e-jets v2: who's gonna bite ?

Bob, I only have two things to say about your post... First, with only 1,200 some odd posts, you have not been around long enough to have known that guy. I haven't been around long enough to have met that guy! If anyone has met that guy, please name him, cause I must have missed him/her.Second, "fun-o-meter"... A great idea! How about if we do reviews with scoring add-on's with a fun-o-meter ratings. You know; tickled one nerve, tickled two nerves... Etc.Seriously, good post and well said.
Thanks Tom. Actually, nothing much has changed as I still remember the Pro-Pilot wars back in '97. Now that was bloody. LOL. I feel some folks take flight simming waaaaaay to seriously. Although I'm tempted to report posts were the writer mentions he is 'playing' FSX or FS9'. As if it is a game. Bob.. :)

i went back to my sources and have never seen a reference to a range of 3000nm. there is reference to 2000 (range indicator max 1000). this 'length' of display is not simulated as a sub-display screen on a PC monitor doesn't allow for all the data to be displayed ... you would get a white/magenta blob (which is all that can be seen at a 500nm range.
porpoising
again, never experienced for me or any beta tester ... the same for the ejet volume 1. there is only ONE report in two posts (same person double posted) with volume 1 (i reviewed the support forum). when the poster asked for details he/she never returned to the forum. other posters in the OP thread stated they see some changes that relate to the bug in the flightsim pressure changes model (relates to the FS bug in wind speed and direction changes that require addon weather engine and/or payware FSUIPC to moderate, but not fully correct). the ejet autopilot corrected the altitude change calmly and correctly.FYI: the airbus code and erj/ejet code are not related. different design team. yes there is similar behaviors in that there is a FADEC on an ERJ/Ejet and airbus ... much like an engine in a ford works kinda like the engine in a chevy.now, my reference before to 'FS autopilot' is in error (quick reference done during my lunch break while at a starbucks). i was thinking the ERJs.try checking the following OFF and ON 'disable joystick axis when AP is on' on the config utility preferences tab.support forum -http://forum.iemit.com--

My apologies if my post was the object of some of the retaliatory replies about whining. It was made as what I considered to be a relevant comment about the support of a newly released product as it pertains to 64-bit operating systems. Do I need to own this particular product to fully understand the implications of that little footnote? Seems as though that is something that can be critiqued without making a purchase. Moreover I am a FeelThere customer, and I do have experience requesting support on products that carry the same requirement. In that light, my comments seem right on par with the title of the topic "v2: who's gonna bite". That to me is a direct question regarding who will buy and who won't. I'm sorry if constructive criticism is not a welcome source of input here.

Honestly, this is getting silly. It reminds me of a recent joke I received concerning the nature of women. Changing the object to simmer goes something like this."One day, long, long ago, there lived a simmer who did not whine, nag or gripe. But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day."The OP should have asked that only those who purchased 'Volume' 2 to reply. I really don't care if you're not going buy it. That's your choice. How about leaving the thread to those providing first hand feedback? I'm sure those looking to make a purchase decision will appreciate the courtesy. Start your own 'Why I won't buy Feelthere Products. The new 'volume' is NOT bug ridden. I rate it high on my 'fun-o-meter' and nor is at a disadvantage running under 64bit that I have found. IMHO Feelthere has consistently offered planes that are good value. They are not PMDG level, but neither are they priced at that level. Please find me another airplane developer who for $35 offers a very complete aircraft with high fidelity FMS and models for both FS9 and FSX. Thanks.Bob.. :)
Common sense on the play. Penalty 15 yds.Repeat the down.

Hey Scoob. The 3000 mile range map is just a guestimate. It might be 2000. Bt i Know it was very far. We were in Calgary and he could show me Toronto on the map. But like you were saying , regardless, it would be a blob. But the real range is quite far. We only have 640 in the 737. I will try the EMB in cruise again to see if it porpoises. Heck I will take a video if it does. When I did the flight I made sure to hae clear sies and no weather changes because I know the rapid changes in wx can really mess things up. As for the FADEC thing I think I found what I was doing wrong on my end so that is no longer an issue. I will check the AP setting int he config but I am 99.9% sure I have it so the joystick can not over ride the autopilot.

I know the buses they did (Vol 1 & 2) do not work on 64bit O/S (Vista or W7). You cna fly them ok and all but as soon as you want to leave the sim CTD.....Considring more and more hard core FS fans are using 64bit O/S I think they "should" support it.....BTW, I have and still do love the 737-300/400/500 series they did. It was and still is a great add on.
I run my 'buses (both vol 1&2) under W7 64 bit without any CTD's and I agree with you about the 737's.Phil

Does this add-on have a widescreen option for the 2D panel? All the videos I've seen look like a 4:3 panel stretched to fit a widescreen. Round objects like the compass rose and the round switches on the OHP are egg shaped and look awful in the videos. As far as only supporting 32-bit Windows..."words mean stuff." What does that mean, if not that in the event of a 64-bit specific problem, you're on your own? If this were a Flight1 product, where you could try it and then get your money back if it doesn't work, it'd be different than buying it with a built-in excuse for the dev to sidestep your support issues. I just think it smells funny.I had the same problem as Altstiff with their 'busses consistently causing a crash on exit. AFAIK, the gauge unload routine that caused the 64-bit crashes never was fixed. Can't say I liked being in the position of paying for a product and having the dev point to the fine print as a reason to not fix a bug affecting lots of users. It's also a bit aggravating to see HUDs that are not properly collimated still showing up...the authors of the VRS Superbug and some freeware gauges have gotten it figured out, so the state of the art has advanced past a simple see-through HSI like the HUD I remember on the FeelThere Legacy. A HUD that can't accurately place the horizon line or PI kind of misses the whole point of having one. Then there's the whole back and forth identity confusion...is it a Feel There product, or a Wilco product, and will we once again find the support forums closed and all support redirected to Wilco's infamous e-mail based support black hole? That's exactly what happened to users of a number of FeelThere's previous products. The whole thing makes me a bit queasy. Maybe it's a decent add-on...maybe it's not. But there are too many other good products out there that don't leave me wondering...RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

FT doesn't make widescreen 2D panels... They still think we're living in 2000... A shame. :(

A HUD that can't accurately place the horizon line or PI
incorrect ... see information from an initial critic -
I initially thought that the flight path vector was still just messed up. I find that if in the HUD view I zoom to 0.60 the HUD aligns with the horizon, flight path vector seems to work, and iit is a much better experience. (http://forum.iemit.c...?g=posts&t=4785)

They actually included a VC, that's the stuff to be flown in 2010. :( No need to go "flat screen" since FS2004.
how about -or -to be included in SP1, unless there are unexpected problems with gauge integration.--
It's about time Scoob... Really. Better late than never eh? :(
