Just upgraded from MyTraffic 5.2b to 5.3 Pro

Hello Artur, still a problem for me and I'm very sure about it. That is, when I can complete a flight as I'm also experiencing 75% CTD with MTX 5.3 Pro with defaulting modules of NTDLL.dll and FSUI.dll.

I'm sorry to say but your crashes have nothing to do with MTX 5.3. Have you tried removing your overclock? or have you tried a clean install of FSX, MTX and scenery packages?I have been using MTX 5.3 from the day it was released and have had ZERO crashes in FSX. This is flying both long haul and short flights.

Contextual problem. I should have said, I'm still experiencing slow down problems with MTX 5.3 Pro as well as FSX CTD problems and the defaulting modules are....Nevertheless, thanks for the reply and suggestion of a re-install as certainly it's in my future.

Are there any simmers who can compare MytrafficX 5.3Pro to UT2? Specifically performance and traffic density? Thanks.Bob..

Bob Prince

I tried UT for about two weeks back around February and did notice a more pronounced performance hit with UT compared to MT 5.2b Pro. I also didn't like the way UT 'injects' the traffic into FSX. I uninstalled UtTand got the refund back. At the same traffic levels, I would say UT cost me an extra 5-7 fps over MT with settings around 30-40%. I could run MT at 40%, but would have to drop UT's level down to 30% to get less of a performance hit. Though I admit the UT models were a little better in quality than the MT ones, but it was not enough to make up for the performance hit on at least my machine.I also like the fact that MT includes GA and military traffic as well. Everything in one single package. Of course, UT came out with GA traffic after I quit using it.

Man oh man...I am lovin' this!I don't know what happened, or if Burkhard changed something in MTX v5.3 for the Audio Environment Airliner Edition v1.2 to finally work properly, but here I am sitting at a gate in KCVG (Cincinnati-Kentucky) and all around me is heavy iron that sounds FANTASTIC! Boy, this deal is finally working and at real-world volumes, I now wouldn't be without it. The sounds at real-world volumes around you are UBER immersing and brings the A.I. to life!I'm also having a blast opening a window and seeing all the great new FSX optimised SP2 MTX A.I.'s flying the skies, departing, landing, at taxi...and all with the most realistic engine envelopes that change as you pan around the aircraft. More whine towards the front, and more sheer thrust as you come around behind the engines. WOW! The sounds are authentic to be sure. I could never hear them before with MTX 5.2b...but with v5.3 you bet I do. Finally, I get my money's worth for what is now a 'must have' product. MTX v5.3 and A.E.A.E. rocks supreme! When you are waiting at the threshold to take off..and that BIG ONE lets loose the turbines....you better hold onto your cap...LOL! Incredibly satisfied on all counts. Here is what I did to make it all happen:1. I ran the A.E.A.E v1.2 sound-mask and returned all sounds to stock (removed the premium ones) I read the MTX 5.2b uninstall portion of the manual and followed it to the letter, step-by-step. I then did a registry clean and rebooted.2. I ran the MTX 5.3 installer and waited out the installation.3. I then ran the A.E.A.E. v1.2 mask and reinstalled the sounds (turned them back on) for both MTX and DEFAULT A.I.I then booted up FSX and the WONDERFUL games began.I finally (in my opinion) have FSX at real-world immersion. I now couldn't care less if it didn't get 'better' than what I have at present with all the in-place programs contributing, as I am now truly, flying the 'satisfied' skies....oh yeah! (HUGE smile on the kisser...)Post Edit: I have settled upon Commercial at 40 percent, G.A. at 25, and airport vehicles at MEDIUM. Works great and leaves some gates open for landing to taxi to.Cheers!Mitch

Just a preliminary report: at EGLL with 30% airline traffic I have more than enough great-looking planes, with decent fps (though frankly I'm gonna try UK2000's EGLL, I do think Aerosoft's is a hog) - so I'd say a) MTX 5.3 is working fine a2) the eye candy at first blush is probably a bit nicer and c) At last! I can avoid my CD/5.1 upgrade/5.2 cross patch/5.2b upgrade stuff, next time I need to install, since I finally have a new 1.3gig installer. Phew. Worth the 12 quid on its own.Note, people in Europe, that you'll pay about 14 euros with VAT, at an odd 19% (soon to be 20 in the UK) - so it's not a straight 12. Still - worth it, not least to support this excellent developer.

Remember with MT, you can use the MT Configurator to install less demanding models with less animations. Sitting at KMDW with 40% traffic, I averaged about 18-20 fps with the top models and full animations. With the lesser quality and less animation models, my frame rates jumped 7-11 fps.

With UTII the Traffic setting could be 100% and you may not see any traffic. They should add a 'Play' mode to just dial-in a % traffic without regard to real life schedules. IOW hold traffic at a certain percent. That's what a simmer would expect.jja

Yes you can upgrade to 5.3 for the special price. I upgraded to 5.3 and have never noticed a loading time delay with either. I had purchased UT2 just after the SP1 for it came out, and changed to MTX because I was experiencing the same issues many others were having: i.e. lack of aircraft at large airports, and none at the GA airfields, plus a hesitation as UT2 traffic did load. Then there was the "20 minute parking time - then poof - it's gone".After replacing it with MTX the instant I opened a Maddog flight at SeaTac I nearly fell off my seat - there were so many aircraft! Same at Renton; same at Portland, Hillsboro, Troutdale. Aircraft everywhere with little fps hit. I'm one happy camper with MTX.

Thanks, I will buy the upgrade to MTX 5.3, and uninstall UT2 prior.Helmut

I also agree MTX 5.3 Pro models and traffic are terrific, and B. Renk is assisting me to solve whatever problems I'm experiencing, which includes unfortunately, a reinstall of FSX. Nice to see hands on help like that from a developer. I'm a long time user of MTX, and more than familiar with the choices within the program regarding less quality and no animations.

Helmut, I don't find the FSX's load time any longer than before I had MTX. On my i7-920@4Ghz, it usually just takes about 20-30 seconds for the main screen to appear after I start FSX.
