I do believe they have stated that they don't have a fix for the flashing texture issue and suggest you turn off the icing effects.

Computers are complex devices with thousands of different configurations... If I install my product on a similar system that doesn't have this problem and I can't recreate it .... then my standard answer would have to be.. the same as PMDG has stated before...

Who can know the order of installed / uninstalled programs, registry tweaks by registry fixers, optimizers..etc.. and what effect they may have on a particular system or possible actual hardware issues that don't show up until stressed in a particular way...

I have them turned off on my system and still love flying this plane...

To each his own... but it certainly can't be cost effective to attempt to repair a customer's particular computer issue, when your software has been vetted on thousands of systems that don't exhibit this particular issue.

I had the issue, followed the guidelines to fix it and just shrugged and didn't complain. My system is fairly mainstream except for the 3 screens and fairly stable with few problems with add ons.

Anyway, maybe there's a lot of folks that are like me...it'd be nice to have it fixed but, whatever. I'd rather have a v2 that had other features bundled that you paid for. Great airplanes are, generally, v2 worthy. But if their big money is in big jets who am I to argue? Maybe, in time, they'll come back to something regional.

Well, in a way I do agree. In a way I do not.

Since there are quite several people with this problem you can't just say computers are complex beasts, we can't recreate the problem and so on.. because all those people can recreate this problem every time. And I'm not talking about two persons. It's more. You included. Hardly a customer's particular computer issue :)

I agree, it's not a show-stopper but if this wouldn't be PMDG people wouldn't be so nice about it. It's a bug.

I guess I missed the post where they said they are not going to fix it. Now I know. Moving on...

Is there a way in FSX to delete the 2D cockpit from just one plane? I searched the aircraft.cfg of JS41 but it's all about VC or cabin or outside. So I'm guissing that is FSX coded thing but is there a way to delete 2D cockpit from JetStream since it doesn't have one and live 2D for other aircrafts as they are?

You should dig in panel.cfg file for the particular plane. Usually (if not always) window00 is the 2D panel. But JS41 did not have a 2D panel as I recall.

Window00 is VC panel IIRC, but the 2D view in FSX is still there although 2D cockpit is not modeled.

that is impossible, it is hard coded into the engine
