December 27, 201015 yr Hello, I am really looking for a good Gulfstream V out there... cause I know it is very in demand now, and I have seen a lot of people requesting it on other forums. Does anyone here know of a Good Gulfstream V? Right now I have the HTAI, but it is really not very good. And needs a good Panel and soundset.-thank you
December 27, 201015 yr There is not a good GV or any good gulfstream for that matter. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
December 27, 201015 yr The only one I know of is from the Abacus Premier Collection, which isn't that great, and isn't a Gulfstream V, but a Gulfstream III. It is FSX and FS9 and it does have a VC, you can test a trial version of it out, and if you want to buy it, it is 10 Bucks:http://www.abacuspub.com/default_fs.htmlAl Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
December 27, 201015 yr Unfortunately Gulfstream, as a policy, does not sanction the use of their aircraft in Flight Simulator. This makes it extremely hard to get good information on flight dynamics and flight deck systems. This is the main reason that there are no quality Gulfstream aircraft available. Until Gulfstream changes their attitude towards the FS community there will likely be no Gulfstream aircraft coming any time soon.
December 28, 201015 yr One of my dreams. I've wanted one for over 10 years. Wonder if it'll ever happen.Stan
December 28, 201015 yr The only Gulfstream V I've remembered was a pretty decent freeware by Mike Stone, but this was all. Not bad at all, concerning the panels are simple however...Dave. December 28, 201015 yr As always, "good" is defined in the eye of the beholder. I am away from my computers which have FS installed until next week and do not have access to them at the moment. There are several models that were available for FS9 including a dandy 2D panel IMHO. Unfortunately, that panel does not work in FSX. I use a modified default Learjet panel for FSX, but usually regress to FS9 when I want to fly the GV (or GVI which has also been added). If you would like, after I return home I will add the information I have in a reply to your post. whether they will be "good" enough would be up to you. The FS9 model is still a favorite of mine flying a combination of higher, faster, longer, and with more payload than any other real Execjet to my knowledge. The plane flies fine in FSX, but the panel leaves a lot to be desired compared to FS9.Good luck:RTH Hello, I am really looking for a good Gulfstream V out there... cause I know it is very in demand now, and I have seen a lot of people requesting it on other forums. I currently have a set of gauges from a freeware Global Xpress XRS model that I've been saving to help port overs, along with the installation of iSGsim's TCAS and EHSI gauges. Dave. If anything it would raise interest in their product. What do they gain from this? I see no benefit for them. I see no benefit for them.Oh yes! As if the vast majority of flightsimmers could actually afford to buy a Gulfstream... :( The "gain" and "benefit" is simply a matter of patent enforcement. They have patents on even the shape of their windows. If they allow an official "exception" even in such a relatively trivial matter as a 3d model, then they've essentially gutted any legal recourse they might persue for future patent infringements by real a/c manufacturers. FS ain't got a chance, at least legally. Jay

How about this, as a member of the Gulfstream family, I am proud to be one of the thousands who have made the largest donation ever received to the regional United Way and IRC, for the third straight year. More volunteers to charities and civic organizations in our region can be traced back to Gulfstream than any other employer... Yea, we are a bunch of greedy SOBs, we are. December 30, 201015 yr as a member of the Gulfstream familyAs a member of the family, tell them to lighten the hell up and let the FS community represent their product in a great way - Damn near everyone else has, and nobody is out there stealing the patents of Cessna because of it.Its a hobby and a passion for us, and I assume you as well since you are here. I can't believe the mentality of some companies - The company I work for shut down the main office for almost one day so Mel Gibson could jump off of it in Leathal Weapon.
