June 17, 201015 yr Commercial Member PMDG , please makes a 777 to fsx ! :( thank s! :( why do we bother! :(777 is being made my pmdg for fsx, there are currently 3 projects for the A320 series and then onto the A3** series...*runs head first into wall*Regards Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! June 17, 201015 yr im happy with current developments, we got 737 for fslabs and 777 from pmdg,i am not sure why they are not doing a Q400 as thats the most popular model, however it does say initally making the 200/300, lets hope they upgrade to the 400If the Majestic Software Dash 8 Q400 lives up to its expectations I don't think anything will compete with it.....Making a dash 8 200/300 is a great way to go. However Majestic Software MIGHT consider making a newer 300 that lives up to todays standards where models and HD textures are concerned.Someone else mentioned a 727? I believe the developers of the Dreamfleet 727 are creating an all new 727 product for FSX.DC-8? - Dreamfleet developers were also working on one but its development has been at a stand still for quite sometime.Trijets - I believe that xsimulate was working on a DC-10 for FSX. Even though the team took a break it seems like slowly they are continuing to work on that project. The L1011 in my opinion has never really been given justice in the FS world and after talking to pilots who flew the aircraft, they have all said that it was light years ahead of the DC-10.Airbus aircraft? Its true that Airbus is poorly represented in the FS world but it is also quite clear that other developers are working on airbus products. Some on the very same aircraft. I also believe that "Nextlevelsimulations" is creating an A380.With Level D working on a 757, Captainsim releasing a new 707, I think the only Boeing aircrafts left would be the 717 or 787. What about the 737-200? I can easier see Captsim being the first to pull that off if they wanted to.So I think where commercial jets are concerned it seems like for Boeing, the 717,787 and perhaps a DECENT 747-200/F are the only outstanding models that are unavailable for FS. I would also be tempted to say that dispite Level D 767 being available, it would be nice to see an entire 767 family created. From the 767-200/300/F to the 767-400 including winglet options. June 18, 201015 yr If the Majestic Software Dash 8 Q400 lives up to its expectations I don't think anything will compete with it.Are you sure about that? The reason I say that is have you seen the price of this? It'll be way outside alot of people's scope for a purchase, I fly the thing for a living so I want something realistic in flight modelling, but I will refuse to pay the price they will ask. Their Dash 8 300 (or is it 200?) is also poorly modelled (flight dynamics), and the FMS is not fully functional. At least with PMDG you get a fantastic looking model, a great VC and a fully functioning FMS. Also if they let me help them with the flight dynamics I am sure we can get it spot on. It'll also retail at a price that people can actually afford, particularly the younger members of the flight sim fraternity. Rgds Dean May Happiness is a limp windsock

The Majestic products are expensive but only if you purchase the Training edition. At lease one airline that I know of used this product to evaluate new pilots. The Dash8 300 model was created a long time ago. Plans may be on the way to give the Q300 a visual makeover and an upgraded FMS but this will only be considered after the Q400 release. The Q400 has just about everything simulated including all the circuit breakers and a 3rd party software that allows the Q400 to be free of any FSX limitations such as sliding when hitting the brakes etc etc. I don't think if anyone makes a Q400 it would be better in terms of systems but lets just wait and see if it lives up to the hype. June 19, 201015 yr i see the dash 8 as a side project just like the J41. although the Dash 8 does look a little bit more important than the J41 project. I wish PMDG would make a 757. Yes say all you want "there are all kinds out there. why bother." well i don't necessarily trust LEVEL D and their 757 project. I haven't seen any more than that one main panel screen shot and for all we know it could be just like their 767 VC where 3/4s of the VC was 2D. So far every Flight Sim 757 Add-on maker has successfully screwed up in at least several ways. Now its just time to see how level D goes. If they screw up too; i want to see PMDG make a 757 just as good as they made the NGX.If not a 757 than either a 767 or a 787. But i say hell no to an airbus. Air simmer is already full filling the A32X series and say all you want, 1 out of the hundreds of people i have met in the flight Simulating community, i have only heard a couple of them want PMDG to make an airbus over a Boeing. It would also be nice to see PMDG create some General Aviation aircraft. Yes, the Carenado products are nice but they use illusions to make a 3D cockpit, unlike PMDG.
June 19, 201015 yr Moderator I would love to see PMDG do a 717, which will never happen i'm sure, but I would be REALLY happy if they would do an MD-82 in PMDG sytle. I know there is the Leanardo version as well as the Coolsky version. I haven't purchased either because the Coolsky version looks dated as far as detail in the VC and the Leanardo version is more FPS intensive from what I read. If could get a PMDG style MD-82 I would buy it straight away. I would also be open to the ATR-72 since the Flight1 version has a dated VC also. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
June 28, 201015 yr Like everyone else I'm eagerly waiting for the 737 NGX but after that one I would be more than happy to get a PMDG Bae 146 and a MD80.
