Just upgraded from MyTraffic 5.2b to 5.3 Pro

Got 5.3, and is impressive. I also have UT2, models are better on ut 2, but now i want some more performance. 5.3 is not perfect yet, but is a great winner here. some shots from LFPG, KJFK and KEWR. 80%.my6.jpgmy5.jpgmy4.jpgmy3.jpgmy2.jpgmy1.jpgI did those screens if it can be useful for someone, just like WallysWorld did.

Hello all; I came accross this thread by accident & was about to purchase ultimate traffic 2 I used to use WOAI with FS9 and liked it very much. But, now that I'm using FSX, WOAI is not without issues (FS9 & FSX compatability). Basically, I want a program that works out of the box with minimal tweaking (unless I want to). MTX V5.3 seems to be my answer. Thanks for posting all this information, Iain

Certainly is, can't fault it.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

MTX is great for what you want. You install it in three steps which are very well documented and easy to do, and then your'e done. Without having to meddle with the program or modify anything, your world is filled to the top with AI aircraft. In all honesty, Burk renkhard, the developer, recommends having your AI slider no higher than 50%... More isn't necessary. And if you do want to tweak, that's possible. The time machine feature is awesome. I use it to put everything back to 2010, so I have the Blue lines livery of United back, before they changed all the liveries on all their planes post-merger.

It seems as though the exits are not defined on those AI aircraft, none of the jetways are attached.

I made the ugrade from 5.2b to 5.3 sometime ago. I was very impressed with the models and the frames. I have a mid range rig and with traffic set at 40% I have airports full of planes and I get frames about 25-30. The AI models are good but I think a lot more detail would cause the frames to tank. The true test is go to KJFK and taxi to see how things look and the performance. Running MTX at 100% make far too much traffic for my righ to handle and there are no gates available. However I have FSUIPC set so when I pull into my assigned gate and there is a AI sitting I can push a key and zap AI pull into the gate and then restore AI, see what ground zone control can do LOL. Actually with MTX, you can define the models not to have details like exits so that the jetways won't be in use and thus gain frames. That what's happening in the screenshots. It's an option with MTX. I've been using MTX for the last few years and have not been disappointed. I've got AI set to 50% and that gives me more than enough AI.

I've been using WOAI as AI in FSX since originally setting up FSX and really no complaints so far, but this thread has piqued my curiosity regarding MTX 5.3. My understanding is that MTX's graphics are over all not as well detailed as WOAI but do provide better framerates. Is this correct? I did check out MTX over at SimMarket, particularly the screenshots provided, and while the airliners do look pretty good, the GA airplanes look pretty bad. Is this the general consensus?

Did you check out this review? http://www.simflight.com/2010/06/review-mytraffic-x-v5-3-professional/ I'm also a WOAI user but want a simple program to use that will generate lots of traffic with a 50% setting.

Must say that all aircraft are less good than the WoAI ones, although with 5.4 you will gonna see some improvements. My main concerns were always with the 757 and 767, the rest looked okay. My reason to use MTX is the huge amount of traffic and the enormous variety of airlines and airplanes, pax cargo and military. There simply is no other add-on that brings you such amounts of traffic.

Thank you as well, Thralni. I will check out the review later tonight and most probably pick it up.

I'm about to purchase My Traffic after looking through most of the available options. I have a quick question (s).Does My Traffic remove all the default FSX AI traffic and false liverlies?Does My Traffic proviode an audi file so that ATC can talk to My Traffic aircraft?Thank you, Iain
