April 18, 201016 yr I don't know if this is a false positive but AVG just informed me on a system scan that there was a Trojan Horse in the Flight One Software folder - UTXEurope.exe. This file has been on my system for quite some time so I don't know why AVG just noticed this possible corruption. It is possible that a hacker broke through my security and replaced this executable with this TH. It could also be possible that in an AVG profile update, they may have added something that identified a problem previously not covered.NOTE: The virus check also identified a file in the Windows\TEMP folder associated with the UTXEurope.exe file. That extra file under Windows was what prompted me to post this message. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and the newest version of AVG.At any rate, I would advise checking this file with your security software to see if it has become corrupted. Better safe than sorry. As I have a backup copy of this executable on another computer I can replace it. Of course, if you have a backup, check it too.Frank
April 18, 201016 yr This is almost certainly a false positive. Some anti-virus products consider the Flight1 wrapper a threat, because similar technology can be used to distribute malware. April 18, 201016 yr Hello,I have the same problem with AVG (paid for version). About 50% of the Flight One Wrappers that I get or need for updates will not run unless I turn off the service. In my case, the installs will not even run unless the service is terminated. Just today, I tried to update my Eaglesoft product and it would not run due to "a virus".Cheers,Ron Sagel

However, I have many Flight1 wrappers and they are not causing this alert. It is also a possibility that a hacker also knows that Flight1 wrappers cause false positives and could use that as a disguise for the TH. Just a thought.

April 18, 201016 yr AVG is junk. Get Microsoft Security Essentials if you don't want to pay. If you do want to pay, get something like PC-Cillin

April 19, 201016 yr Commercial Member If the false-positive is in the Flight One Software folder, it is not even the wrapper. You can get false-positives from maybe 40 different security products out there, and it is near impossible *not* to get false positives. If you go to http://www.virustotal.com/sobre.html you will see a list of what software companies are up against these days. Especially when you ship files that in some cases are near 2 gigibytes in size, it gives a lot more oportunity for a false positive. Thanks, Steve Halpern Flight One Software
April 19, 201016 yr I have NOD32 and I always get false positive with Flight1 wrappers.. just ignore and have fun if you're getting it when downloading stuff from Flight1. It's not a virus and I even think they have something about this written on their website. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
April 19, 201016 yr For info, I recently had a false positive appear with AVG against one of the PMDG MD11X dll files. I reported it to AVG via the auto system and they updated the software within 24 hours.John
