August 11, 201015 yr Oh you are right wrong company. I still have every imaginesim airport.WSSS coming soonVHHH outKSJCKIADetc. You go down their list and they are important airports that are pretty well done
August 11, 201015 yr I'm aware of the patches. They still look bad and when you compare their airports to FTX, FSTD, or Fly Tampa's it's no contest. My money will go elsewhere, until they develop a FREE full upgrade to San Juan, PR. I paid for a poorly touched up FSX version. MSFS
August 11, 201015 yr I reinstalled KCLT and in appears that I messed up the installation (Simmarket should really put dates of their update files so you know the order to install). AES recognizes it now BUT it still has the lights issues that plagues their other airports making it impossible to use at night. The fixed it for some (LGA for example) but we still need updates for IAD and CLT. This is why I can buy SJC - I don't know what I am going to get.My understanding is the lights issue is only there for those with Acceleration. August 12, 201015 yr While I've read many similar topics regarding Imaginesim, I personally crossed them off my list of developers that will receive my business when I learned they "pirated" over 7,900 lines of approach code from a freeware developer, Jim Vile, for their 2004 version of KATL.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/231498-imaginesim-katl-released/page__st__25 (page 2, post #30)Based on that conduct, lack of support for their customers seems to be "par for the course". August 12, 201015 yr I only have 2 of their airports, KATL and KCLT. KATL I bought cuz it is my home town airport and nobody else has done it. Dont know why I got KCLT but it makes for a nice short flight from KATL to KCLT. Believe me, if I knew what I know now about them I would have spent my money elsewhere for sure. I do own some of the other big name scenery packages and out of all of them I like Fly Tampa's the best. Long story short... we live and learn folks!I know it's a little bit late, but you are aware that there are demos for both airports right? Danny
August 12, 201015 yr I know it's a little bit late, but you are aware that there are demos for both airports right?Yes I know, and I did try the demo but my problems I am having now are mainly with KATL. 1) AI refuse to take off from 9L and the awefull lights. I have emailed them probably 3 or 4 times now about it. One time they replied that they will look into it but still I am waiting. There are so many nice FSDT airports that I am going to get a few of them with hopes for ImagineSim to get on the ball. Jim Wenham
September 8, 201114 yr Yup, Imaginesim support sucks, I emailed both support and sales with a question and haven't heard a word in 6 days,Chris
September 8, 201114 yr Moderator Yup, Imaginesim support sucks, I emailed both support and sales with a question and haven't heard a word in 6 days,ChrisNot surprised. I've emailed them 5 times in the past and had a reply from only one of the emails, and the one they did reply back they asked me a question of which I answered myu reply with and never heard another word.I'll be honest. I have no idea why some FS addon companies/developers give such poor support. It's almost like they want to purposely scare people off from buying their products. It would be one thing if the product was really great and the support was terrible, but their products aren't really that great to start with and the support is even worse. Sometime I wonder if they are active members in the Avsim community and get a good laugh at those of us who buy their stuff and then sit here and complain about the support.I only own KCLT, ATL, and TJSJ and too be honest they aren't bad, but nowhere near FSDT or FT. They still seem to be developing FSX products that look like FS9 airports due to the low res textures and even with that, they don't perform all that great. The last product I tried recently was KDEN for FSX. I ran the demo first before buying and was so underwhelmed that I uninstalled the demo and never looked back. I have a feeling that I probably wont be getting any more of their offerings going forward. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
September 8, 201114 yr Its really sad and it gets me upset I wish them well but it just really sucks that there responding like this, Cal Lewin the main developer of imagiensim has been doing this for a very long long time since the simflyer days tjsj is still missing the trees I posted this before on other topic I cant remember and asked about the ground vehicles that all flash at the same time which is not how there are in real life and it was annoying me and asked if it could be changed they said they cannot unless they redid the models which for me I really think they need to redo all there 3dmodel assets so I had to delete them leaving a empty ramp. September 8, 201114 yr Commercial Member Just to chime in here... If you guys bought the addons with the old Flight1 wrapper, I have the links to these archived addons. You just need to submit a request ticket at our site and I can help you get reloaded for those older files. I have dropped an email to Cal as well for you all to inform him of this thread and hopefully you guys will get some responses. September 8, 201114 yr Unfortunately, their new Denver scenery seems to have been built on a toxic waste dump becasue at night the airport grass and runways are glowing orange! It looks pretty horrible considering the rest of the airport detail is pretty good and has AES support. I assume, from this thread, that it would be a waste of time letting them know about this?
September 8, 201114 yr I have no problems with them, just installed their KDEN scenery and it worked well. But not like others I love BluePrint sceneries, really good on the frames and they are accurate, not disturbed for lack of AES. Bob
September 20, 201114 yr My homebase is KCLT. Back in Mar,2011 I emailed support to see if there would be an update showing the new runway 18R/36L for KCLT. The reply I got from support was after the KDEN project they would work on a patch for KCLT. Acouple of weeks ago I emailed support again asking about KCLT. The reply I got a few days later was they were working on the New Delhi project and an overhaul of KMSY and I "Might" see an update for KCLT towards the end of the year. Walter
January 2, 201214 yr Their support absolutely sucks.I asked for support for my KDEN scenery, and I got a reply that didn't help me with barely anything. I was basically off-topic.I think it's SO poor.
