May 28, 201016 yr There is no comparison between between the coloured glasses and the shutters. It would be like comparing back & white to HD colour. To answer your questionsNo problem with the coloursBrightness is fine and can be adjusted I use the defaultPAPI are double (this is the only issue noted by NvidiaHandling knobs in the VC can been a bit tricking if you are not close enough... I use the trackir and move in a bit closer then it OKYou can pull up the 2D panel if you like ... I have not found a solution to Squawkbox.... maybe by using another monitor you could drag the squakbox panel across. If there is a fix for this I would greatly appreciate the solutionVFR or IFR flying this is the 3D is the way to go.... I have being using flight sim since the very first version over 25years ago and in my opinion this is the biggest leap forward.Bear in mind to get the best out FSX you need a heavy duty machine.AndrewOk, clear, nice that someone is able to share his experience with the 3D Vision set in FS.Thx
May 28, 201016 yr Author You should divide it by 1000. It is Hertz [Hz], not MHz.Is there any solution to Matrox Th2Go Users? I think it wont, since the 5040x1050x57Hz is the maximum DVI can handle (~8Gbps)Correct should be Hz... so 120hz Computer Monitor 60hz each eyeCheersAndrew
May 28, 201016 yr Author I saw some 3Dmovies on youtube and it's amazing!! But...What happens when the computer computes 30 fps?15 go to the left eye and 15 go to the right? Are you then left with slow graphics? (15 fps)In other words; do you need for 3D a computer twice as fast?I'd like to know that before I buy those 3D things. To use the 3D Nvidia shutter glasses setup you must have a 120Hz monitor the shutter works at 60 hz for each eye... You can only use a lesser Hz monitor if you use the colour glasses ... "Old school technology"Frame rate is the same for each eye ... remember its the glasses doing the work not the computer, no you don't need a computer twice as fast. On my system the frame is the same with or without the 3D glasses.Hope this helps.AndrewI saw some 3Dmovies on youtube and it's amazing!! May 29, 201016 yr being flying FX in 3D for over 12 months, you'd never want to go back! and yes i am on a tH2GO setup, over three screens its wonderful!! I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram

May 29, 201016 yr ...its the glasses doing the work not the computer...Yes with 3D switched on you Athlon3700+@3ghz, 6600GT, RadeonX700pro, 2G RAM, Win7, FSX, 1 x LG1680-1050, 2 x Philips1024-768 What I want: I7-930, X58, 3 x 1920-1080 with 3D spacegoggles, NO TH2G, NO Eyefinity, NO Sli, NO Crossfire
June 1, 201016 yr How the hell do you use 3D with triple monitor setup? I cannot imagine this is fun. It would mean, that you have three 120Hz displays, and running about 5760x1080 pixel ? I bet your system is getting down on knees :) Me myself,I am flying at 6080x1200 with ATI HD 5870 and three 24" Dell displays. I cannot imagine that 3D would be fine on this setup :( Asus Rampage II Extreme X58, i7 920 @4 GHz, 12GB RAM OCZ Platinum @1.646MHz 7-7-7-20 (1T), Noctua NH-U12P SE1366, Sapphire HD-5870 Vapor-X , 30" Dell @2560x1600 pixel, SSD Intel X-25 M for OS, 1 TB WD Caviar Green for FSX, be quiet Dark Power Pro P7 650W AT, Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion + Teufel 5.1 Surround Set, LG Blu-Ray-ROM LG DVD+/-RW, Aerocool FP-01 Flip-Panel, Lian Li ARMORSUIT P60 black, Windows7 64bit Ultimate.

Only problem when use this glasses is light glow are double. It's cool in daytime flight , amazing aerobatic with extra 300 near the tree . I can estimate distance , how far , how height. Immersion on landing.with these illusion , poor color saturation just left behind.but terrible night flight because many many light on ground , all lights are double.on the other hand , I interested in 3d shutter glasses very much .I know it is trap from nvidia that try color glasses and go for shutter glasses.
June 8, 201015 yr Now , I can solve PAPI and light glow double and ghosting . and make night flight is possible.Use 3d driver from www.iz3d.com that amazing and compatible with all card.just try

Analglyph 3D will work with any card. You only need nvidia for their proprietry shutter glasses.
June 8, 201015 yr Sorry sir. I don't have nvidia 3d shutter glass. I only have red/cyan anaglyph and nvidia gtx280.when nvidia stereoscopic enable in anaglyph mode it lead to double light bloom and PAPI.and driver from iz3d.com can produce 3d flight without these problem. again.
June 8, 201015 yr One thing to watch out for is this current HDMI 1.4 spec. for 3D televisions. The next round of ATI cards (Southern Island) supposedly support HDMI 1.4. Thus, any 3D television should understand the 3D signal being output on ATI card. What that means - if ATI has good 3D drivers at that time for 2D games like FS9/FSX, it should be simple to use a standard 1080p 3D television (e.g., with active shutter glasses) as the monitor. I think NVIDIA already has a software driver (3DTV Play?) that outputs HDMI 1.4 .Here's a slight twist on the above. The 3D Sammy I just bought (at a pretty good discount - I was surprised) *already* does its own 2D to 3D on any HDMI video signal it receives, including from a PC. So I'll give FS9/FSX a try and see how the Sammy 2D-3D conversion looks. I've read that it is sort of a weak-tea 3D, but that might not be a bad thing actually for long flight.
June 18, 201015 yr I have tried to set FSX with my 3D Vision and am not able to get FSX to show up in the NV Control panel under the list of installed stereoscopic 3D compatible games. When I tried to run it anyway it showed ghosts, two images overlaping, and I got the errors say:Glow on lights are incorrectIncorrect 3D object placementI have a fresh install with all default settings, OS is Win7 64, my FSX "preview DX10" box is unchecked and I am using Gigabyte GTX480, tried few drivers....would appreciate any help on this!Thank you Moshe Mizrahi

It means it is installed properly. The error message (if you want to call it that) is just to let you know these are the known problems with the game "FSX". Nvidia just wanted to let you know so you wouldn't go complaining to them later on. Just throw on your 3D glasses and hit Ctrl T (if necessary) and be somewhat amazed. I was! Make sure you are flying during the day as I don't think the 3d night effect will give you too much awe. If 3D is enabled for FSX, you also won't be able to view the aircraft you're flying before you hit the Fly button. The aircraft viewing box will be black (or at least it was on mine). Not to worry as it will be fully seen when FSX loads and the aircraft is ready to fly (or is flying). Just remember, the good thing about the Nvidia 3d thingy is that you can turn it on or off on the fly by using Ctrl T.Best regards,Jim
June 19, 201015 yr I remember reading on a stereoscopic 3d forum that someone had success by changing the name of the fsx.exe file to crysis.exe, which forced the 3D Vision software to apply the Crysis profile to flight simulator in DX10 mode.In my case, I didn't need to change the file name, and I haven't had any problems enabling 3D Vision in either DX9 or DX10 mode.I've been simming in 3D for about two years, and last week switched from E-dimensional shutter glasses to the newer Nvidia specs. Overall, the performance is astounding. Great frame rates, and the colour is much improved compared to E-dimensional glasses. "Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"
