  • I actually manged to fix the problems that plagued bojote's sm3 in fsx by making a hybrid of default fsx shaders with his files. Most of the shaders are sm3, the others are left at sm2 (full sm2, not

Wait.. does FS9 also have a ShadersHLSL folder?
The two versions have slightly different 'settings', if you want, I can tell you what to tweak... send me an email to [email protected] and I'll give you some pointers. Basically, those versions differ in the texture minification and magnification filters, plus the MIP filter in use, including the LOD bias settings.. but I made the changes in the code to make those 'tweakable' by adding custom texture samplers.Since we all have different tastes, I guess we have four choices:1) stick to the original Shaders2) Use the original version of my shaders3) Use the performance version4) Use either the original version of my shaders or the performance version and TWEAK it to your liking.Again, for #4, contact me privately, and if you don't feel like tweaking stick to #1
Email sent. Thanks you :(
Those are you Shader CACHE folders..... try this, RENAME THEM BOTH rename shaders to shaders.old and rename shaders10 to shaders10.oldand one more thing... make sure (and this is VERY IMPORTANT) that you have a ShadersHLSL folder INSIDE your FSX folder. and tell me what the contents of that folder are. I have the feeling you moved your ShadersHLSL somewhere else.
I tried it, but only the folder shaders reamde itself. Sadders10 was not there (still the shadders10.old though)in the ShadersHLSL I have 6 subfolders: Commun, FixedFunction,General, misc, PostProcess, Terrainin the Shaders: Commun, FixedFunction,General, misc, Terrainin the Shaders10: ShadersHLSL.... inside it: general, misc, terrainThts what I have now in DX9...EDIT: you can PM me if you want, I dont want to squat your topic hahac17bug2.png

Send me your entire fsx.cfg, there most be something obvious we are missing.

It didn't til I threw the \ShadersHLSL folder into my FS9 root (+ WaterConstants.Xml). Then I added the required [GRAPHICS] section into my FS9.cfg file. My card is an ATI Radeon 2600Pro.

my fps are suddenly horrible when looking at the water and the sun reflections... like 2 fps. what is going on?

Not sure but Im running a ati 4670 card with 1gig of video ram I have dx 10 enabled and have tried both the performance version and the enb series version and I find I get the best results with the enbseries version . I thought the performance version was suposed to work better with the ATI cards?

Hello ******* and all...Let me say thanks for your efforts on behalf of our hobby. I also have bloom issues...This is the Global view...but, even from a close in ciew, there is an overlay of haze....that becomes whiter as I zoom out.My specs...:ASUS P5K-E MOBO, Q6600 CPU, NVIDIA BASE GTS250 W/1024MB MEMORY.I checked config.sys and have everything enabled as best I can tell, I also reduced overall bloom in the enb.ini from 100 to 50.Thanks.Sherm

Sherm, I'm aware of that 'issue'. its possible that is also present in DX10.. it is because of the 'intensity' of the fog effects when using SM3.0

Hi,Perhaps this might help:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?s=&...t&p=1769268Mike

Thanks Bojote for getting your Shader 3.0 Mod tuned-in. I installed it yesterday without any issues and it looks simply great on my rig listed in my sig. No problems anywhere: water, clouds and terrain look fantastic. I'm using the HF2 water in REX 2.0; I've yet to try any of the others. As a bonus the skin on the Acceleration 'Cloud Dancer' mustang never looked better with its reflective bump-mapped surface. I tried the 1.0 mod and removed it immediately, your latest is excellent and works great with my EMB mod settings. Thanks,

*******, not sure if I am adding thing here, but I installed your latest update running on a nVidia 8800 GT and I am getting great frames. I am NOT configuring anything with REX

thanks, for the quick response....is there a cure?Sherm

I'm not sure which of these tweaks did it, but I get the "black spikes" whenever red text (like simulation paused, brakes, and the slew mode) go on the screen. They disappear after the red text disappears. Could it be the shader mod?
