Looking for a small bizjet

Featured Replies

I have the prop planes I like to use but I've been looking for a good small bizjet and having some problems. Some of the ones I've downloaded have nice external models but terrible panels, or no VC. I really liked the look of the Phenom 100 and 300.Does anyone know of a freeware small bizjet package that is ok on all three counts? If not how hard is it to adapt a 2D panel from say the Learjet 45 for use with a model that has a bad panel? Thanks

The last part is easy.Go into the panel folder of the plane you want to change and rename the panel.cfg to panel.bak.Create a new text document in Notepad and copy this to it...[fltsim]alias=lear45\panelsave the file as panel.cfg and you are good to go.Lars Roenig (sp?) did a nice Lear 25, but I don't remember if it has a VC. It should be in the library.regards,Joe

The only freeware bizjet that I can think of the has a custom panel and sound is Lars Roennig Learjet 25 (base pack is on flightsim). If you want more of a choice then Eagledoft is the way to go.

Thats also the only one that comes to mind Lars did a great job on it. it does not come with a vc. I guess its gone from the avsim library its on flightsim.com file name Lalj25.zip

Go to Flightsim dot com and search their library for Alejandro Rojas Lucena. He has a few models including a Citation X and a Citation 500, bookmarks sort of, that all have VC'sScoob?????Do you mean what I think you mean?regards,Joe

Hmm - is that a clue about a future Feelthere project?

For FS9 it would be a dream, I like these small biz-jets.

That would be great for an FS9 developer to get into the "new" VLJ market. :( My biggest disappointment from switching back to FS9 was losing my Flight 1 Cessna Mustang :( By far IMHO the sweetest bird to fill FSX skies :( Wish there was a way to fly the Mustang in FS 9

Hi,I've always been partial to the old Veneaviones Citation II... Everything seemed extremely well done except for the lack of a decent panel and sounds for it... I looked for the base package and I can't seem to find it now... Is Alejandro Rojas Lucena related to Veneaviones ???That Mustang has me really tempted to load up my FSX again - she does look like a nice bird... Flight1 products are all usually top shelf...Regards,Scott

I know you asked "free" but the only truly excellent small bizjet for FS9 I can think of is the eaglesoft Citation II. They have been working on a new version of the CJ1. I trust it will be very good when it comes out.

Hi...That sounds really encouraging... While I've never purchased and Eaglesoft product - from PIX - I always thought the biz jet panels left a little something to be desired... It looks like they really raised the bar on the new Citation X Ver 2.0 - sadly - the plane is just a little too big for my liking... A CJ1 - done to the same level - might be just what the doctor ordered for my first Eaglesoft purchase... I'll keep an eye out for it...Kind of been eyeing that new Twinstar too...;)Regards,Scott

Really? For FS9 too? Oh, that would be really nice, because I like the CCJ1. If the Mustang would be for FS9 as well, I'm sure I would have it... :( Yeah, if I'm serious, if some developers would continue to make some nice planes for FS9, I would pay for it.The CCX V2 is a little bit too expensive for me at this time, but maybe there will be a coupon sometimes. I have the V1 and I'm ok with it at the moment. I don't know the difference.But...back to topic... I don't know much about freeware-bizzes, but the Eaglesoft CCJ1 is one of my favorite. I looked for a nice Learjet, pay- or freeware instead of the default one, but without success. Lars Roennig's Lear was called before. Veneaviones did a CCJ2, afaik.

There is a coupon available right now and as a former user of the CX v1 and current user of the CX v2 (in FS9), I can highly recommend the upgrade. New features are plentiful; primarily the new FMS and Eaglesoft has done a great job with this one. :( From their website >>>Avsim Gold Star Award Winning Citation X Extreme V2.0!Eaglesoft Cessna Citation X Extreme V2.0 is built for the "Advanced" Flight Simulator Enthusiast who wishes to own a "More Realistic Citation X with Advanced Operation and Features Set" regardless of costs
