Team ,I know not everything can be simulated, but it will be close, but if you had to give a % to the real thing, how close operational will the NGX be to the real thing, or can you even do that? I'm only asking as a read these manuals I remember Robert saying something along the lines as if its in the handbook, it will be in the sim, or something like that.Mike Davey 777

I know this question was answered before, but I am unable to find it! So, I will ask it again. Will the NGX be able to use 2d stretched on multi screens?

What do you mean exactly? Isn't that a function of the video driver?

What I think he means is that if you have 3 screens (hw spanned with Eyefinity or similar), will the 2d panels resolution be suited for that aspect ratio (3x 4:3 will be like 4:1).

I know at he last sim conference i was at in Seattle, don't know if i met Ryan -(tabs) there or the one before cause i go to all of them. But they had the Level D set up there and the time. I would of quite simming rather then go virtual cockpit then ,but slowly i got into it and now i wouldn't go back to 2d for nothing but they showed me and put the 2d cockpit over 3 screens and i really liked the look of it, so ya i would think you will be able to do it.

Hello Everybody ,And first of all Ryan and PMDG, i wanna congratulate you for what you've done in this 737 NGX project : sure it'll be a revolution in the FS world. As this thread is diverting to i dont know what and not talking of the HGS anymore i think its about time to initiate a new topic; What do you think?Kaman BALuxembourg

Justa want to make a plea for PMDG to release the NGX soon...It just delays the release of their upcoming 777!When they start showing screenshots of the triple I´m going to be all over this forum like flies over s#@tCome on PMDG, lets move on to the T7!

I used to go upfront for most of my flights. Its totally disappeared now and if I was you guys if you do go upfront I would be quiet about it. I know its an aviation forum but Al Qaeda will find a way. Some loony in Japan did this years ago and that is why they have a point blank refusal policy. You are giving anyone in the world access to this information. And I would deem this a security risk after the 9/11 hijackings (I predicted the cockpit was penetrable back pre 9/11). While its nice to reminisce about spending time on the flight deck, don't you think there is a risk to people's lives by even mentioning HOW you got up front. As far as I am concerned this is as bad as sharing your tales of lust and how you got into a girl's panties. (Anyone sharing/bragging intimate details of their personal encounter has no respect for others)Yes I have been to NY pre 9/11. I find it terrible we don't take security seriously still. One good thing can come out of this. At least we know which airlines need to monitor their aircrew more and LOCK the door. If there is a bomb on board (BOB) then access to the cockpit means nothing as the terrorists can destroy the aircraft. But at least the pilots have a chance to get it on the ground and allow Spec Ops to do a take down, similar to Marseille in 1995. http://en.wikipedia....nce_Flight_8969If there is no bomb (BOB) and the terrorists have access to the cockpit it is a high risk situation and almost unrecoverable. Preventing access to the cockpit is the most important security matter in today's aviation due to the current conflict between the West and Militant Islam.I warned of this pre-9/11, got kicked off an Australian flight forum and BINGO the terrorists struck. I still don't think people realize how serious the situation is. The attempts by terrorists to attack have somewhat been downplayed by Governments for Political Correctness and to keep things 'moderate and restricting a clash of cultures'.Aviation safety is very critical. And providing information on a Public forum like this is like in WWII broadcasting to the Germans (if you are in England) whether or not they hit their targets or where targets of opportunity are. While the flight you are on may not be targeted, someone else's may be. Do you think it is fair on others? If you want a lesson on aviation security start with El Al/Israel. They have the best security on the planet, as they are dealing with the same problem and in fact started well before the mainstream 'West' was involved.

jumpseat flying is difficult everywhere even more after 9/11 but it sometimes just goes well, most companies don't have a real ban on it.. I once had to fly to Rome from Milan and started asking aroud if anybody had some contacts to get a visit in the cockpit and everybody said "impossible after 9/11". Well I got my lucky day. Being the first to board the plane i asked the FA at the door if there was any chance to visit the cockpit and was told "I'll see what can be done", well i was lucky as i had a hat from the italian ATC staff (taken at a fair a bit of time earlier) i sat in the first rows and during pre flight the FO came over to have a chat asking if i was an ATC or pilot ("both, virtual :(") and we had about 5 minutes chatting about FS, VATSIM and so on. He then had work to do... i thought it didn't work out when at the start of descent the FA told me i had been invited upfront... the captain had a look at me and told the FA i'd remain for the rest of the flight, strapped me in the jumpseat and so i had my landing in LIRF from the cockpit. GREAT experience. I was going to an airshow but i really didn't care anymore :D Just ask, if you don't ask they won't invite you... and what can happen? at most they tell you "no we can't let anybody on the flight deck" ;)
This is highly irresponsible. You CANNOT DO THIS anymore. Even before it was full of risk. There is a reason why pilots carry a 9mm in the cockpit in the US.

PMDG give update roughly for "2010" ok? now we are in 2011 with not an update in my sight! all eye am saying is the VC and HUD, what about the External or written list of what has been updated such as*MCP Fully working and complete*HUD Fully working and complete*VC fully painted and modelled*FMC 75% completeyou get the idea?? ever since eye be using PMDG eye see always push backs on release dates, eye know they are not spectacular but "released in late 2010" etc is what eye mean!Eye have alot of friends on real world and internet that have lost interest in PMDG but then eye have friends that love PMDG!!!! going from "mid 2010" to "late 2010" to "early 2011" to "it will be released when it is released"This is simulation eye for one am not bothered about qualitys - aslonger as it simulates as close as possible to the real aircraft like failures, bird strikes, tire blow outs, body ware from hard landings and mis use of control surfaces such as flaps etc etc, engine hot starts, anti ice and just icing that causes systems to faint! this is what eye think developers miss! the word SIMULATION is getting trned into a very nice looking arcade aircraft and teasing supporters.!Ferd B

Highly irresponsible... carrying people in aluminium tubes at nearly the speed of sound at 10 km altitude is irresponsible in the first place. By the way, terrorists don't need us to give them this information they used to go to flying schools, in the US and somewhere else too, so please bash flight instructors first. And, you might want to check the forum rules. ;) Hvae a wonderful new year!
