December 9, 200916 yr I was one of many CS customers who was tricked by CS when they announced their last weekend sale (they say I and many others were not tricked). The e-mail stated everything "in the Captain Sim On-line store" was on sale for 9.99 Euros, as this current one does so I went online during the sale and entered their store and bought the C-130 ProPack. I was charged the normal price (I think $80??) and not 9.99 but thought this would be fixed when I completed the transaction. Didn't happen. I was charged the full amount as many others and efforts by many others to get the sale price after the fact were unsuccessful. We were told after the fact that you had to click on the sale advertisement on the top of the page and that would automatically take you to a special site for the sales event. There was nothing on the site that stated "click here for the sales event" or "this sale is only valid if you click on the sale icon" or something like that. It was a trick and CS probably made a large sum of money over the "sales" event as I heard a lot of people complained afterwards about the misleading e-mail. When the e-mail states everything in their online store is on sale for 9.99, you would think everything in their store can be bought for 9.99. It's not true and I just wanted to warn anyone who plans on taking advantage of this sale this weekend to click on the sales icon at the top of the page and do NOT go directly to their online store.Best regards,Jim
December 9, 200916 yr So you thought it would "fix itself after the transaction"?! Last time I recieved news of a sale event from them in my email, I purchased the 757 Pro AND the C-130 for FS9 at $9.99 each (Whata bahgain). Sorry you feel tricked or hoodwinked, but the prices are obviously marked in their store! :( Of course maybe it was executed a different way this time around? Good luck everybody. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
December 9, 200916 yr If I go to my local store and there is a sign that says "Everything On Sale For 9.99" that would be the price I would expect to pay, even though each price tag would not be changed to read 9.99.See, here is another example of a member almost ridiculing another member "just because", but this is not the first time for "mr good luck with this" to post like this.
December 9, 200916 yr Thank you for the heads up. If I go forward and by something during the sale, I will be a first time customer. I am pretty nervouse. For every bad review there is always a good one...Is the c-130 X a good buy otherwise. Is it amazing lol or crappy. I got the email and also read something in there saying that that "all sales made during the sales event are equal to regular price sales"....what does that mean "are equal"?Matt FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024

I even acknowledge the fact that the sale was probably done in a different manner from that of the one I "got lucky with". But since you went there: I find it rediculous anyone would buy something that says, for example, $45 and figures maybe it will "buff out" once the transaction goes through.I'm aware of how much I'm paying for an addon before I hand over the card information. Of course, maybe I have just been plain "lucky" with CS in that it's always been a painless experience.Opinions are like... they all stink... And guess what, you're on a forum. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

December 9, 200916 yr At 10 euros, the Capt Sim C-130 (fs9 or fsx) is a nice addition. I agree that on some of their past 9.99 sales, it was very tricky to find the right things to click on to get the sale price, and not the regular price. Just don't expect a lot of user support.scott s..
December 9, 200916 yr I was one of the "lucky" ones from last year that got the C-130 for 9.99 Euros. I didn't feel tricked, I saw the banner that said that everything was 9.99 and clicked it.

December 9, 200916 yr Whether you click the right place or not, CS should have refunded his money. It was clear that he purchased the product during their sale. It may be technically correct that he looses out on the sale because he failed to click the banner but it is not right from a customer service standpoint. December 9, 200916 yr And to think that I could have saved the equivalent of 20 Euros if I'd waited a few more days before purchasing the CS727 and both expansions.... Found out about this sale about 2 days after I bought them.... Them's the breaks, I guess.... Declared weather: FSX: ASN / FS9: ASE
December 9, 200916 yr I was charged the normal price (I think $80??) and not 9.99 but thought this would be fixed when I completed the transaction.A little naive, don't you think? If it doesn't say $9.99 right before you click the Submit button or whatever, then don't click the button, certainly not at $80! (Certainly not when "no refunds" may have been visible at one point or the other?) Certainly not when we're talking about CS here... Right or wrong, lesson learned.Sorry if that sounds a little harsh, but come on.:( Mike...

December 9, 200916 yr To the OP, I feel for you. I really do. Your situation is like going to another website who is doing something similar and seeing that you have to have a PROMO code to get the discounted price. Then even after you see that you need the code, you dont enter the code and you say that you should have only had to pay the discounted price because you bought the good or service during the time the sale was going on.no code no go! :( FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
