November 16, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member DaveDo you have to be linked to internet for metar updates. What if I just want to fly with my own preset weather. Dont always want to fly with real worl weather.I get an error when I try to use the app without internet connection.Yes, it's purely for real world weather updates.Hi Dave,I am running Version 1.02 without problems on XP, however, running it on 64bit W7 I get "Exception received 14-WEATHER_INVALID_METAR". Both systems are running FSXA in the same part of the world, north Scotland.GeorgeIt's one bad Metar out of 500. I'm removing this message in version 1.04 out today with any luck as I think people are assuming there is a big problem when it's just one Metar out of 500 or so. Click here for GameSpy replacement

I'm removing this message in version 1.04 out today with any luck as I think people are assuming there is a big problem when it's just one Metar out of 500 or so.It seems as though it doesn't continue after the message. Why would it be different between the two OSs? I have exactly the same scenery addons on both machines and never see the message on XP.GeorgeEdit. It does continue.

November 17, 201015 yr Thanks for the update. I can't see any donate button on your page. It surely deserves one. :(
November 17, 201015 yr Any posibility to have a similar program that just work with default weather themes. I have created a few themes myself and would like to add these functionalities to the default weather themes.

November 17, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Great idea!!!My FSX computer is not hooked up to the internet so I don't have access to VATSIM weather.Regards, Mike MannSorry not at this moment. Some time in the future perhaps but this app brings more benefit to users wanting on line weather then off line users.Of course if you are flying with off line weather then why not have a go yourself using custom weather. November 19, 201015 yr For a computer as weak as mine, this'd be a winner for real weather. One obvious question - does this require anything such as a registered version of FSUIPC 4.0, or Microsoft Framework 2.0? Dave. November 22, 201015 yr DaveLooks like good work - it does one thing which ASE does not which is put 10 or so visibility layers into each station to graduate the visibility up from the ground layer. Is there a way you could specify a maximum upper visibility in the interface, such that the highest altitude vis layer (eg 11,000 feet up) never exceeds this. I hate the deafult "unlimited" visibility in FSX which looks and "is" unrealistic.RegardsRob
November 22, 201015 yr This is excellent. You have improved my FSX experiance 20 fold, thank-you.As someone else suggested, please add a donate box. This is too good to be free!My ILS approaches now feel real, like the ones I flew in real life!
November 23, 201015 yr I was going to post that when flying with Open Clouds running, every five minutes or so, my FPS would plummet for about 10-15 seconds. I assumed it was from the weather being downloaded and updated. I then found the newer version available and downloaded and installed it and it has apparently fixed the FPS drop! Thanks again for a very cool program. Truly appreciated. Alexander Alonso
