How about that first flight in the Carenado 208B?

likely differences in the controllers ...
Your correct and I fixed my problem. Running the HOTAS Joystick analyser I noted that even after calibration it was indicating a lowest reading of 1%. So I put a couple of lines of code in my joystick program that whenever the throttle was between 0% and 1% to lock the Throttle at 0%. Retried the Caravan and lo and behold it doesn't walk at minimum throttle. Thanks for your inspiration guys. :(

Sorry, I didn't want to hijack this thread with this door problem.I've opened a dedicated topic in the Carenado forum :(
David, you've probably already found out by now that there is a complete door control menu available by selecting Shift+4.

Yes and I have recalibrated my Hotas Cougar to make sure. However, the Caravan's walking behaviour remains the same. I did notice that this walking stabilises at approximately 35KTS on the ASI a little fast for taxi. I am well aware of the weird turboprop behaviour in all the versions of FS that I can recall back to the Bruce Artwick days. My F1 PC12 exhibits similar behaviour. I have a stick button programmed to give 20% braking to all brakes but this is a little too much for the C208. The real question is, I guess, why do some users see this behaviour whilst others do not.
Make sure that you pull the mixture lever back to idle detent when on the ground. If it is full rich, it will put out too much torque and walk all over the place.I just did a flight from TTCP to TGPY and everything worked beautifully. It took off beautifully with flaps 20 and it landed perfectly with full flaps. I would like to try putting RealityXP Garmin 530 in it and hopefully Turbine Sound will make some little better engine noise, but other than that, this is a perfect Grand Caravan as far as I can tell. I'm thrilled to have it. :(

Has anyone found a way to change the default aircraft configuration settings accesed by SHIFT-3 and SHIFT-4 for that matter? Having to access via SHIFT-3 SHIFT-4 at every flight startup is boring. I think that a separate startup configurator would have been more useful than the current setup.

My Microsoft FF2 joystick throttles this bird perfectly up and down the scale....and what a feeling taking off and landing with Force Feedback and ECZA!Stan

For those who are still considering this purchase I have added a review in the "Readers Product Reviews" forum. You can find it here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/294627-carenado-grand-caravan/

See the Carenado Support Forum for a workaround. :(
