the systems, becoming familiar with the flows, hand-flying, and dealing with icing. Very, very solid value for money from PMDG. Very, very solid value for money from PMDG.I Agree. I have been increasingly impressed (as I destroy engines....two so far) with the detail and the huge amount of work that must have gone into this product. This is one heck of a value. Thank you PMDG for offering it for such a reasonalble price. "A good landing is one you can walk away from. An excellent landing is one you can taxi away from." September 9, 200916 yr There are just so many much needed airplanes that could have been done, and ones that are more popular and still flying. How about update their express 1900c/d line and make it a quality addon for fsx?Thier President Robert Randazzo flew as captain on these planes for a number of years - so he has access to manuals, data etc. That is huge in their decision making on what planes to make. It is also nice addition for short flights which is all I have time for. It is a sophisticated airplane that requires real flying - not just push the AP button at 400 ft AGL. It is great, great fun to fly. No plane in my stable is more complete in terms of graphics/systems/mannual/proceedures. I don't have the Queen or the MD11 - don't like long haul flights. The VC is amazing, the most beautiful panel artwork in fs today.I echo the sentiments that if you don't like it, don't buy it.Also, a completely separate team is building the 737 -so this plane did not delay the NGX from this great design house. Edit: I have the ATR which is a nice plane but the VC is no where near as well-modelled in FSX - gaps around some instruments show the ground flowing underneath you. Can't even compare the planes in terms of quality.Colin
September 9, 200916 yr Commercial Member I kind of like it when a developer expands my appreciation of aircraft. The SF260 was unknown to me

September 9, 200916 yr So, guys... at what point do you guys generally destroy the engines? I have just started both of them up on my first run through tutorial, and I feel very satisfied about it (the sounds are great!). Is it at this point that people destroy the engines, or is it at a later moment? Can't wait to see how a destroyed engine looks on this plane :-P Benjamin van Soldt Windows 10 64bit - i5-8600k @ 4.7GHz - ASRock Fatality K6 Z370 - EVGA GTX1070 SC 8GB VRAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz - Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe 500GB - 2x Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (P3Dv4/5 drive) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM - Seasonic FocusPlus Gold 750W - Noctua DH-15S - Fractal Design Focus G (White) Case
September 10, 200916 yr But again I just wish they re created the 1900C/D in all its glory instead. Also would have been a nice bonus to us loyal pmdg customers who purchased their express line for fs9. So many good airplanes have not been given the right treatment for FSX, and only big jets seem to be in the pipeline. This would have been a great chance to have one of the best aircraft out there, the beechcraft 1900
September 10, 200916 yr I understand your disappointment, but in all fairness, can't you just enjoy this plane instead? Sure, i would have liked them to make a good Fokker 50, but here I am, with a J41, and I love every minute of it. The feel of this plane simply is incredible, and I didn't even fly it yet... So many good airplanes have not been given the right treatment for FSX, and only big jets seem to be in the pipeline. This would have been a great chance to have one of the best aircraft out there, the beechcraft 1900I had similar thoughts until I got my hands on the JS41. Personally, I think the JS41 *IS* a nice bonus to us loyal PMDG customers who purchased the B1900C/D (and everyone else). It gives us a chance to see inside Rob Randazzo's "old office", and it gives us the first real simulation of a geared turboprop -- the JS41 is not just "another turboprop", it's a brilliant, groundbreaking simulation. It is also a test bed for new simming technology, so future PMDG products (NG anyone?) will benefit from this release.Of course, there are hundreds of good aircraft that have yet to be done properly in MSFS, but each quality release should be approached with an open mind. The old adage "Don't knock it until you've tried it" absolutely applies here.
