May 27, 201016 yr I removed the ENBSeries mod from the performance version because of instability problems when used with HIGHMEMFIX=1 take enbseries out and you'll fix your crashes.I rebuilt the fsx.cfg file first, hoping that takes care of it
May 27, 201016 yr The Shader 3 adds beter waves so now the mirror like cloud reflections look more scattered. Like in reality.Your point re the better waves highlighted the fact i had used the water_fix from the avsim library to gain performance, so I changed back and up the slide to max.it appears to have calmed it down a wee touch.who would have thought that even on a low/mid set up you can enjoy default aircraft in default senery, thanks
May 28, 201016 yr Unfortunately I've still got the "grids" appearing, for some reason. I thought uping the AA cured the problem but it actually did not. In the process, I've lost my original ShadersHLSL folder so I can't revert back to them... :( Alexander Alonso

May 28, 201016 yr Author The one with the numbers is the second one I uploaded. (version 1.5) if you search '******* altuve' in the library you'll see all versions. you need the latest one: 1.5

May 28, 201016 yr Just a question because I've some problems with water animations. Is there a problem to use REX2 water animations (shaders 2) with the bojote's shaders 3 ?
May 28, 201016 yr lumat83,Greetings, and I am using Rex2 with Shader model 3 quite happily (latest 1.5 - performance release, no ENB series files). The colour and clarity is noticeably better with Shader 3 for me. With regard to Rex2 water/wave textures, yes it works well with Shader Model 3 and I like the colours. However, I found the Rex2 choice called 'Sparkles' or something similar, too sparkly, and so chose a less sparkly one. I do find that the sparkles will turn on and off quite suddenly, and perhaps that will depend on how I meneouver my aircraft, the direction I am flying in relation to the Sun, or the amount of cloud cover as light effects on the sea would in real life. However, the loss and return of the sparkles doesn't fade gradually, but suddenly and I find that a bit disconcerting. Perhaps I shouldn't find that so unsettling. Here's an image of my usual flying area, without sparkles at this time, but exactly what I would see when I flew over these Atlantic Ocean, UK, cliffs in gliders in real life:Give it a go - it's easy to reverse if you don't like it, and try different Rex2 textures.gliderdriver

May 28, 201016 yr Author Now I only have black squares.... :( I tried to revert back but I still got that :(you read the instructions right? you did not say what steps you tried to try to fix it.
May 28, 201016 yr Thank you Gliderdriver.I found some good settings. But I've another little problem (with the latest 1.5 - performance). The sea look a bit strange at night (too grey) : Is there a way to correct this effect ?

May 28, 201016 yr Yes I read the instrcution. Like I said, everything got backed-up (shader folder and water file). So what I did:1- made back-ups of files2- Extract both files in the FSX folder3- add those 2 lines in my ''graphic'' section in fsx.cfg ALLOW_SHADER_30=1 SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=98724304- started FSX5- got that (see both pictures)6- removed those 2 lines in fsx.cfg7- removed the Shader folder and waterconstant to replace them by the original.8- still got the problem :( here is my fsx.cfg May 28, 201016 yr From the readme : 2) Edit your fsx.cfg file and add the following lines to enable Shader 3.0 support:[GRAPHICS]ALLOW_SHADER_30=1SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=9872430The SHADER_CACHE_VERSION above instructs FSX to re-compile the shaders, this number has to be changed if the ShadersHLSL is modified. The 9872430 is just a random number you can use ANY number, just remember to change it everytime you update anything INSIDE your ShadersHLSL folder OR even if you UNINSTALL IT, so the shaders are re-compiled again. So put back the SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=xxx line, change the value which will re-compile the shaders cache and you should be fine. May 28, 201016 yr Author Yes I read the instrcution. Like I said, everything got backed-up (shader folder and water file).Which version of the Shader Mod you installed? it seems 'bloom' is enabled, correct? Is that because of the ENBSeries mod or the FSX bloom? What I think might be happening is that you installed the original shader mod version, which included the ENBSeries mod, which some users have contacted me about compatibility problems with it. So, do this:Go into your main FSX folder, and look for a file called D3D9.DLL dont worry, the file INSIDE your FSX folder is NOT a system or FSX file, its just the ENBSeries mod. If you have that file RENAME it to something like D3D9.DLL.DISABLED and start the sim again. You should see no problems.
