Because it is a free performance upgrade? :( I got 1.54Ghz (58% speed increase) more out of my I7 920 by overclocking.

Beautiful!The MCP Collins and Honeywell it's the confirmation this is the most customizable addon for Flight Simulator, only one question, the SFP package be available? And a suggestion: It would be possible for two classes of NG in? An old one, with MCP Honeywell, FMC derived some of the Classic with some operators of the NG have. And a newer package with MCP Collins family and FMCs NG?

I guess if it is needed, it makes sense.
With bufferpools set to 0, GEX, UTX+night lighting, REX2.0, UT2, complex payware aircraft, and really high quality graphics settings, it is a necessity and makes sense.I am really looking forward to rounding out my fleet with the upcoming 737 and 777, and I am fortunate to have a system that will run them well.

The Collins EDFCS-730 is the bottom one of those two in the pictures. It was designed to look like the Sperry SP-300 (AKA the Honeywell one) in order to make the transition from one to the other easier. The main difference between the two is the bank angle selector, but the Collins model also has larger knobs and (unless they have worn off) the knobs also have captions on them.Incidentally, the fact that you can have both is of course good, but it is not correct to say that this feature is what will make it the most customisable thing for FS, since both of these options are also available in Ariane's 737NG too, along with both the digital and the traditional standby instruments. Hopefully there will also be the option to customise the overhead too (not something the Ariane 737NG has), which will allow us to create both an early and a later NG overhead, where the cabin services switches differ.They are looking very cool. Looking forward to the release of this baby with great anticipation.Al

It's quite hilarious to read through all these post - PMDG stringing every one along like little puppets.I think it's better that they don't show the previews and focus on finishing the development. Just to give you an level to compare things at; Aerosoft has posted numerous screenshots of their airbusX and the two different threads have nearly 80 pages of people asking every little question imaginable and asking for things to be included. PMDG on the other hand gives you some rather bleak snap shots at the HUD system with nothing more, and this thread pushes 7 or 8 pages of the same thing.I'll admit I come in here once a week to find out if there has been an update as to the release date; I find it hard to believe a company doesn't have a target release date. What happened to management, budgets, timelines, etc...? If the 747-8i external model (Engines) was a taste of what's to come then I'm sure we'll get our eye candy with the NGX. My question and challenge to PMDG or any FSX programmer for that matter. Step up the level of immersion like A2A Simulations has with their Accusim products.......WOOOOOOOW!!!!! I've been a die hard 737 fanatic (hell Boeing for that matter) for a long time. PMDG 737 NG was my first add on aircraft for flightsim years ago. I remeber reading about it and all it's high tech features (ground fog - cool) in PC Aviator. I read everything i could to learn how to properly fly that aircraft and recreate the real experience. People always asked (sure you have been asked too.), do you think you can fly a real one if ever given the chance. I always asnswered YES, and last year I got to test that theory multiple times with a couple different trips to an actual 737-700 and 737-500 simulator @ a major airlines training facility. Did I meet the challenge, you better believe it; and I thank all my flight time behind the PMDG. Even when it came to start up roceedures and the FMC, model very well with the exception of a few items. Back to where I was going with this, so as you can see I'm the modern jet age type of guy - thinking props are two slow and boring (WRONG).After my first flight in one of the ACCUSIM version of A2A's equipment I was a ball of fire (new level of respect for piston engine pilots). Couple more sessions the same thing. I found out you really got to pay attention to how you push the motors and control every aspect of flight. Never before in FS did I have to worry about the ramification of abusing and overworking my engines. In FS9 get in the 737 and take off and leave the throttles maxed out, what happens? NOTHING; same in many FSX planes. Real life try the same thing, you'll be wishing you were sitting on the ground when you tried it. I have always looked at PMDG as being the industries leader - producing some of the finest equipment and setting the bar for the rest of the industry. Unless they have something up their sleeve, I think they may have been put in a cold second. And why do I say that, everyone is getting better at the visuals. Look at the Aerosoft AirbusX - Great visuals from what we've seen, their short fall is not enough under the hood in systems from the sounds of things. We all know PMDG is going to produce a well built plane with a heck of a systems, they been there done that and come home with the trophy. Can PMDG step up to the same level as A2A with their Accumsim?? Thats the real question in my opinion.Wanna be Pilot looking for total immersion.............Walter Trester
I've got all of A2A's sims with Accusim and they are absolutely great, but I don't, in any way, believe A2A is ahead of PMDG, they are just different.Different developers give their focus and importance to different things.You notice that A2A only simulates older prop planes with Accusim (Piper Cub, P47 and B17). You will not see them simulate an Airbus A320, 737NG or a 777, even though these are aircraft that are very much in demand by sim enthusiast who like modern heavy metal with glass cockpits.There is a reason for this, and it is that it would take A2A about six years to make a next generation airliner with all system simulations AND Accusim. It would be a hugh task and not a profitable venture considering the cost of development.PMDG IS an industry leader, without a doubt, and because they are, they know better than to give release dates.In fact, they know better than to release too much information. Any information that they release, or dates, would just come around and bite them in the rear.PMDG has released pictures of the MCP and overhead panel for the 737NGX, on Flightsimworld.com. Overhead PanelMode Control PanelI think we can be satisfied that this will be a very outstanding 737 simulation when it is released by an industry leader.I just hope that when they release this new 737NGX, it will be right along with FS2Crew's 2010 Voice Command. That would be great!
William-The airplane we are basing the NGX VC upon was thoroughly filthy and well worn....That level of use and filth will be reflected in the final product- and it gives the VC a very "lived in" feel.We might have some previews for you this week... We're getting closer to previews.
I just can't wait to see the full previews of the aircraft. That is exciting.

Looks very Captain Sim in visual quality and quite nice. Looking forward to the release of this product and I hope it is quite literally at end of this month.

I just hope that WXR button actually does something this time!
