January 22, 201115 yr Just wondering, when i turn the stall and vent heat switch on, the cabin heat switch comes off and vice versa?. Is it the way it works in real life or that's a bug?.Thanks Real Deraps
January 22, 201115 yr The Emergency Oxygen lever is already "pulled" when I load the aircraft. This is a bug, correct?Jason Jason Springer (p3dv5.2, MSFS 2020)
January 24, 201115 yr I wrote to Carenado about my experience (complete computer crash-restart) when I first purchased a week or so back.I struggled to get it running and every flight ended in a complete computer crash.I've had a very stable FSX for over a year and running a lot of payware aircraft, including the almost complete Carenado fleet.I tried in vain to have a complete flight but it didn't happen, so I uninstalled, but damage had been done to FSX and I ended up having to re-install FSX.After the re-install, I added my aircraft back one by one and the C340 was one of the last to re-install.It is now working fine and I've not had a single problem with it.Not really sure what the problem was, but just glad to have it all working again and the C340 to fly around with. It's a superb aircraft and one I didn't want to miss,Frank Cooper
January 24, 201115 yr Anyone notice the EGT gauge is not working...? :(That was noted way at the beginning of the list :( Bert
January 24, 201115 yr Not sure this a "bug" but the numbers on the altimeter roll tapeare awfully small.. is this really like this in the real airplane?Edit: found a picture on the Aerosonic web-site.. this is a bug.FYI - not sure what other posts have been made on this item, but the model altimeter shown in the picture and the version Carenado used in the 340 are not the same. I have the exact model that Carenado used sitting on my bench right now, about to be calibrated. It is identical in every way to what Carenado put in their aircraft, and does have the smaller hundreds digits. It is the Aerosonic 101450-1172 unit. It's actually rated from -1000 ft to +50,000 ft.Hope that puts that one to bed :(
January 24, 201115 yr Yes, I saw that. My Link :( I'm losing track of who posted what but that was a damned good read.Maybe it was Carenado's way of giving the option without having to do the animation or other complicated stuff.I found the same thing. Hit the / key at altitude and you'll go down REALLY quick. Hope that puts that one to bed :(Yes, I stand corrected on that one - but since you have the exact model in your hands, can you describe what the '000 digit does as the hand rotates from 900 to 950 to 000?I assume you can use the barometer knob to move the mechanism through it's paces.. January 25, 201115 yr For anyone who wants to try a quick set of tweaks I have done, check the file library tomorrow for C340mods.ZIP which contains a slightly modified ground effect in the air file and a bit more drag and less wing area in the aircraft.cfg. It now lands quite firmly at around 80kts with 10" or so of MAP, which is very close to what i'm seeing in the few Youtube videos of real world landings available. A video of my test approach into Friday harbor is here:http://www.youtube.c...h?v=pHju3vTi0o0 excellent video John C

They are fixed at zero (they are just painted on, they don't move). It is the needle that gives you the 1's & 10's readout. The small numbers (black on white) are the hundreds and the numbers left of that are the thousands and tens of thousands. This altimeter looks very similar to Carenado's http://midcontinentw...44E5.html?MN=MN!Same altimeter except that one is rated for 20,000 feet and won't be the one used here as the service ceiling is above that. The one Carenado actually used is the 101435-whatever, which is again the same altimeter but rated to 35 thousand feet. That's actually the version they will have used but the three are the same altimeter, they just have different max altitudes.
