there is a HUGE difference between taking a screenshots, and actually flying the plane.Sure, i could max out everything take a bunch of shots here and there, but lets be realistic, you cannot expect people to fly with these settgins and wish for a smooth 20+ FPS flight. it is NOT possible, well not with current hardware at least.Anyway, for future projects, i'd show the FPS that you get when you take your fancy little screenshots.Thanks.greg

Ulf,You crack me up! I have to take a break from these threads or I am going to chuckle myself into the madhouse. I have work to do for tomorrow, but maybe later on I will have time to overfly some more PNW perfection (at 24 fps or so).Stephen :(

Just flew from KORS to KMSO and the scenery was terrific.. What amazed me was the smoothness of the textures and that they didn't pop in and out.Best Product of 2010 (so far) hands down!!jja

Fair enough. But they are not shown on the screenshots here and certainly are not consisting of random texture tiles at all.EDIT: i wanted to show you a few pics of what according to FSFlyer is a "not complex at all bunch of buildings and scattered objects that is not worth its price":

Hi,Now these are the images that should of been shown to show off Orbx's new PNW scenery. Not the ones they chose to show, that look no different than those of other US addons. Based on what I am beginning to see, I think this is turning out to be a great looking addon package.

Hi,If thats the case why post them in the Pacific North West from ORBX is out topic? They have nothing to do with PNW and are misleading. As far as bait, there is no bait. I have two eyes and can see for myself, I based my impression on the images ORBX posted on "THEIR WEBSITE" of their upcoming PNW software and my FSX setup, there was not that much of a difference between the two.I have however, seen additional screen shots from users who have purchased this addon and I am now able to see significant differences between my FSX setup (with addons) and ORBX's PNW scenery. I may even purchase this product within the next day or two.

We both have been immersed in this addictive hobby for a long time (my first sim was on an Apple2e), and in my judgment (for what it's worth), this truly is a special step up of a different kind of product. Your computer will run wide open and flat out fast with the PNW at extremely dense. I would be very surprised if you were not pleased with it and will be waiting for your assessment.Stephen
